I recently had an overnight stay at JKAB Beach Resort and would like to provide my honest feedback. While the hotel had some positive aspects, there were also areas that need improvement. Starting with the positives, the hotel's proximity to the sea was a definite highlight, offering beautiful views. The pool was also enjoyable, especially for families with children. However, I did notice the presence of dead insects at the pool, which was a disappointment. On the plus side, the overall cleanliness of the hotel and the room I stayed in were satisfactory. The staff ensured a clean and tidy environment, which was appreciated. However, there were a few drawbacks. One major concern was the absence of a safe in the room. In-room safes provide a sense of security and are an important amenity for guests, so its absence was a letdown. Furthermore, the bathrooms could use some improvements. Upgrading fixtures and enhancing cleanliness would greatly enhance the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Lastly, while the food at the hotel was acceptable, it fell short of expectations. There is room for improvement in terms of variety and quality to elevate the dining experience. In summary, JKAB Beach Resort has its strengths, including its location near the sea, a pleasant pool (despite the presence of dead insects), and overall cleanliness. However, the absence of a safe, the need for better bathrooms, and opportunities for improvement in the food offerings are areas that should be addressed for a better guest experience. I've been here 2 years before. That time room was perfect and comfortable. foods were delicious. Many selections were there in their buffet. But this time room was not that much comfortable and peaceful than before. Even no any phone line in the room to contact hotel points. Staff was not friendly enough. Foods weren't delicious and no much selections in the buffet. It was a waste of the money this time. Not recommended unless they sort out these weak points.

We spent 3 nights with my family. We were given a free upgrade as our planned rooms had some issues. The pool, beach view were amazing. My kids enjoyed the pool a lot. It has a baby pool on one side and maximum depth was around 5.5 feet on the other side.

The location is nice and beautiful. In the evening it is a great experience to have dinner outside. In the evening you can see fishermen pulling their large fishing nets on the beach which is quite a scene. However the food wasn't that great according to me. Here I tried many food options such as devilled chicken, fried fish, french fries, hot butter cuttlefish, hot butter prawns, chopsuey, chicken fried rice, noodles, Watalappam etc. However I cannot say the food is delicious. Hot butter cuttlefish is one of my favorites but here, cuttlefish wasn't that great. It had some awkward taste with too much flour wrapped around. And also there is no buffet option available. The ambience and environment was all good. The staff was attentive. It wasn't that crowded or empty. More than enough space for everyone to enjoy. My only negative point is food. It is not bad but it wasn't up to the standard as it seems. Parking and every other average amenities are all provided.

Very nice location and very helpful and friendly staff. Pool and rest of hotel outside is maintained very well. Good Sri Lankan breakfast buffet although it would be nice to have some more fruits and juices. Rooms are nice with good facilities but bathroom could do with a bit more maintenance. However cannot fault for the price when compared with other hotels in the area. Would return again.

Wonderful stay at the hotel.. this was our fist travel experience to a long distance hotel and it was worth every penny that we spent.. the hotel was in a superb location, food was amazing and the beach was so beautiful thank you MR Adhil

Spent three days at the hotel. Do have mixed feelings about the place, both positive and negative. Location is close to the town but calm location adjoining the beach. Lots of space and area to spend. Restaurant staff is great, they do everything to make our stay comfortable. Food is average selection but tasty. Stayed in a cabin room but the bathroom is bit smelly. Also they do not provide shampoo which is a basic essential. They dis not provide water bottles on second and third days. Also no refills in tea and coffee packets. I hope they can do some action for these negative points and make place better.

We with my family spent one night in this hotel. Really, it was a amazing night. Environment is very clean and beautiful. Specially I enjoyed the beach just near your location. I was gazing at the beach many hours in the night. It’s very calm on the sound of waves. Service rendered by the staff was satisfied. They were kind and attended the urgent matters at their level best. Foods were nutritious and tasty. There was a good diversity of foods. Definitely, I can recommend this location for a secured relaxing touring location.

The room was good however we didn't get great sleep. At 6am there was a wedding photoshoot on our balcony, their flash lit up our room and woke us up. Other guests were very noisy late at night and early in the morning. Breakfast was OK, beach was OK but dominated by the fisherman outside

The hotel is quite nice with large grass yard and charming swimming pool. There are several types of rooms and all are good, well furnished, clean and most of them- spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is bufet breakfast included in the price which offers eggs, local dishes, fruits, juice, tea and coffee. We had fish for dinner in the restaurant. It was OK but not impressive. The biggest disappointment in the hotel in my opinion is the beach. There are no sun beds, no umbrellas or any kind of shelter to use. Just a sandy beach full of fishermen's boats. The fishermen are lying and sitting on the beach staring at tourists with more than curiosity which doesn't help you feel relaxed. So the only option is to stay at the pool which is not so big.

Nice hotel, friendly staff delivering what can be expected. The place is a bit worn out through the years. Location is on the beach but one needs a tuk tuk or taxi to drive to the city center which makes the hotel a bit remote. Breakfast is very good and lunches are good a long as you order local food.

Loved our stay here. The hotel was very clean, spacious and beautiful Room. Fabulous breakfast and Loved the view from the sea view suite. The staff were welcoming, friendly and super helpful. Overall a very good and happy experience. Highly recommended.

When we were looking for hotel's close to the beach to spend our holidays, we found this very beautiful hotel with the environment we wanted. Here we found delicious food, hospitality and friendly staff which made us very happy.

A good beach resort (3 star) with ambient facilities. We would recommend the pool view rooms as it something with scenic and peaceful. We were alone in the hotel, during the 2 day stay so it was like a memorable private getaway. The rooms are clean, bit limited space i would say. Washrooms and pool side areas need some more appealing,maintenance and improvement though. Not forgetting to mention the beauty of the big pool and areas around the beach. Regarding food, there was no much variety due to low guest turnover. String hopper, pittu, and few side dishes were fine. Taste was good and service. Also kitchen closes 9:30 pm which is a minus considering no other options nearby. Pool side bar was closed during our stay. The town is close-by 5 min by car, calm beach, can see local fishing too. the location is super for a holiday with family.

Clean room but very limited space. They can improve lot of small things. I think govt / authorities should support the hotels to improve their service and get more business. If they can improve the food, cafeteria, service. Its a great place

A prominent highlight is the room that we occupied, which was adequately spacious to accommodate a family of four. The view of the pool from the room added a soothing visual touch. However, a word of caution for fellow travelers: if you're accustomed to a specific pillow thickness, the resort's might be an issue. In my case, the thicker pillows were unsuitable, leading to a minor inconvenience, though my wife found them quite comfortable. Dining: The breakfast service at the resort is worth noting. There's a diverse menu catering to varied taste buds, from spicy delicacies to sweet delights. A personal recommendation would be the pol sombol and string hoppers, while my children particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs, toast, and jam. Moreover, the fresh fruit selection offers a refreshing start to the day. Amenities: The pool facility deserves a special mention. It's bifurcated into a kiddie pool and a deeper section for adults, making it suitable for families. However, there's room for improvement here. I observed some maintenance issues, notably the broken tiles. The poolside bar, though functional, seems to operate mainly on weekends, possibly due to the off-tourist season. Service: Regarding room service, one might find it slightly unconventional. Absence of a clear in-room menu or a direct line to the kitchen necessitated a couple of visits to the dining room for us. It's essential to be aware that, akin to many places in Sri Lanka, the kitchen's operational hours conclude at 9:30 pm. Hence, place your orders early. The upside, however, is the freshly prepared meals, with the flexibility to adjust the spice levels. Conclusion: In a nutshell, Jkab Beach Resort offers a largely positive experience, with a few areas of potential refinement. My family and I had a memorable stay, and given the positives, we are inclined to return. Prospective visitors should be equipped with this knowledge to make the most of their stay and advocate for any necessary improvements.

Rooms are clean n most of the facilities were there. NO COMPLAIN ANOUT ELECTRICITY, WATER, AIR CONDITIONING. Staff is very friendly n attentive. Location excellent to sea Sun rise, access to the beach n town. Food is tasty n specially the breakfast had more varieties than the lunch n dinner.

A perfect beach side getaway, with a wide array of different room options, great food and very friendly staff. For the price this place is definitely worth it. We came here with a group of 8, the rooms are nice and clean, the beds are comfy and the food is really good. Definitely a proper contender if you are looking for a place to stay.

Once went with friends.even though the food is expensive for the locals their service is good.good parking space.pretty well known place in Trincomalee.i tried sizzler plates.(last time i went it was like 1500rs for chicken).seemed good for the money. had it with friend's fried rice.the pool table was one of the reason i visited there. Enjoyed it for an hour(like 1000 per hour i guess?).

Awesome location and outstanding cabana. Breakfast was complimentary and tasty. Hotel ends at the beach. Inside the cabans there were few mosquitoes. Hope the management takes the necessary actions for that. Went late night and the keys were kept at the gate which was very easy to handle things at night.

Our final day in Sri Lanka and this place was a wonderful location to farewell our time here. Beautiful resort by the beach where we had a delicious buffet breakfast by the beach and watched fisherman bring in the fishing nets (which almost looks like tig of war with the ropes... at least 15 men to pull in the fish). The weather is hot and humid so a cool shower is suitable, no complaints about no hot water in the shower. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. A 3 minute walk from our room to the soft sandy beaches. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Not bad but room rates are higher when comparing to their services, rooms, facilities and food. Main meals just ok. But dessert items not worthy. We didn't feel any services offer by the hotel staff. Each and every time we have to request them for every basic needs. Rooms are not clean enough as they advertising. There were lot of mosquito inside rooms. Rooms are very compact and not much spacious. Rats run around dinning area. Washrooms also were not cleaned. Only the good thing is location. Very relaxing beach. Anyway the swimming pool was cleaned. Finally it's not a bad place to have your vacation if the room rates in a half price.

Great location. Close to the town and the railway station. (You can find a bike rental within 3-5 km radius and travel around the city if you are coming from the train.) Reasonably good prices for B&B. Superb breakfast with a lot of options to chose from. Friendly and helpful staff. Small but well equipped rooms(without towels). Nice pool. Pool is not well maintained. Bulbs are broken etc. No towels unless you asked. Can be better with better maintenance. Overall, a very positive experience.

We had our Wedding Eve here I'm rating 05 for their service and proper communication with us through the event. Highly Recommendable Service all credit should goes to the Manager. We've customized the food menu that they already had and they've done it in a best possible way. Loved the food and very helpful to carry out the event without any hussle. Rooms are fine and the morning view is refreshing there.

I really enjoyed staying at this resort. I would say the location is super. The town is close by and the beach is at the doorstep! I loved the swimming pool and the open and closed eating seating areas. The hotel lobbies, pool and rooms were well maintained and clean. My only issue was the bathroom as I felt it would have been cleaner and more appealing. I also would have liked to see some toiletries. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Very accommodating staff and very helpful. They always smiled and treated us with respect. We had a good time and the idea was not to stay in the room but to venture out and go exploring.. We had a good time and enjoyed the services there were on offer.

They could improve the facilities in the room. May need some minor repairs. Hats off to staff friendly and helpful. They did have hard Time tracking extra orders, they have ended up charging someone else's orders to different room. Cannot blame completely on staff. Eitherwas management was good They quickly corrected the mistake

The accommodation is beautiful and next to the beach. The rooms are good with very good beds. The swimming pool is very nice and clean. All the staff is trying to feel you at home, is very polite and helpful. I stayed three days longer than planned. The food is not very special but for me ok. They have nice cold beers

Considering the price, their cabana is good for a couple to stay. Space is very low,but can manage. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Breakfast was great. For breakfast they had arranged buffet. They provide driver accomodation as well for free with meals. Driver has to go to their JKAB park hotel. Beach in front of the hotel was clean.

nice room, not directly front beach but it was fine! the beacce was empty and acceptable clean. good place for relax on the beach. to go ar restaurantes and bar you need to take a 5 minutes tok tok

Very bad service Hotel, cabana, location is really good and very nice. But foods and service is really very bad.. if your couple if lady is beautiful dont go there because the lady never get right feeling to enjoining the hotel. Some boys looks like puppets do nothing just looking at woman like this boys havent seen lady before. To the owner please protect your property because you dont know what this people are doing....... It was one guy looks like a executive with wearing a tie and he was fully drunken around 8.30 pm... if he do like this how can he looking at the young boys.... Really sad because it is nice location and place......

The place was really woderful in a beach front.Can have a sea bath the sea was not rough Nice pool little hard water though the water was hot and soothing. Meals were good with considerable varieties . Service was poor you have to wait hours onece you order something. They didn't let us take liqour at the beach benches but could see some are doing was not flexible .

Perfectly fine place. Nice mix of singalese and foreign people. They offer wedding arrangements during the weekend, so can be crowdy. We don't mind but if you're looking for absolute peace you might want to look elsewhere.
