A wonderful market with a fantastic array of stalls. Homeware, jewellery, food (the honeyed cashews are INCREDIBLE), pet care, candles, so much! All vendors were lovely, and respectful of browsing (no pushiness). It’s a big enough space to browse for a little while but there are also food stalls with seating for you to pause and relax. Parking is a little tricky but it’s absolutely worth a visit.

Splendid regeneration of heritage buildings set in well managed public realm. Worth visiting even if you don't want lovely coffee and chocolate. Good, clean, but small, public toilets.

Stunning market halls with a wide selection of stalls selling house plants to vintage clothes. Come early in the day (morning to lunchtime) to avoid disappointment. If you're a fan of Mackie Mayor in central Manchester, then you'll love the original food hall here with different vendors, styled closely to MM but with a more "authentic" and cosy feel.

This place is the one I like best. I go to many restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very chummy and the food they offer is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

Superb place, choicest shops to buy from, their open market, and multiple food hub was the overall highlight. Must try Karma Cola alongwith cheesy dipped, jalapeno nacho, and their special martini (forgetting its original name, my bad 😏) lots to explore, and basically have a chilled out time with friends, and family

(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food from the pretty decent selection of food stalls. I was tempted by the pizzas but in the end I went for the steak sandwich from Tender Cow. It was really good but wolfed down way too quickly. A friend had the steak and eggs and I tried some of the salsa and it was absolutely divine! Definitely a dish I would order on my next visit. Overall, I really like this kind of hipster-ish food markets. You do pay slightly higher for the experience but certainly worth the treat. The other problem which you may get is finding an empty table since this market is very popular and usually busy. Also, the coffee from House Coffee is pretty good. I didn't get the usual acidic after taste so it went down very smooth

I love the market area in Alrincham. It is expensive, there is a lot of variety and a great atmosphere. Even kids enjoy it! My stepson enjoys a burger and chips when we can choose whatever we like.

I've never been here before, but I wasn't disappointed. Food was amazing and a nice little bar in the corner. Loads of different options to eat, food or dessert 🍨 Definitely will be back. Didn't have the pizza but they looked amazing, probably best to share one though between 2.

Become a victim of its own success. Obviously a great vibe, lovely staff and amazing to have such a great selection of food and drink available. Bit pricey for what it is and often too busy to get a table. Still would recommend

We came here for lunch, the market has various outlets with different food and drink selections. You download an app and then order to your table. I had a pizza and my partner had quesadillas. It’s always really busy so normally have to share tables with other people so may have to wait if coming in larger groups. Will definitely return as the food and atmosphere was great

Lovely place with a great vibe and a brilliant choice of food. Only complaint is their glitchy app required for covid friendly ordering. It told us some foods weren't available when in fact they were.

  • 5/5 Carol C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice little market with a variety of stalls, from quirky to vintage and artisan breads and cheeses. The old indoor market has tables and chairs (and a few outside too) where you can sit down with your lunch of choice and alcohol is available. There is a nice atmosphere and it can be difficult to get a seat sometimes.

Live an evening there… loads of different foods to choose from x

  • 4/5 Paul B. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent market with a nice vibe to sit an relax. The market serves excellent food from the various stalls. Only gave it four stars as you have to order the food via an app which is cumbersome. The service was slow but the food is excellent.

Really good . Very vibrant. Had a nice meal and picked up some fresh monkfish and mussels for dinner and also some herb plants from a stall for the garden.

Absolutely love Alty Market. One of my favourite places to visit. Relaxed atmosphere with great music. Excellent app enabling you to order from multiple food outlets in the same order. Fabulous selection of food. The salami pizza was excellent. Fab drinks selection from Reserva wines and good beers on tap from the craft beer stall next door. Could spend hours here.

If you're in the market for good food, this is the place to eat. A few more gluten options would be good though

  • 5/5 Pep R. 2 years ago on Google
Perfect place to hang out with friends and family. I would strongly recommend go in spring and summer season because the area is in the outdoors so with cold weather it's not so conformable. I really enjoy the huge variety of little independent crafty shops that there are around the market, they make it special. The table setting and order's organization is always a excellent. However you must download one App to order everything, so go with the homework for home 🏠.

Great place to shop eat and drink. Artisan producers and goods. Well worth the visit. Food from Alty market very much the same as Mackie mayor in Manchester. Bit of a wait for food but definitely worth it.

Fantastic space for food and drinks both socialising and adventuring out on your own. There is a good variety of stalls to order from, of brilliant quality. It can get extremely busy, and is rather expensive but it is a great place to be.

This is the original "modern market" much copied in Manchester, Stockport, Macclesfield etc. Very popular..no room at the Inn on a very wet Friday lunch. Oddly plenty outside. Plenty of food stalls to cover even the trendiest eater. Real ale feom Jack in the box bar. ( Blackjack brewery. ) £4.40 for the session ale.£6 for a 175 ose wine. Not cheap but this is a trendy destination. Loses a point for tippy tappy card payment. Madge warns of the coming Social Credit system the West so admires China for!

A great local market with a mix of fruit and veg and other stalls. A very friendly man running a pet stall with nice treats for our dog. We didn't try any but there were also a really big number of bars and eateries.

  • 4/5 Kelly G. 1 year ago on Google
Great venue, lots of nice food choices, open plan shared tables. Very loud and bustling atmosphere, dog and kid friendly. Gets really busy, but worth any wait. Check out the outer stalls as well as inside, for some hidden gems!

I recall this place from my visits with Mum back in the 1960's, when it was still a proper indoor market. What a lovely tasteful transformation this is. To have such an abundance of quality eateries all in one place is wonderful and the addition of "Jack in the Box" a real/craft ale bar was the icing on the cake for me. Quality cask & craft keg ales from Black Jack brewery. I tried several, all of which were in great condition! We also sampled a selection of bites from the Pizza bar, which were all superb particularly the fresh Foccia bread. Ok, its not the cheapest but you get what you pay for, delicious! If you've never been here before i highly recommend the experience.

Really enjoyed the roasted squash, tagine, and Chicken shawarma (From Ruden). Exceptional! Yet, the coffee was a letdown—served cold after a lengthy wait. Suggest grabbing coffee elsewhere before getting in the market for fantastic food.

Lovely market in the heart of Altrincham, with lots of different stalls including dog accessories and treats, ceramics, paintings and prints, clothes and more. It's great because it is an outdoor market but it is covered so you don't need to worry about the rain, and it's dog friendly so you can bring your furry friend along too. There is also a delicious Caribbean stall on the side which is only open on market days, and they do amazing food and have lots on the menu, but you could also visit the main food hall bit which is similar to Mackie Mayor.

I love the market area in Alrincham. It is a little pricey, but for the type off food on offer 🌮🥞and the quality, its worth it😋 Especially after a long muddy bike ride with the nephew down the Bolling river, in the blistering cold. Make sure you adhere by the local sign 😄

Great to have table service now, however the order app could be a bit more user friendly. Also there’s is no outdoor heating and limited seating inside. Glad to have the market back open and running but a few niggles to sort!

Great stalls, vendors are very friendly and helpful. Shop with them a few times and they will recognize and greet you the next time they see you. Good selection of fresh produce and fish reasonably priced, as well as ready made delicacies and other quality items and gifts. Take a trip down memory lane and check out the antique stalls. Good choice of food vendors as well. Wonderful vibe overall.👍👍👍

Nice vibe and quality local produce. Some of the dishes from the market hall are over priced and seating can be difficult to secure. But well worth a visit - some brilliant traders on a Sunday.

Have been here a few times and usually enjoy it, plenty of tasty food (tender cow, honest crust and tacos are all fantastic). But visited recently under local lockdown restrictions with my husband and baby and had a bad experience with poor communication from staff. We asked if we could move inside from an outside table and were told by one waitress this was ok, but when inside another told us in a quite rude and accusatory way that we couldn't be inside. We understand that the restrictions can mean different rules when eating out but it was a shame the staff weren't able to communicate the situation in a friendly and professional manner. Unfortunately despite the great food this puts us off going back.

First time at this eatery. Ordered two meals. Waited so long for the second the first was finished. Good they have retained the beautiful main building and toilets. Miss the old market though...
