Took the kids here over bank holiday. My two year old and 6 year old really enjoyed it. It’s pram friendly so would also be perfect for babies as it’s great sensory activity watching the fish. They have toilets half way around as well as a small soft play area. There is interactive activities too so good for older kids. There is a small but non avoidable gift shop and there is a photo opportunity at the start but easy avoided if you want.

I went here with my boyfriend and it was a contributing factors to one of the best days I've had in the Trafford Centre. The staff are lovely, the layout is beautiful, it's very educational and I just life aquariums anyway. We had a little quiz sheet to encourage us to look around and learn more. Everything was lit up beautifully. They have rescue turtles (and terrapins that they took off the hands of people who didn't want them anymore), sharks, stingrays, axolotl, crabs, loads of things to list. It was a great experience, and when I told a member of staff I'd love to be a diver one day she took and interest and asked me questions about it making it just that bit more comfortable. I loved it here and I'll definitely come again.

Nice experience but overpriced for what it is. £23-£25 for adults. £19.50 for 3-17 year old. And it takes about an hour or so to do the entire thing. We also felt sorry for the small spaces available for stingrays etc. They were just swimming around in a circle. The space for the lobster didn't seem adequate either. So sad. Imagine being in the vast ocean, only to be ripped from your natural habitat to live in a space a fraction of the size!!! For the money they are charging, they can do better... Unlike other places there are no live shows which was disappointing. The pictures as well are overpriced and the person taking them basically points and shoots. You cannot get any decent shots on the background you want because it's all preset... So our best shot could not be put into the shark as we wanted. For the price they expect, more care and consideration should be taken into the shots. Our coats were placed at the side. The guy didn't point out they were in the shot which ruined the picture.... If you get the Kelloggs discount code, use them to take the edge off. Otherwise, save your money.

I would say this is just about the perfect exhibit in terms of length for little ones. My kids are both under 3 and were engaged in everything right up to the end. It's not the cheapest of places, especially as you pay over £20 per adult, but at least under 3's are free. There's no food available here, which surprised me, so keep that in mind when you get to the end!

A very small sealife so don’t come in with big expectations! Using the lotto days out scheme meant that our tickets only cost £2 each otherwise we wouldn’t have went as i think the ticket price is pretty steep for what you get to sea. Lots of small tanks with similar fish in, however the turtles were a nice bonus!

What an amazing place to take your little ones. The over all day was loved by my little ones. They loved seeing all the different sea life creatures to the amazing tanks they had, some where you was able to get under & stick your head through so the kids get a good view of the beautiful fishes up & close. They also have a underground tunnel you walk through which is pretty magical as you can see all the tropical fishes & sharks swim above & around you, which my kids loved. Only downside is it gets very crowded if you were to go on a weekend. The over all place takes about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours They do have a mini indoor play house area for kids, which is why van take an 1.5 in there , the only thing i would suggest is to have better drink & food machines, also the prices are ridiculously expensive. So i was glad i packed a lunch box for the kids, with snacks, water & juices. We did use the machines but the prices were insane Even with the controlled booking system, i beleive its very busy still so you may find having to wait for famalies to see certain things before your kids can, especially on the weekend Its extremely hot in there wouldn't advise you to wear thick big coats in there. But over all a quick fun family day out its not too bad. I purchased the legoland & sea life centre tickets as a bundle so does make it cheaper however i think it should be free for kids 4/3 under & not 2 under. {just a suggestion} Also you get photos taken before the main start of the sea life tour so that's nice. No restrictions in taking pictures & videos however flash photography is not allowed so don't be pulling out big cameras.

A nice hour out if you’re in Manchester area. Although it was a bit overpriced, there was also a very small variety of fish and it felt quite small. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable though, absolutely no issues with the staff. Would we come back? Probably not.

Visited 28/06/2023, got to buy this attraction and Legoland together on offer, if you get the opportunity and have the time to spend at both attractions then highly recommend you do so. Sea Life greeting on entry was so much better than Legoland, friendly and informative (not robotic greeting and explanation of site). Then through to the initial area where a presentation is made around turtles, we had a 2yr old granddaughter with us who it got a bit too dark for so needed holding until could get brought to the main exhibits area. The fact the fishes and the tanks are accessible to children of all ages means that the immersion into the experience is fantastic, this place is not just suitable for kids but for adults also. There is a lot to see and the opportunity to have pictures taken and get some photos/keyrings and wallet photos with digital photo downloads (link to download live for 7days only). Loved the walk through mini tunnel for kids and also the giant walk through tunnel as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a first time visitor to a Sea Life centre, I think we expected too much from this small aquarium. As a family we have always loved an aquarium. Living in Hull we are spoilt by having the best aquarium in the country, The Deep. We have also visited Aquariums in the US and each of these, again, set a high standard. The Sea Life Centre in Manchester’s Trafford Centre is jus far too small, not just for visitors but for the exhibits themselves. Many of the fish are contained in tall, deep but narrow tanks or smaller conical tanks. The large tank, which contains Sharks, Rays and a Turtle, also feels too small, with all the creatures just swimming around and around, not exploring their habitats or having much to do. There are plenty of creatures to see, both fresh and sea water fish species, the turtle and a collection of snakes but just as you start getting to your visit, it is over. You could easily be in the gift shop at the end of the tour within twenty minutes and that would be taking your time. One family we saw were heading back to the beginning saying “We’re not leaving after fifteen minutes after paying that much to come in” The Sea Life Centre in the Trafford Centre feels more like a side exhibit in a large zoo. If you can get discounted tickets, it is worth a visit but if you are thinking of paying full price, save your money and travel to The Deep in Hull to see what a real aquarium should be like.

We absolutely loved it here. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to help. They all have smiles and offer information about whatever we are interested in. There are opportunities to touch some of the sea life. My son was able to touch the starfish and has shrimps crawl onto his hands under the water, which was a fascinating experience, and all under the watchful eye of a brilliant staff member. We had tickets for 10am and was able to enter on time. It was very quiet there which was lovely and made the experience even more magical. They had the option of sitting in VR seats and ‘experiencing the sharks’ we didn’t try this but it’s a great added extra for those interested. The whole place is calm and peaceful and they have set times to visit if you wish to visit during their quiet times. During these times war defenders are available and lights and interactive items are turned off or dulled down to make it more enjoyable for those with autism or any other neurodiversity. The shop is small but has lots of items and it was especially interesting to see toys, keyrings and keepsakes of the creatures that you actually just saw rather than a mix of all sea life creatures, this means you can buy a keepsake from your favourite creature. The only one we noticed that was missing was the shrimp, it would’ve been great to have had something available to buy with those on, especially as they are available to touch. This is an experience I would highly recommend.

Loved it. Great experience. My nieces loved the sea life creatures, especially the mermaids. I myself enjoyed the facts given about the incredible creatures. Life is so beautiful when you see animals close up in water. The environment was clean and tidy. They had a area when you can touch a starfish with one finger. My niece enjoyed that. There was also a play area for kids. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I was concerned that it was more of a kids attractions but it wasn't. You can see a lot of different species that were rescued, you can snorkel with sharks paying a bit more and you can also touch starfish and cleaner fishes that remove dead skin from your hand ( this is a free option!) Overall nice experience. Really loved it

We booked our tickets online from the websites then you get available time slots and its an easy step by step process. The place has lots of parking space and its free. The place has lovely staff who will show you around and answer every question you have. Had a great submarine type of viewing it was very nice 👌. Lots of fish and turtles to see all comes with information you get to learn a lot. Took me an hour to see the whole place and taking pictures flash off though so we dont scare the fish 🙃.

Surprisingly good aquarium... + Animals look healthy and well looked after. Focus on interesting collections and some for all ages. - Not much focus on Atlantic or local aquatic life. Only negative if you're into that.

We've been before but still enjoyed another visit. Lots to see, do and find on this occasion as they had halloween activities. Kids enjoyed finding the answers to the questions on the activity sheets and then got a little prize at the end. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely trip with our little boy. It took about an hour to go around. The space around the entrance is lovely now ( i was there 4 years ago when they were renovating and it is so amazing now that all boards have come down). We even paid for the photos at the end, a little addition to the experience. There are plenty of interactive elements to keep the children entertained.

This place is quite a fascinating place to visit, I enjoyed it but as it’s much smaller than normal aquariums I recommend this to children. The staff were friendly, service was prompt and it’s a really beautiful place overall. The parking is available as it’s not as busy as other places, it’s very sanitary to me, as a germaphobe. It’s suitable for all age groups, I had lots of fun!

Tried the snorkel with sharks experience, and I have to say, it's probably the best thing I've ever done locally. My daughter and son came in and enjoyed every second of it. The staff were amazing and put my daughter at ease, to the point there was no hesitation for her getting in the cage. A fair price for the experience as 4 can go in together. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's looked at it but not yet booked.

I took my 2 month old baby to Manchester sea life. She absolutely loved it. For younger kids I think it's perfect as it's not very big. The time spent is enough for younger children who may get bored after a short amount of time. Other sea life centres are bigger. I would recommend to book before going. They have 2 for 1 offers available on the Kellogg's cereal boxes and some of the radox soap too.

This was our first visit to an attraction as Merlin Passholders. Quickly and easy to get checked through the entrance. Just a few minutes to wait to enter. There was a lovely little pre-show before you go through to the main aquarium. All the tanks were clean and had good visibility. There is a small touchpool open again to touch the starfishes. Small gift shop at the end of the aquarium as you finish you visit. It took us a little under 1 and a half hours to walk slowly around and give us a chance to see everything. All in all, a nice visit for children and adults alike.

Its great place with many attractions different species of sea animals and fishes . Sharks sea turtles or Stingrays. Not even mentioning that at the end you can touch some small creatures in small pond . Really enjoyed whole experience and very friendly staff . Definitely we will be going back more often because its worth it.

Went there with friends and their kids for a special day out. The place was clean and well organized and Covid conscious. There’s an added surprise half way through the center there is a soft play area that the children seem to love. Place is well decorated for the Halloween and there’s also a station with dressed witch. Overall, unfortunately we didn’t think it was worth it. Tickets were too expensive for the size of this Sea Life.

Overall surprised at how small the attraction is for the price. Can get quite cramped when it’s busy we went on a week day and there was school trips and was hard to navigate with a buggy past the children. But my son still loved it.

Manchester Sea Life is the best of the Sea Lifes we have been to. It's a good size, plus you can get a fairly cheap LegoLand ticket with it. There are a lot of animals to see from the obvious like fish, to snakes and spider crabs.

I went to Sea Life Manchester on Wednesday as on there website it offered 40% for entry ticket 🎟 usually its about £20 for entry fee for the weekday but they offered 40% off for weekday so I bought the ticket online. I enjoy my experience but for me there's not much to see as I only went there for aleast 30 minutes. If you enjoy seeing and learning about turtles, sharks 🦈 and other exotic sea creatures then this is a place for you. But for me I think the the entry fee is abit overpriced for what the place offers luckily I got the 40% off for the entry ticket. I feel the price for the ticket should be £10 to £12 maximum instead of £20. I also believe if you book at the weekend the ticket prices is £25 for an adult which for me personally is overprice. Final verdict: Pros Good experience great seeing alot of sea creatures, such as sharks 🦈 turtles 🐢 and fish 🐟 . Also there's information on the wall about the sea creatures so if you are interested in learning about the fishes you can read about them. You can buy souvenirs for your day out. Cons Tickets prices can be expensive especially in the weekends. I only stayed in sea life manchester for aleast 30 minutes once I saw everything that's it.

Welcoming staff. Friendly and fun atmosphere. Lots of colourful sea creatures. Kids were excited about the sharks and stingrays, small playgym half way round with access to the toilets. Took us about 2 hours to get round, although I'd have preferred to read all the information signs but the kids wanted to push on. Would return in the future.

I took my 19 month old grandson and he absolutely loved it. There is quite a lot to see for little ones, also it's quite dark in there with the displays lit up so a great sensory experience for them. All the staff we encountered were lovely, helpful and informative about the various animals. There is also a rock pool where he petted a starfish, the woman there was great with him showing him how to pet. There is also a small play area inside that all the children seemed to enjoy, my grandson loved the small ball ponds. There are toilets and baby changing areas as well as vending machines for drinks and treats. We bought souvenir pictures which were reasonable. The gift shop on the way out was also quite good as it seemed to cater for everyone price wise.

Had a great time at sea life a few days ago! Claire did the turtle talk at the beginning which was amazing and later on she told us all about the different animals in the big tank with the sharks and turtles when at the star fish bit. she's very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic service from staffs and very children friendly. Enjoyed our day here!!! Lighting in the aquarium wasn’t too picture friendly (for the sake of the fishes)

Second visit here with my 2 year old. Nice sensory experience for her and great to see live fish, turtles and sharks as she's starting to learn the names of animals and sea creatures. The waters always look very clean and the animals in good condition and well looked after. It does feel a tad expensive for the 1-2 hours time we spend there.

I honestly had a super low expectation of this sealife Centre but it was surprisingly amazing and great fun my toddler loved it.? We especially enjoyed the interactive tanks that you can pop up into the middle of and of course the turtles! The place was clean and well organized and Covid conscious. That’s an added surprise half way through the center there is a soft play area with a few ball pits that the children seem to love. Take your time when you’re going through it’s a one-way system due to Covid and he can’t double back. The gift shop was amazing and very reasonably priced

Great place with some interesting sea life. my favourites were the massive turtles when you go underneath the underwater tunnel. we got to also touch starfish and have these shrimp-like creatures nibble on the dead skin on our fingers which was a strange but cool experience. although we went through it faster than I expected, heard it was 2 hours to go through but it took us less than an hour. Some of the larger fish we put into smaller tanks and some really tiny fish into massive tanks too which didn't make much sense.

We expected it to be a bit larger than it was but still, loads of great things are packed in a small space. We went on a weekday and there weren't a lot of people. My partner and I took our time to walk through. They make a good ambience in the place. The underwater tunnel, shark section and sea turtle.

It's very expensive for an hour of fun but if money isn't a concern them it's definitely worth seeing. It's smaller than London's I've but not crowded at all. Many interesting fish including Nemo and Dory, sharks, ray fish. It even has play area inside.

absolutely wonderful!!! we went for our anniversary and fed the turtles 😌💖 wonderful lovely emma taught us how to feed em safely and gave us some turtle facts. a beautiful aquarium very fun love the theming around the space (PJ masks branding everywhere is a bit much but i know its for the kids so if your kid likes PJ masks they might dig it.) splendid and wonderful thank you. ALSO BE SURE TO NOT WEAR GREEN unless you want to gain the power of slight invisibility on the green-screen photo op 😂😂😂

I came today with my 4 children and my nieces, I have been many times before and really had a good time as well in the past I have done the seatreck my and my son and fed the turtles with my younger son so you could say I am no stranger. But this last time I am not happy Staff were rude and not many of them around if you wanted to ask questions in the past I have been and there were loads of staff on stand by to answer questions and just make sure you have a good time. As I looked at the animals I just got a sense of sad fish and one looked dead my niece reported this to the only staff member we could find who didn't seem interested and just fobbed her off. I was really disappointed this visit and wonder if I will ever go back

I have been to sea life multiple times both with my kids and with my partner. I find it to be well worth the money as it is very immersive, interactive and detailed both for adults and kids. There is a lot more to do than just look at fish through the glass including a brand new virtual reality ocean tour. A soft play area is located in the middle of the walk through the centre. Unfortunately there is no food and drink for sale but probably for good obvious reasons. However a toy shop is located at the end with snacks and drinks, teddy's, magnets and more. I always love going back to the sea life centre and used the under water tunnel to propose to my girlfriend recently which she absolutely loved.

A very small place but was a fun experience nonetheless. The staff were friendly and the place was not busy so we were able to freely explore the place. The starfish section where we were able to touch them was a nice surprising touch to the experience! Overall we had a fun time however this place is more suited to take young children as it is quite small. I loved the pin I got from the gift shop which had a variety of different items.

We came to take part in the turtle feeding experience and it didn't disappoint. Kerry was very knowledgable and answered every question we had. It was amazing. The sealife centre was bigger and better than expected. Took about and hour to go through (if ur like us and like to read the info about the different spices in there) and thought the price was great especially if you think about the food they go through and upkeep it takes. Well worth a visit.
