We hadn't been there for a couple of years. A couple of weeks ago, we made the mistake of going to look around the 3 very large furniture shops, which when you're considering spending upwards of £3k on a suite, you need to take your time to look around. Didn't even realise there was a parking time restriction at White City retail park, and landed a £100 fine for staying too long! What a great way to kill off the businesses. Now we won't be going back again. We'll stick with on-line or go to somewhere that's not trying to steal your money for visiting them.

Great business park, with ample parking and a good range of furniture stores. The stores, as with most business parks are larger than average. Marks& Spencer Food Hall, Aldi, Curry's, Sofology, Nandos, KFC, to name a few. Fair amount of eateries including burgers & Japanese takeaway vans/stalls. White City is a stones throw away from Manchester United Stadium, so it can get extremely busy and very crowded on match days. Disabled parking and all stores have step free access.

Lovely village, had a walk around before the game started, and was really pleased with the ground, clean and well looked after, and had a good look at the memorabilia of the photos in the club house, l got talking to a lady in the club house and made me welcome, and explaining how the club got a extension to the original building, the views from there made the journey worthy and enjoyable. Thanks Upper Hopton all the best for the future

The shops are great but an absolute nightmare exiting this place in a car. Only one entrance/exit. Unless you don't mind sitting in a queue for at least an hour then avoid at all costs at busy times.

Lots of shops, good variety, a gym and food shops too. Parking however leaves a lot to be desired. If you can don't drive there, and especially at Christmas.

Decent retail park, it's very close to old Trafford so on match days it gets busy so don't visit if it's near kick off. Otherwise you'll spend more time in traffic than in the park. Also I suspect that all the business collude to suddenly mark all their toilets as out of order on match days as lots of fans congregate in the cafes. As costa is the only one with a functioning toilet, the queue is very long so bear this in mind.

So long as you continue to use Smart Parking and impose a maximum 3-hour stay with a £60-£100 fine for even a small overstay, you will continue to lose customers. I’m well aware that there is signage and it’s nobody’s fault but my own as I lost track of time but the car park was basically empty so a £60 fine is really heavy handed and has put me off shopping with you. I paid the fine and it’s “just one of those things” but by having this system you’re shooting yourself in the foot.

Good for a quick visit. Car park hard to navigate on foot, no clear footpaths, surprised there hasn’t been any accidents. Good selection of shops for bits. If you want furniture then definitely really good.

Good mix of stores for both furniture and food. Called into Marks and Spencer for a snack. Had no problems parking and exiting the park. There are a few options for picking up a coffee too with a Costa drive thru plus a Nandos for a more filling option.

A great little shopping area. Mostly furniture stores. My favourites are PC World for tech, Halfords for Bicycles & cycling stuff, Aldis and my fave Home Bargains where there are literally Bargains galore. There's a Costa Coffee where you can sit after a shop. Lots of parking spaces

White City Retail Park offers a convenient shopping experience with a diverse range of stores, including well-known brands and home improvement outlets. The ample parking space adds to the accessibility, and the layout is shopper-friendly. However, it's important to note that the park can get busy during peak times, affecting the ease of navigating through the various stores. Overall, it provides a decent retail option with a mix of offerings for different shopping needs.

Nice shops but impossible to leave the car park. Traffic lights are green for 30 seconds, too many people drive in but you get stuck when leaving and all lanes converge at the exit, regardless of which direction you're supposed to drive in. Stuck here for 45 minutes to get out. Not coming back.

An okay retail park for food shopping as it has a Iceland food warehouse, lidl, home bargains and a m&s. The rest of the shops are for home furnishings so no clothes or anything else. It does have a TheGymGroup gym which is good

Easy parking on Sunday afternoon. Quick and easy shop at Aldi and Halfords. Halfords seemed better staffed than the Altringham store. Aldi was busy but no long wait, really.

Love going here but I go for food and household shopping not the big furniture and electrical stores that are also here. White City has great transport links as buses literally drop you on the doorstep. I usually go at 8.30am because I'm a get in and get out type, even though car park might be busy at this time shops are lovely and calm, fantastic if you don't like crowds or have people who struggle with loud busy environments. Even at this time shops have always been well stocked but no massive queues at checkouts. I visit M&S, aldi, home bargains and iceland. All in one place, fantastic. Would point out what may be obvious to some, maybe when man united are playing traffic might be really bad!

A decent range of shops, with ample parking. My only quibble is that there's no cash machine anywhere on site.

  • 1/5 Melissa B. 10 months ago on Google
Visited Halfords. Service shocking. Customer assistant didn’t know his stuff and was overcharging me. Not enough staff to deal with a Saturday morning. Queue of people, with buyers walking away and putting their stuff back as the queue was taking too long.

Really great place for your grocery shop and oak furniture land is really good for house furniture the assistant manager Dean was so helpful and polite got everything I needed 5 star.

The Shops are nice but the Car Park is a absolute nightmare, getting out took almost 50 minutes on a Sunday, dread to think what it is on a Saturday. It’s horrendous and do not expect to get out of without having a mayor meltdown.

  • 5/5 Redeate K. 7 months ago on Google
Days when there is a game on it can be a ball ache to get out of the car park. Other than that, decent spot, has all the essentials stops, MnS and Aldi 😀

  • 4/5 Joseph G. 7 months ago on Google
Always parking spaces. Not the most choice in the world when it comes to retailers but if your doing a food shop / pottering about and don't want to bother with town or trafford this is ideal

Spent some time looking for furniture and sofas. Had a coffee in Costa and then picked up some bits from m&s. Apparently overstayed the 3 hour limit by half an hour and have been fined £100. Ridiculous! Didn’t see any signs specifying a 3 hour time limit, they should put signs up everywhere making this very clear if that is the case. I won’t be returning.

Word of warning. Don't come on Match Days it's right next to United stadium. You will be stuck in standstill traffic for 2 hours before and after the game starts. It is also extremely busy on Sundays. Getting in is fine but getting out impossible unless you get in early. Other then That very convenient got all the shops you need to do your shopping. With plenty of parking. 3 hours stay on normal days and 1 and a half on Matchdays. That includes the cricket since the LCCC is 5 mins away. Best to go on weekdays since it isn't busy but if you need to go weekends go as early as possible cus past 12 it get's very busy.

Will charge you £100 for staying over 3 hours (or 1.5 hours on a match day). If you want to shop around for furniture do it somewhere else

Lovely, clean, spacious, lots of parking spaces, restaurants, supermarket, furniture, car service(halfords), home items, diy stores. The only thing is it's next door to Manchester United match ground 😆

This is probably one of the best places in Manchester to buy furniture. We visited White City today when we were looking for a two seater recliner and there was five shops selling them. A large selection in fabric and leather, and at a whole range of prices to suit every budget.

Good retail park with a range of shops, M&S Food, ALDI, Currys/PC World, Nando's, Costa, Home Bargains, two gyms and some home furnishing stores but could do with a few more eateries.

  • 3/5 Karolina M. 1 year ago on Google
Everythings good, necessary shops nearby. Only minus of this place is a traffic. One way in and only one way out. If they could manage make another way out from this big carpark, this could avoid nmassive traffic at the exit of the carpark.

Retail park with many of the usual stores and a few not so common. Access good and plenty of parking. Lost one star for exit, traffic has very large ques to exit.

leaving the car park on busy days is a nightmare and unfortunately not very well thought out. A fair few decent shops but feel the space could be used better

Car park is horrendously designed, shops are good though. Would try and park near Curry's when it's busy or you'll be waiting in 40 minute queues trying to squeeze your way out. Traffic lights let out very few cars and it backs up the whole section around M&S/Home Bargains with no other way out and those near Curry's have the right of way. Also never attempt when a Manchester United match is on, absolute grid lock.

The retail park is excellent in itself lots of furniture places as well as food grocery shops. Given this 3 stars simply because driving in and out of this retail park is an absolute nightmare. Please allow another 45 mins simply to drive in and out. This place is crying out for another exit route.

Good selection of stores, not too far from home. Always has parking available but can become congested on trying to leave. Avoid peak hours where possible.

Good size Currys. Plenty of furniture shops 2 supermarkets and a few places to eat. Typical shopping centre, though oddly has a outdoor launderette facility.

  • 4/5 Sarah P. 1 year ago on Google
Tons of free parking. All the sofa companies you can imagine! An Aldi, Halfords, Currys, and several others. Handy place to visit. The huuuge Barnardo's charity shop is great 👍 There's even a launderette in the car park!

45 mins free parking then you pay just remember to get a ticket . Good shops good variety easy to find

It's what you would expect from Curry's, it's a decent size with a fair selection on offer. When I last visited I was disappointed to see that all of the more affordable TVs had been turned off and the signal disconnected so you couldn't effectively determine the quality. Coincidentally, the more expensive TVs were working fine. The picture is of just one isle but this was true for all the TV isles.

  • 3/5 Micah J. 10 months ago on Google
I don't really care for this place. There's 3 big expensive furniture shops, I don't need furniture. They have the gym group which is good, a Halfords, Aldi and home bargain. It's a quiet location, I only go there to get my bike fixed.
