Stayed one night. Absolutely nice food Accommodation was good. Don't expect it to be luxury hotel category. But really good. There is a nice hike you can do. Takes about 2 hours. No good beach you can swim. You can do kayak Play cricket. Wolleyball Basket ball Gym. Pool. It's a nice two day getaway for a bunch of 4-10.

Prior booking is must for this place. We have to reach trincomalee navy camp then they will take us in a board ride of 10 minutes to the island. The island is so calm and relaxing. There is a ground that we can use to play anything. Tennis court is available. The relax walk inside the island is awesome. They have a nice pool with the very good view toward the prima. They provide buffet on prior request. It’s very shootable to go with the family or staffs or a gang as a day out. By 4 pm we have to return back. (Can stay at night on prior booking) Such a gorgeous island close to prima factory. Enjoyed a lot.

Nicely maintained hotel and restaurant by Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Navy. Belongs to the Malima hotel group. No views from the rooms. Only the jungle. Privacy is ok. Quite and calm place good to be taxed. Foods are ok. tasty. The view from the restaurant is also good. Service is also good. Some rooms are much bigger. You can enjoy it by riding Kayak boats, Swimming in the pool and sea, and visiting old constructions and untouched private beaches. And also the sports such as wallyball, crickets, tennis, Badminton, basketball, as well as the fully equipped gymnasium.

This is a great place to spend your vacation. Can only be reached by Navy Boats through Trincomalee Navy Camp. Hotel rooms can only be reserved with a recommendation of a NAVY OFFICER. You can have several facilities with the Full board package such as 3 meals, Tennis court, Badminton court, Volleyball Court, Basketball court, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, a 4 km hike with a guide, Cricket Ground, Kayak Rides and many more. Also the service is excellent and the food is delicious 😋. Also I would like to recommend a two night stay at the place to enjoy the full benefits attached with full board package. When talking about this scenic island, it was first occupied by Partugese Army and was followed by Holland and English soldiers. This is an island with a land of 175 acres is located 15-20 minutes boat ride away from main land. The island is well maintained by Sri Lanka Navy. Can make this island & resort a more popular and profitable by a proper marketing campaign and making room reservation process more easier.

Managed by Sri Lanka navy Location is mind blowing. Surrounded by the bay of the port sea. Food and dishes are mouthwatering. Swimming pool + tennis + kayaking are available. Foot paths are available around the island for nature lovers. Must visit places in Sri Lanka !

We had a memorable stay at the island. Food was delicious and worth the price. To serve food it took a long time at both lunch and breakfast. There were a lot of activities and sports to do. We enjoyed kayaking the most. Highly recommend to kayak it in the evening to watch the breathtaking sun set. Hike was also a good experience and were able to witness a beautiful view from the observation point. 2 nights would be ideal to get the maximum out of the stay which we couldn’t as we stayed only one night. Rooms was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean but there was some smell so better if they can improve it. There was an outdoor private bathing area but we couldn’t use it as it is visible to the restaurant. All staff members provided a very good service.

On 4th & 5th september we stayed HB and we had a great boat tour from Trincomalee Naval Base to Sobber Island. It was a very nice hotel and we enjoyed Kayak riding and swimming pool. Food was scrumptious and service was good. Though the bathroom was clean there was a bad smell from our bathroom. After we informed they made it to a super condition without any hesitation. We had an unforgettable moments there. Highly recommend for your stay. 👍

Very relaxing experience on this island with in the Tricomalee harbour. You suddenly become very close to nature after the hustle of city life. Lot to do in the vast acres of land. All amneties are available. Food is good. Managed by the Sri Lankan Navy.

We had a pleasant stay at this property maintained by the SL navy. The food was really amazing for the reasonable price they offered us and the room was comfortable and spacious. They offered free activities like kayaking too and you can also enjoy a good hike with one of their guides.

One of the best place to visit in Sri Lanka. Staff is super friendly. We have the best time. We enjoyed the kayaking and also watch the sunrise. The guide who helped us has a great knowledge about the island and we learned some amazing facts about the natural harbor of Sri Lanka. Thank you for your great service.

Best Place I have ever visit. This resort is managed Srilankan Navy. We grant special permission to enter the premises. Extremely friendly service from gate, boat transport and hotel. They will take you to island by a extremely fast boat. Room was amazing. There were facilities like AC, hot water and bath tubs also. You can ride kayank boat ride as complementary. They have guided us amazing hike also. Food was very good and filled our hungry stomaches. There isn't any drawbacks to mentioned. Recommend to all.

One of the best resort in Eastern province. Surrounded by the beautiful sea and shaded by trees. Even in a firey hot day, Sober Island's tree shelter make it cool and comfortable. Resort provides deferent amenities such as gymnasium, tennis courts, swimming pool, kayaking, hike through jungle and so on. Rooms are also well-cleaned and maintained pleasantly.

It is not clear if direct bookings are accepted or if you have to book through a naval officer. If you do manage to book you have to enter the Trincomalee naval base through the main gate and park your vehicle near the Pepperpot Pier. A boat will take you to the Sobers Island. It is a stunning place with big rooms and tall roofs and a restaurant that commands super views. Swimming pool and Tennis court available. MUST SEE in the island Fun Island (Minden Cove) - where Kayaking is possible Gun point - where the Britishers mounted their heavy guns Viewing point - a tall ladder takes you to a platform with 360 degree views Orlando Cove - could see Little Sober Island from there
