Great place to know about the Sri Lankan army and the Civil War. Contains guns, armoured vehicles that belong to the SL army and also guns captured by the LTTE. There is a Rs 30 entry ticket for locals and Rs 300 for foreigners. An army officer will walk you through the area explaining the details of the exhibits. There is also a air rifle shooting range. Some areas do not allow photographs to be taken so stick to the rules. No prior permission needed to enter this museum.

Don't Waste Time Lies about admission ticket prices. Staff said locals pay Rs 150, foreigners pay Rs 250. The fact is that locals only pay Rs 30. Absolutely no English. Not a place for foreigners unless you are big fan of military weapons and have too much time to kill.

This place has a large collection of war memorials. You have to buy an entrance ticket at a very low cost. Main attraction is the tanks and you can go inside some tanks as well. There’s a place to try out some rifle shooting at an additional cost.

This was worth the visit. There was a huge collection of weapons, tanks, military vehicles on display. The Air rifle range was super awesome! The Army guides were very friendly and polite. Clean toilet facilities for ladies and gents. The canteen had little food and few varieties of soft drinks.

A great place if you love guns, tanks and other military stuff. There's a air rifle firing range available for the visitors. I think the pricing is also reasonably for both entrance and the firing range. It's around 30 LKR for locals and around 300 LKR for foreigners. It's pretty much reasonable. The surrounding area is also filled with trees and calm. It's facing water and good environment.

Entrance fee is Rs.30/= Located at Orr's hill area in Trincomalee town. Only one entrance. You can't enter to the place through "22 brigade road". So don't go on that way. You can see and get knowledge about weapons(guns, tanks, multi barrels, motar, long range guns, communication equepments) who used Sri Lankan army during war time and also captured weapons from LTTE. Also there is a visual and auditory theater. Other than that there is a firing area. You can get firing experience by using air rifles. You have to pay Rs.150/= for 5 bullets. It's very interesting. Don't forget to do it.

A must visit place on your journey to Trincomalee. Located near Trincomalee Bay. Can be easily found with the help of google maps. They charge Rs.100/- for a local adult as an entrance ticket. But it is worth the try. The premises are clean and neat. Well maintained by SL Army personnel. So many artifacts which we heard throughout the war era and experienced by the video games can be seen there. Also they allow us to get inside to a BTR. No guide needed, all artifacts are labeled. It was a great experience. Inside cafeteria is well maintained. Washroom facilities available. The air rifle facility is closed due to the off season.
