To
Whom
It
May
Concern,
I
am
writing
to
share
my
unfortunate
experience
at
Athreya
Hospital
with
Dr.
Gayatri,
an
obstetrics/gynecologist.
Firstly,
the
doctor
did
not
inquire
about
my
medical
history
or
record
my
body
mass
index.
I
visited
her
during
my
first
trimester,
during
which
she
even
missed
the
major
tests
like
the
double
marker
and
TT
immunization.
Now,
regarding
the
hospital's
services,
they
were
equally
disappointing.
There
was
a
lack
of
awareness
regarding
the
doctors'
duty
schedules,
and
the
staff
displayed
a
lack
of
respect
for
patient
privacy.
Regrettably,
I
had
to
witness
staff
members
gossiping
about
patients
right
in
front
of
us.
On
October
9th,
I
had
an
appointment
with
Dr.
Gayatri.
Initially,
the
appointment
was
scheduled
for
1:30
PM.
However,
the
day
before
my
appointment,
I
received
a
call
informing
me
that
the
doctor's
timing
had
changed
to
2:30
PM,
with
a
reporting
time
of
2:15
PM.
As
a
result,
I
had
to
reschedule
my
ultrasound
appointment,
which
was
originally
set
for
1:30
PM.
On
the
day
of
my
appointment,
I
arrived
at
1:40
PM
due
to
traffic.
I
completed
my
registration
at
1:42
PM
and
inquired
if
the
doctor
was
available.
To
my
surprise,
I
hadn't
received
any
notice
of
the
change
in
appointment
time.
I
then
proceeded
to
the
second
floor
for
my
ultrasound.
On
the
second
floor,
I
handed
over
my
documents,
including
the
filled-out
ultrasound
pre-form,
to
a
female
intern
with
a
white
coat
and
a
black
scarf.
She
displayed
rudeness
and
questioned
why
giving
here
you
got
pre-form
from
them
right
?When
I
enquired
about
seeing
the
doctor
after
my
ultrasound,
she
simply
told
me
to
wait.
Moments
later,
I
saw
the
doctor
exiting
the
room
(at
2:09
PM)
and
was
concerned
that
I
hadn't
been
attended
to.
I
rushed
to
the
reception,
informing
them
that
I
had
been
charged
450
INR
and
was
waiting
to
see
the
doctor.
However,
the
staff
failed
to
act
promptly,
even
though
there
were
multiple
staff
members
present.
They
mentioned
that
the
doctor
was
on
her
way
to
the
parking
area.
I
stressed
the
urgency
of
my
situation,
as
I
had
travel
plans
and
required
a
certificate
and
medication.
The
hospital
staff
told
me
there
was
no
other
gynecologist
available
and
asked
me
to
wait.
I
eventually
had
my
ultrasound
and
sought
to
file
a
complaint
with
the
Patient
Relations
Officer
(PRO)
.During
this
time,
Inchatge
Ms
.Jiji
conveyed
to
me
that
the
doctor
had
to
perform
a
C-section
for
another
patient
in
a
different
hospital,
so
she
left
.
Then
I
overheard
she
asking
to
reception
who
said
Dctr
no
patients
.The
staff,
including
Mrs.
JiJi,
handled
the
situation
unprofessionally
and
without
due
respect
for
my
emergency
situation.
I
was
asked
to
wait
for
the
PRO-
Mr
Abhijit,who
eventually
met
with
me
but
offered
no
solution
to
my
problem.
He
mentioned
the
need
to
hear
both
sides
and
suggested
that
I
file
a
written
complaint.
I
inquired
about
meeting
with
an
administrator
responsible
for
addressing
such
issues.
After
a
wait,
the
operational
manager
arrived,
listened
to
my
concerns,
but
again,
no
solution
was
provided.
I
implore
the
hospital's
management
to
improve
its
services
for
a
better
patient
experience
and
to
treat
all
patients
with
dignity,
without
discrimination.
Additionally,
ensure
the
availability
of
quality
doctors
for
better
care.
My
experience
at
Athreya
Hospital
was
deeply
regrettable,
and
I
hope
the
hospital
can
maintain
professionalism
in
all
aspects
of
its
operations,
as
I
have
only
witnessed
this
in
their
security
personnel,
who
performed
excellently.
Sincerely,
RAHMATH
