dont go here!! We went in and it absolutely reeked in there of bad fish. We ordered anyway thought wed give it a shot because fish doesnt generally smell good anyway, but we made a big mistake. The fish was raw and soggy, when we came home my flatmates told me the smell is so bad that it has literally clung onto me. I had to take about 3 showers, light 4 candles and give myself chemical burn from all the deodorant and sprays to SOMEWHAT get the smell off me. I didnt end up eating the fish but my friend did and she got food poisoning. I literally never give reviews but this place was so bad im traumatised.

Ordered cheesy chips, they came cold with 2 lumps of cheese on either side of the chips and was not melted. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHIPPY!

Not only forgot part of the order, the chips were cold and wrinkled. I use this chippy quite often and usually ok. only posting this so people are aware.

Been going to this chippy on for years, but over the last three years, or so, my experience has been very disappointing for a number of reasons. For example, the fish and chips have, on many occasions, been dark, hard, over cooked and bitty due to, I expect, the use of small potatoes; the fish and chips portions are shrinking every time I call in and yes, as another reviewer said, one particular, more mature, member of staff uses the poly' tray trick to give you small portions.This member of staff always looks miserable and has a snotty attitude. I remember calling in and asking for a portion of chips and getting a snide comment about only buying chips; this was in front of other customers too. I'm not going there again. I'm writing this review as a consequence of actively looking for an alternative chippy.

Just got chicken meat and salad it was not nice got the chicken out of dish it' was over cooked not nice chips were cold poor very poor

Chips, gravy and peas and a large chips for over £10, shocking portions as the large chips came in a polystyrene tray and wasn’t enough to feed one let alone the two it was for! It also costs nothing for a smile, staff are always miserable!! Won’t be heading back any time soon!!

Only 2 stars because the food was actually OK despite half of the menu not available. Didn't like the attitude of the girls serving like they were doing me a favour by being there and bizarre that a meal deal means I can't have my peas seperste in a dish it has to be over my food so the pie was soggy.i understand they probs do this so you don't have as much however I'd be happy with smaller amount of peas then it being all over my dinner. Won't return again

Absolutely vile paid 3.70 for cheesy chips to be given cheese slice that goes on burgers for them then to be placed in the microwave to be heated up absolutely horrible gone right down hill

Best chippy in Timperley. Know how to make huge fish and crispy dry chips to perfection. Superb and never anything less. Bought at tea time cos we're up North.

I used to love Theos chip shop, but now they have stopped selling the Chinese dishes, I find it has changed significantly...

Fast, efficient service with good quality fish and properly cooked chips.

The best fish and chips , kebabs and Chinese (Friday Saturday only for Chinese) at the moment I've been going there for 3 years and it's the best in manchester by a long way. The Staff and service is excellent the value for money is great if you haven't tried your missing out its the only one I go to.

Food was a joke , chips all soggy and in a try and the woman who served me was a bit moody when I asked for a bag to put all my food in , as if she was gonner let me carry it all

Cooked my fish fresh, chips,perfect, lovely staff and polite all was super tasty, consistent as always! Well done 5 stars

Chicken barm not cooked properly, I felt the texture after a bite, it instantly made me feel sick, the excuse was only one part of the cooker was working, they didn't test the meat with a temp probe they were just taking chances discraful won't be supprised if they make some really ill or kill someone with their lack of cooking skills 🤮🤒

No even open on time!waiting for over 30 mins no sign on the door.someone came out and said it was too hot to open!

Decent chippy, curry sauce isnt the best and chips slightly rushed. But maybe a bad day, had better from there. Had better at other places also.

Best local chippy by a mile. Chips are the right balance of dry/greasy. Fish is great, I usually have the chicken breast with chips and the hot Chinese curry sauce

Tasty, tasty. I was recommended to try their salt and pepper chips when I was looking for this food when all Chinese takeaways were closed during Lockdown 1. Turned out I was asking at the right time: they had all just reopened! I’ve had S&PCs from many places but finally tried this place on Friday. I think I’m addicted to them again now! This place does either my second or first favourite version of them! I’ll have to keep trying them to see who wins the competition. I had them again last night and will have them again as soon as I can 😇

Just visited for first time.... And last... Chips undercooked.... Not crispy and pale looked raw.... Pudding was okay.... Despite asking twice for lots of salt and vinegar still had to add more when home... Threw it in bin so did partner... Waste of money

Food is fine but very over priced for what you get £1.90 for one scoop of chips the con of the polistiren tray... We won't be visiting again
