Excellent food and worth for money. Don't miss the red chutney in breakfast. Poori and masala is just an average. But dosa, pongal especially sambar, chutneys are awesome👍👏😊. The space and waiting time is the only concern. Just near the raja gopuram sri rangam temple.

An acquaintance from Trichy has recommended this place to visit for sure. I was here in the early hours of evening so tired Vada with Filter coffee. The vada was sooo good. One of the best one’s I’ve had. And not so oily too. The coffee was perfect 👍🏼 This place has an old town restaurant feel. It’s old yet maintained well. It was very neat and clean. I would def recommend to eat here.

One of the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Srirangam. Food served here is really good. I had visited here several times. Charges are also responsible. Taste and food quality is very good. Food items are served in plantain leafs, thats make the food more tasty. Coffee that is served here is just awesome. People who reached Srirangam can try food from here... Really nice 😊

After Darshan, we came here for breakfast. I would say the Pongal had a unique taste. It’s like the temple Pongal and the taste was too good. One Pongal will easily serve 2 people. Vada and sambar tasted too good. Dosai is the best dish to try. Ghee roast and rava roast is a must try. Ordered coffee and the aroma was too good. Coffee lovers don’t miss it. Don’t expect much on ambiance it’s a decent place to have food. Service was too good. Overall a good place to have breakfast in this area.

Delighted to be here at the very old traditional style hotel in Srirangam. My top pick from their Menu is PONGAL. The texture of pongal served with coconut chutney is too delicious. Always end breakfast with their traditional coffee.

Authentic and classic veg hotel by taste, by looks, by atmosphere. I like to have the morning breakfast in restaurants like these. It instantly brings us our old memories. (4 members had breakfast)Foods were tasty. Had 2 poori sets, 4 idly, 1 ven pongal, 2 vada, 1 sambar vada, 1 labba(all in 1 mix of Podi Dosa, Ghee Roast and Masala Dosa) and 1 coffee. That Dosa was fantastic in taste. Definitely, everyone must try once. I loved the coffee. Our bill was 320. Highly recommended restaurant.

Mani's Cafe is Been Running Since 1982 in Srirangam Near Ranganathaswamy Temple serving delicious breakfast items for the past 30 Years. Tried Their Crispy Ghee Roast and Poori Both Tasted Good. The prices were reasonable. Try it for a good south Indian breakfast in Srirangam.

The tiffin they provide is very tasty. They have very traditional South Indian tiffin items. All taste very good. I am not the coffee lover but I liked their coffee very much. Tried porota with kuruma, dosa, pori, etc everything was marvelous. The cost is very nominal. But the seating arrangement is as old as it comes. Don’t expect high end tables but it’s worth it. If you travel by car. It’s better park your car in the temple parking area and take a auto to reach the place.

One word to say: Please do visit for authentic vegetarian food. Loved almost everything, special mention and my personal award goes to Pongal, Vada and Ghee Podi Dosa. Man you can skip their coconut chutney. It goes very well with every dish. Sambar looks ok but tasted so well. Those who visit SriRangam, pls do stop for breakfast. Their service person will suggest how to order, choose it. Forgot his name but he made our breakfast heavenly. Many thanks 🙏👍

Be sure to be patient. The sign outside stresses their slow food, though it's pretty fast. And be sure to check out their Ayurvedic cuisine - herbal dosais never tasted so good! Serves the chilli- fired coriander chutney which seems to be a town standard.

A non-descript place, fantastic food on the banana leaf. No paper bills. Bill comes written on a slate and then erased. For themselves maintained in a register. If in Srirangam you should eat at this place. Very economical and superb filter coffee too. Rs.60 and you are done with a meal.

Mani's cafe is over of the best cafe to visit in srirangam. We visited for breakfast, evening snacks and dinner. We tasted the following, Plain rava dosa Onion rava dosa Sambar idly Idly Poori masal Pongal and medhu vada Podi dosa Filter coffee Akkaravadisal Kara paniyaraam Rava lapa dosa Parota and white kuruma Rava dosa is definitely a must try dish, dosa was crispy and the texture is perfect. Must try dishes: Rava dosa Pongal Vada Podi dosa Rava lapa dosa Filter coffee The way the calculate bill is in slate which they are following till now, it's still having the traditional method. They have small seating capacity and there is no parking facilities, so plan accordingly to visit this cafe

Clean and neat place with good service, food was good. Price were also affordable. I think capacity is only 15 to 20 so getting parcel would be good if we need it for more people.

No good service/ Worst . When compared to the other restaurants nearby. Bcos of this no local people come here. Only tourist who visits gets trapped because of its location and hoarding which is prominent.

It is a hole in the wall place near Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple where locals eat. We had an amazing experience and loved the food, staff, hospitality and the vibe. We had dinner here but loved it so much that we ended up coming for breakfast again. Ana in the picture was very friendly, welcoming and recommended us specials. Everything was very flavorful, fresh , and chutneys were amazing but on the spicier side. We had ghee roast, onion uttapam, Pongal, masala dosa, filter coffee and can recommend all.

Okay place. The food was good, the waiter was supportive. The staff at the counter could be a little more pleasant to customers. While it’s got ample seating area, it requires a little more upkeep & maintenance.

Good old restaurant. Morning coffee and Dinner we tried, food was excellent. The restaurant is unique in taking your orders in Slate which we used in Old school days :D; And the same way the bill is shown using Slate. The price was way better than the food offered.

Very small and old restaurant with traditional menu, looks and settings. Run by second generation I am guessing. Recommended If you don't care for cozy interior, ergonomic seating, ambient lighting and are okay with awesome food served in banana leaf on a table and wooden chair or bench to sit 😁🤪

  • 5/5 Kaliraj K. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice tasty. Must try gingerly oil podi dosa it is ultimate and other breakfast dishes also very nice. Traditionally Iyer hotel. One drawback is very congested place but taste is really awesome.

  • 3/5 Kaarthik Babu A. 2 years ago on Google
Location is prime for temple devotees. Pricing Ok for this category hotel. Little bit taste improvement needed, we tried dosa and poori. They need to improve the taste. I hope they will maintain traditional taste to sustain the returning customers.

The place, although quite small, is very vibrant. There''s a ton of activity going on all over the place. The tables are super small, but that adds up to the experience I guess. Food is decent. Rates nominal. Worth a visit.

A reasonably priced South Indian breakfast eatery at Srirangam. The food is served in a Banana leaf (like most places in Srirangam) and they don’t offer paper receipts for the food. Ate Idli-vada with coconut chutney and Sambar and it was good. They expect you to remove the banana leaf and trash it after you are done eating. This could be tricky if you are not used to banana leaves. But, I loved it. The hand wash area could be cleaner. But, will go there again for breakfast.

I didn't feel ok. It inside the temple co.plex but service and food quality are unwitting for such an Important location. Owner should develop some service mind and thankfully behave for God giving him opportunity to make money.

  • 3/5 Sowndarya R. 1 year ago on Google
Food: 4 stars We could see only 1 cook, 1 server, 1 helper, so order gets delayed. Our experience: We went on a weekend. As this hotel is just outside the temple, we went into it to have a breakfast. It was not much crowded, yet the order was soo delay. They even took nearly 10 minutes to take our order. And here you can't order whatever you want, you just have to order from 2 - 3 items which is available. It's because there was only one cook who prepare puri, idly, and roast. Pongal, sambar, chutney, vada and potato masalas were there in stock. Food was good. But we waited so badly. There were only 1 person who serves, take bills and 1 person clean the table for next customer. We really had half stomach and came out as we had other plans for the day. Note: I recommend to come out and you can see some other hotels where there are not much people.

Vegetarian hotel located on the way leading to srirangam temple. Ordered Idly. Taste was ok. It's neither too good not too bad. 1 idly cost was 10-/ rs. Price wise i feel its ok. Waiter was supportive. Its like a halt and go visit if you come to srirangam temple. Scope for improvement on hotel Cleanliness and maintenance. Wash area was a little bit awkward.
