A horrible experience and one that has put us off staying in any b&b ever again. The smell that greeted us when we first opened the door to the apartment building was unpleasant and should have warned us as to what to expect from this establishment. The room offered wasn't ensuite. The only ensuite wasn't yet made up even though we had confirmed our arrival time and phoned ahead from the airport. The owner was only interested in collecting the cash and was late turning up. After touring the city we had a siesta and awoke to find the room populated by many mosquitoes (have killed over 30 so far) which left blood marks on the walls and sheets every time we managed to kill one. Following closer examination we realised we aren't the first to suffer from blood sucking insects as several red stained squashed remains can be found behind furniture and high up. The room is like the photos only a tired and dirty version. I could not recommend this b&b to anyone, however desperate they might be and would advise the owner and establishment are avoided like the plague. This is a shocking example of a place to stay and more suited to the Third World than an EU nation. You have been warned...

Il primo giorno siamo arrivati e c'era ancora lo sporco nel cestino di quelli prima di noi. Lenzuola mai cambiate in una settimana e le salviette abbiamo dovuto chiederle al proprietario perché più volte non ci sono state fornite e addirittura due volte erano sporche. Shampoo fornito solo il primo giorno.

Posto Stupendo!!... Simply amazing We spent 5 days in Il Sole Blu and it was just perfect from all angles. Place is amazing, room very clean bathroom totally massive. Place is very close to sea less than 2 minutes walk, near to high street with plenty of shops and traditional small sicilian coffee shops but still not noisy during a night :) also close to old town around 10 minutes of walk. Breakfast are served in small bar just 1 minute from hotel, serving coffe and pastry of your choice, Pastry was absolutely amazing !!! Host Ezio and his wife Stefania were very hospital and super friendly, offering coffee as little extra what just add a little personal touch :) Simply great place to stay, we have nothing else to say just that we spent absolutely fantastic time in Trapani with great hospitality of our host,we highly recommend this place if you visiting Trapani.
