Scandic Århus

We stayed as a family of four in a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed for the kids. The rooms look kind of run down more like a hostel than a hotel, there is no air condition available. Bathroom only had a shower with a plastic curtain. During our stay the restaurant was closed and only open for breakfast. Breakfast itself was quite good, only the breads were hard as rocks and barely edible. It's ok for a night or two, parking in front of the hotel is free. Staff was very friendly.

The bathroom was a little filthy. And the cleaners forgot something from the previous guests. But a big and nice room. Very polite and profesional man in the reseption.

While the service was excellent both at the reception and in the restaurant, dinner was a complete disappointment. The salmon was bland and forgettable. The veggie burger, however, was simply awful - the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted like deep-fried mashed potatoes, dripping with grease and almost inedible. The French fries were no better. After a few bites I refused to eat more. Despite this terrible meal I was still charged the full price. Absolutely not recommended. If there was an option to rate just the restaurant, I would give max 2 stars.
