Exceptional Hospital staffed with experienced Doctors and Nursing staff in addition to state of the art facilities. I had to rush my 7 year old Autistic child to the hospital at 2AM as he was in pain, the first hospital we went to, we were kept waiting for 15 minutes before the Doctor arrived - the Doctor was reluctant to treat my child and couldn't offer a diagnosis and the nursing staff were no help at all. We decided to take him over to Atreya Hospital by 4AM. We were immediately put at ease by the warmth of the on duty nursing staff and the Doctor who arrived when called was a professional who quickly diagnosed my Child and wasted no time in taking a call and treating him. It is not enough to have the state of the art equipment/facilities if the Doctors and staff do not have the heart to serve. At Atreya Hospital we found both.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to share my unfortunate experience at Athreya Hospital with Dr. Gayatri, an obstetrics/gynecologist. Firstly, the doctor did not inquire about my medical history or record my body mass index. I visited her during my first trimester, during which she even missed the major tests like the double marker and TT immunization. Now, regarding the hospital's services, they were equally disappointing. There was a lack of awareness regarding the doctors' duty schedules, and the staff displayed a lack of respect for patient privacy. Regrettably, I had to witness staff members gossiping about patients right in front of us. On October 9th, I had an appointment with Dr. Gayatri. Initially, the appointment was scheduled for 1:30 PM. However, the day before my appointment, I received a call informing me that the doctor's timing had changed to 2:30 PM, with a reporting time of 2:15 PM. As a result, I had to reschedule my ultrasound appointment, which was originally set for 1:30 PM. On the day of my appointment, I arrived at 1:40 PM due to traffic. I completed my registration at 1:42 PM and inquired if the doctor was available. To my surprise, I hadn't received any notice of the change in appointment time. I then proceeded to the second floor for my ultrasound. On the second floor, I handed over my documents, including the filled-out ultrasound pre-form, to a female intern with a white coat and a black scarf. She displayed rudeness and questioned why giving here you got pre-form from them right ?When I enquired about seeing the doctor after my ultrasound, she simply told me to wait. Moments later, I saw the doctor exiting the room (at 2:09 PM) and was concerned that I hadn't been attended to. I rushed to the reception, informing them that I had been charged 450 INR and was waiting to see the doctor. However, the staff failed to act promptly, even though there were multiple staff members present. They mentioned that the doctor was on her way to the parking area. I stressed the urgency of my situation, as I had travel plans and required a certificate and medication. The hospital staff told me there was no other gynecologist available and asked me to wait. I eventually had my ultrasound and sought to file a complaint with the Patient Relations Officer (PRO) .During this time, Inchatge Ms .Jiji conveyed to me that the doctor had to perform a C-section for another patient in a different hospital, so she left . Then I overheard she asking to reception who said Dctr no patients .The staff, including Mrs. JiJi, handled the situation unprofessionally and without due respect for my emergency situation. I was asked to wait for the PRO- Mr Abhijit, who eventually met with me but offered no solution to my problem. He mentioned the need to hear both sides and suggested that I file a written complaint. I inquired about meeting with an administrator responsible for addressing such issues. After a wait, the operational manager arrived, listened to my concerns, but again, no solution was provided. I implore the hospital's management to improve its services for a better patient experience and to treat all patients with dignity, without discrimination. Additionally, ensure the availability of quality doctors for better care. My experience at Athreya Hospital was deeply regrettable, and I hope the hospital can maintain professionalism in all aspects of its operations, as I have only witnessed this in their security personnel, who performed excellently. Sincerely, RAHMATH ---

I went to the hospital for MRI with prior booking at 3pm. I had come early for the same due to pain in was not able to do MRI. I reached hospital at 2.45pm by having painkiller medicine which was prior to time. they requested to wait for 2 hours. We waited for 3hours and enquired for same they replied with in half an hour we will do so I had again painkiller but still till 8.30 no response from hospital or management as my bystander raised complaint in regard to this. I was gone through harrasment made by the MRI team and waited around 10pm and they said some excuse and didn't done MRI as the made me last patient. This attitude was mention to authority of hospital no one of there to attend in functioning hospital. Forward to IMA and Health Divisions

I had recently done total knee replacement on my right knee in Atreya Hospital, Thrissur. This is one of the best patient friendly hospital i have visited. It was very clean and neat. It had a very serene ambience and we never felt like we were in a hospital. Not only it had all state of the art facilities, all the Doctors and nursing and other staff were exceptional. They were very helpful, always with a smile on their face, ready to respond to any doubts we had. We just had to ask something and immediately it was done. Special thanks to my doctors- Dr. Krishnakumar, Dr. Atheesh Ninan and Dr. Varghese. Not only they explained the procedures very well but put me at ease during the surgery. Only problem was the cafeteria. But we could order from outside so that did not make issues for us. Even after returning back home to Chennai, I am in touch with them through WhatsApp in case of any doubts or questions. Hats off to all the people of Atreya Hospital. Keep it up!!!

They were not at all serious with the patient. They were treating the patient with general doctors & consultants, where he should have got expert doctor’s or specialist care for such critical cases. I know I am not going to get my dad back but still I am writing this review after 2.5 months so that few of us get to know how this hospital treats & care for the patients. May be my review will help some or the other people in any way, which will help them to avoid the mistakes I did. For sure, I will never ever visit or recommend β€œATREYA HOSPITAL” to any one in my life. Regards, CA Sooraj

It was purely a negative vibe we got from the security personnel's rough and bossy nature on our first visit to take an X-ray. Also some reception staff in the front office were not at all customer friendly or pleasant. Though one lady staff in the left front office was helpful in directing us, overall experience was repulsive. The X ray technician gave direction to hold breath but never asked to release the same. No communication was there when the process was finished too. Such an experience was suffocating to a patient who underwent two craniotomy recently. Hence never to this place again. (Invoice No.017946 dated 23.11.2022 05:48:28PM. Past cannot be effaced. But you can improve the future if you wish. And no need of us if you genuinely wish so... This is in reply to your response)

Today I visited Atreya Hospital for RTPCR test and really had a worst experience from the hospital. We contacted them earlier today to know about the timings/formalities and reached the hospital on time. After a long wait, the reception staff requested for Aadhar card. I have provided soft copy but she insisted for hard copy to perform the test. We checked for printer shops nearby and none of them were open because it is Sunday. I checked with the staff again whether they can take hard copy from there. It's surprising to know that hospital doesn't have such facility during an emergency. The whole evening wasted in the hospital without doing test and travelling unnecessarily. I have tested few times earlier in 2 different hospitals where the whole process was really smooth. This time we considered Atreya only because it's quite near from my home compared to the other hospitals. I'm the one who's showing covid symptoms from last 2 days and worrying about my 3 month old baby. I will make sure not to visit this hospital in future.

I will never ever visit or recommend β€œATREYA HOSPITAL” to any one in my life. This hospital authorities should feel some shame when treating critical patients. If no expert doctors are available, then they should at least show some courtesy to inform them to shift to better hospitals. Business or Cash should not be the prime important factor for any hospital. Life is much more precious than anything else.

Very good service and cost. Last year my father had a stroke and got admitted here in emergency. The service of staffs are really good, they took care of my father as their own father, all staffs from nurses to cleaning have very good attitude and service. The final bill for 8 days room including 5 days ICU, food, medicines was reasonable and not at all costly, also considering the service. After more than 1 year we visited again for review and the nurses still recognized him and asked him how he is doing. Only drawback is that there is no much defined canteen, there one small stall where we can get tea, coffee, snacks and lunch during lunch time, but options are less. Anyways food is provided to in patient and by stander, for out Patient I think they need some tea or coffee. So that small stall as canteen is also fine.

Since the beginning my wife and I had a super VIP treatment from all staff from Atreya that worked with us during our visit from November 28 to December 3, 2022. In particular, we have to appreciate the special treatment from Roshna for taking care of all details and accompanying us during our stay. We have also to express our special gratitude and stress the high quality standards of the services from the doctors that saw us, including all the nurses, service facilities, the administration, and the driver. Finally, we are grateful to Dr. Ramkumar Menon and his wife for the open arms they received us, their professionalism and for the excelent quality service of Atreya Hospital in Thrissur. We wish you all the best. Mariamo and Jose

We had a very bad experience in this hospital. Unfriendly and rude staff, pathetic room was given to patient and treated badly. At-least they should understand they are care-givers. I was reading through the previous reviews and see the management responses in a very defensive mode blaming back the person who wrote those feedbacks. Thats very unfortunate, they should understand if majority of the people are complaining, they should investigate and fix the underlying problem rather than pointing it back. I hope they fix their problems reading these reviews soon than learning it in a hard way.

We had a very good experience with Atreya Hospital. Very clean and well maintained. Took excellent care when my mother was admitted for a surgery. Doctors were all very good. Communication was easy with the staff and the doctors. Excellent staff. Ms. Sujatha was particularly good with coordination. Were very efficient with the insurance claim as well. The only drawback is the absence of a good cafeteria. But you can order a wide choice of food through Swiggy or Zomato.

Visited there couple of.times, so this is my experience so far. Initially token system for consultation was proper but now there is no systematic appointment system or anything. If you call they just ask you to come saying there won't be any rush and when you reach there you end up waiting for hours together. Looks like doctors are not experienced. Consulting doctors are experienced. Attitude of reception people in the skin doctor floor is too much. Enthinaanee jaada? Good things: very neat and no typical hospital smell.

Well maintained hospital premise. Expert Doctors and medical professional service. Great location and ambiance. Service support team quality and proficiency of service should be improved. Taking too much of time in billing counter. They are not thoroughly going through the lab test prescription the Doctor has given. Felt the level of competency in dealing with customer is little lacking. This can be improved. My overall experience was good.

I visited the ENT specialist (senior doctor)here recently. I have no words to say. He made me do a test and an MRI without proper examination. By the way if you plan to visit here, be ready for an MRI scan because every patient had an MRI scan with them.. Coming back to my issue , inspite getting the tests done, the doctor couldn't give me a valid reason for my symptoms and health issues I was facing. And prescribed vitamin tablets and told me to come again. I would say if you want answers to your health issues,do go somewhere else. Here it's just unnecessary tests and scans. A fancy hospital. The reception staff was so bossy and not friendly. And another doctor diagnosed my health issue without any sort of expensive tests or scans.-(from another Hospital).

Good Hospital. Dr.Ramkumar Menon did a wonderful job with my mom's surgery, his statement that "it is the patients confidence and the doctors competence which bring great results will stay with me for ever. The care from the staff was good , they have a small little canteen with good simple food. I would highly recommend this hospital.

Our experience in the hospital has been very refreshing . Our patient had complaints of low back ache with pain in the legs. We had met the neurosurgeon and spine surgeon Dr Ramkumar in 2022 and he had advised surgery at the outset. We were hesitant and scared. However we visited him following this on multiple occasions Finally when the pain became unbearable we decided to go ahead. He explained the procedure in detail, the need for microscopic surgery and the safety of the surgery as they said they use intraoperative guidance and nerve monitoring. He recovered very well and is now pain free. He walks very well and has resumed his activities. We thank the nursing team for the excellent care. Overall care has been very good and the team has a very positive approach and outlook.

My husband had to undergo third molar extraction due to some complications. After consulting with Dr Neeraja and Dr Nitin for the same, they suggested a surgical extraction under general anaesthesia as 4 teeth could be removed in one go. The local anaesthetic method would have required multiple visits and would have been more painful. The surgery and the recovery process required only two days of admission and a week of rest. Both doctors were very good both with explaining the situation and the surgery as well which is why the recovery was this fast. Overall a great result considering the circumstances.

I never recommend this hospital for anyone. Last year on June 29th 2022 my father got sick( bleeding from nose and mouth)and we took him to atreya hospital. The Dr said after consulting the bleeding happens just because of my father anxiety well in between that hospital did all the test like scan, MRI, blood test all damn procedure. After getting the result the concern Dr said there is some growth near to his ears so that might required surgery to remove the same. and also they said there is a lump next to the growth and they suggested for a deep needle test since they doubt that is cancerous. Mean while my father started getting vomiting even if he drink water. So when we took him to the hospital again they said some blunders and gave some medicines to stop vomiting. Btw the Dr said the oncologist is on leave and asked us to wait till 5th of July to review the deep needle test report. So we again took him back home but then he was not in a good condition.(since they asked to come back to hospital on 6th). My father condition was getting worsen day by day and when we called the Dr he suggested some medicines (drips)and that should be given from any near by hospital. Since the hospital was not providing proper treatment we took him to Amrita hospital ekm. In Amrita hospital they find his sodium level went completely down because of his vomiting.(Athreya did not do the sodium level test). And the hospital started treating for him sodium level. And to level his sodium it took more than 10days for him. Even after complaining about his health issue the hospital failed to do proper test for the patient. They said my dad was worried about his sickness and since anxiety leave was high he is vomiting. Unfortunately my dad left us on 26th July22. I was trying to reply back but I didn't find an option to reply hence writing down here. There is nothing required to get checked since the person is no more. Whatever you check u will not blame your self.

Good doctors, polite and friendly staff. A little expensive perhaps compared to other hospitals(not sure about this, never did any cross checking). Not all insurance companies have cashless facility yet which is an inconvenience. I had my father and my son treated here and happy so far.

Am Dubai based Engineer, I travelled from UAE to this hospital in Thrissur for treatment. I had a very good overall experience with this hospital, every staff there is good and helpful during my course of treatment especially my Dr Krishnakumar Mechoor and Dr Vijayan Nair. They are Doctors with difference. Am satisfied with the 2 surgeries I did in the hospital, the treatment outcome worth my travel and entire resources (energy, time&money) I spend. Am recommending this hospital for any body who is willing to travel for medical treatment. Thanks 4 Everything.

Worst experience and response. The result of the Pap smear sample collected on 26th of October was responded with a result only on 12th November after personally visiting the hospital. In the world of emails and Whatsup if the hospital authorities fail to respond, it gives a bad picture about the service offered. It’s time the authorities take control of the events as this will hamper the recognition of the hospital.
