I got this Wonderful seafood U Bay restaurant searching by Google.. Reasonable price..and Fresh quality Lobster with fried Rice and Salad delicious.. I have been to the place which is close to the beach access. The restaurant is most famous for seafood, We had a seafood platter which we can share for two, A variety of seafood was available. Highly recommended to those who love seafood. Lovely staff and a good environment to relax. Thank you

I am really surprised by the good reviews for this restaurant. The kotthu was basically raw, the calamari's consistancy was horrible. This poor animal had to die to be cooked in such a horrible WAY. I can't recommend this place at all. The only good thing is that the restaurant looks nice, but be aware IT'S A TRAP!!

Cute little restaurant serving a wide range of dishes, mostly tailored to international tourists. The food was actually very tasty, and others in my family would give this place 5*. My experience- my dish took over an hour to arrive, and when it did, I can't be sure that the crab which I was craving for, was fresh. (My allergies told me so). But still, all was tasty & service although sparce, was ok.

This was the worst food I've eaten in Sri Lanka. The roti in the kotthu was raw, the calamari were too hard and the sandwich was basically just bread. The water was ok at least. The service was also bad and I didn't feel comfortable at all in this restaurant. In Trincomalee there are a lot of nice restaurants and I wouldn't waste even 1 rupee here.

Paul the owner is one of these guys i won't forget after my time in Sri Lanka. Food and accomodation was always perfect. Stayed here for multiple times, because i really enjoyed the conversations with him. You can ask him everything and he will always help you. Rent a Bike, bicycle or do the laundry. Even as i got sick with dengue fever, Paul managed everything for me at the hospital. Can't recommend this place enough !!!

Excellent dinner for both adults and kids. The rice and noodles were better than what we’ve been eating so far in Sri Lanka and the seafood curry was really unique and delicious! We will be coming back.

Delicious food, nice location, good service. Price for a meal around 3€ beside of grilled fish, lobster so on...this is around 6€. If you look western they wont serve it very spicy. So if you want it spicy just tell them.

excellent people. they went out of their way to bring in lagoon crabs from far and cooked it deliciously. The crab curry was cooked to perfection. very reasonable price too.

Packed every time we walked past, we went here for our last night in Uppuveli. Despite only being open for 3 months when we went, this is a stellar restaurant: friendly owner, relatively quick service, delicious food. We both had seafood dishes: prawn curry and fish curry - spicy, tasty, moreish, so very good. Highly recommended.

We had breakfast and dinner at Ubay for 3 days in a row. Different dishes all very tasty and for a more than reasonable price. Also a very friendly host. Try the prawns and chicken curry and you know what we mean!!!

We were only in the restaurant: really good food. It's a hidden gem. Not directly on the beach, which makes it more special. The owner is very kind and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. The only minus point is they don't have a food chair, but he got a cushion to position our daughter higher. I really recommend it !

Great place to eat. Very kind and helpful staff and owner. The taste and the presentation of the tuna steak with delicious garlic sauce was amazing. The french fries (added with salad on the plate) were the best we had till so far in Sri Lanka.

So good and with big portions. Prices are very fair too.
