👍👍 Popped in today to ask about the free gait analysis being offered as part of Mental Health Awareness week… Charlotte offered to do it there and then, was incredibly knowledgable and very relational. Great customer service and now I know what my next pair of trainers will be! Highly recommended People often mention shoes, running, trainers, staff, shop, pair, service, helpful, knowledgeable, treadmill,

Please be aware of the prices in this shop I recently bought a pair of running shoes for £135 when I got home and did some research these shoes were £50 cheaper pretty much everywhere I looked. I felt unhappy about this so I rang the shop and they offered to price match if I proved they were cheaper elsewhere but after days of going back and too they then informed me they wouldn’t price match. Yes admittedly it’s my own fault for buying but I was expecting better customer service if I’m being honest and to go back on a promise doesn’t sit well. I told them they would lose my and my family’s custom and I’d leave a bad review but they simply weren’t bothered which is a shame but anyway!

When you consider the lottery of ordering on line, Altrincham Runner provides an excellent service where you can physically try the trainers to find the right set of trainers for your feet. Yes it may cost more, but you cannot replace the human experience with the lottery of the on line marketplace. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. We need independent businesses like the Altrincham Runner to give the customer more options in the real marketplace.

Kind, knowledgeable, young man assessed my running on the treadmill this morning, he was thorough and efficient, advising neutral trainers and helped me find the perfect pair, great service and price.

A local running shop, woo hoo! My first visit today, really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, treadmill to try out the shoes, loads of choice for road shoes, limited choice for trail shoes (but they haven't been open that long so hopefully that will improve), big selection of clothing and all sorts of accessories, mens and womens, sensible prices with quite a lot of stuff on sale with a good discount (went for shoes but I left with 2 tops and shorts too). Get down there and check it out, I hope we will see this business thrive.

I wish I could give 9 stars! Popped in with my nearly 2yo yesterday. They had a great selection of trainers, however being a bit of a novice I thought to myself there's no way I can justify them? Spoke to a lovely member of staff Paul, who asked me what size i was, i told him i was a 4.5/small 5 and that ill often get my shoes from childrens sections! When I told him about some of the things that can happen when I'm wearing my trainers he said they sound too small!! And that I'd be better with a bigger size. I nearly walked out. I tried on a few 5s and surprise surprise they were snug!! I tried a pair of 6s and they fit like a glove. Paul suggested I have a gait analysis, which I did and the results suggested I'd be best off with a shoe with more support. My toddler didn't like me being on the treadmil and got upset! another member of staff Pauline played with him and calmed him, she was great! I ended up buying a pair of "on cloud runners" in a 6. Tested them out this evening and OH MY HOLY MOLY!! they are THE most comfortable trainers/shoes I've ever worn in my life! My feet feel like they're in heaven. I feel faster?! Bouncier, lighter and like I have more GO!! They were initially out of my budget, but I'm so so happy I stretched that little bit further because they are worth every penny!!! Will definitely be returning to Altrincham Runner for brilliant service and great products. I've suggested my oh go and I'll be recommending them to everyone! Also invited to join their running club! Free and for people of all abilities. Normally not my thing but i think going to give it a go!

They asked the right questions, brought me lots of options to try on and try out on their treadmill. I eventually found a pair that made me smile after the 7th or eighth iteration and bought them. Happy with my purchase.

Popped in looking for trainers after getting no joy in some of the usual places of Altrincham. What a good decision. Apologies for not notting the name of the member of staff who served me but she was excellent. Attentive not intrusive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the product range. This is how you do it. Bravo.

Excellent little shop, just the kind of place I was looking for when I needed new running shoes. Could I have got them cheaper online? Maybe but then I would not have been able to try out multiple different shoes in various sizes on a treadmill before making a decision with the help of expert advice. Well worth the extra cost. Highly recommended

Sadly they do not do refund so when exchanging and got a sum of 50p left to spend they refuse to pop in charity box and the money goes to business. Will choose to buy elsewhere as a result when would love to support local businesses in the area. Such a shame and would like mgr to consider the impact of not having an option for small discrepancies like this. I was simply told this is my choice by the lady in the shop - I think feedback is a gift for management in this case rather than confrontational.

I have a problem with my Achilles tendon which and was just about to have physio. I have to wear insoles in my shoes too. Your assistant Adam was extremely helpful and following my treatment and purchasing new trainers from him I am now back running and have almost completed the Couch to 5K! Please pass on my thanks to Adam 😊

I came here today to get myself my first pair of running shoes for the 10k in May… and I had help from Paul who was literally so helpful. He explained all the aspects of running and what shoe would be best, he also suggested that I went on the treadmill to figure out what sort of runner I am which we figured was neutral! Paul did not push me to spend a lot of money, however I was very happy to go with the ON Cloudsurfers, even after trying on other inexpensive shoes. Thank you so much Paul! I would definitely recommend coming here whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular runner! I’ll hopefully remember to come back to write a review after the run in May. ☺️

Visited the store to buy new running trainers as I was experiencing foot pain. Charlotte and the team were truly amazing. They took time to try many different shoes but the best thing was the detailed knowledge of all the brands and the problem I had. Using gait analysis we found the right shoes. We were not rushed and they were so patient letting me try loads of pairs on the treadmill.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff! Had my gait checked (I hadn’t realised that was possible and was planning a trip to Manchester to a shop I know does it there) and then tried on lots of trainers and tested them on the running machine. I didn’t feel pressured to buy and the staff were very patient while I made my choice from lots of great options (it was hard to choose). Thanks to Paul for his help and knowledge. 🙋🏼‍♀️

I'd been having some problems with my new running trainers, so went here to go and discuss what might be happening. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They looked at the problems and made some really good suggestions, and let me try. Great customer service and worth a visit if your looking for experienced support with your running equipment.

I found this shop via Google initially looking for another running shoes shop. After poor experiences in big sports shops this place is an absolute breath of fresh air. The staff really know what they are talking about and know their stuff, they're not just trying to sell you a pair of running shoes unlike big chains - they actually advise etc. I came away with a set of Brooks Ghost 13's which are hands down the best set of running shoes I've ever owned (they even offered me cheaper models too to save cash, which in my book is really impressive). I highly recoomend this shop to anyone new to running or experienced.
