Ace diving outfit! Very professional in all their guided PADI certification courses. Would recommend to anyone needing Open water or Advanced open water and other PADI courses (I have done a fair bit of diving witha few other outfits in Sri Lanka and these guys are thorougly organized compared to most of them). I've seen students being approached with many different teaching techniques with an infinite amount of patience.. till they got rid of any fear or inability to do the required exercise. After a lot of recommendations we decided to go for a discover dive with Sam the instructor from the Kalpitiya diving center branch in trincomalee. We had the most amazing diving experience with Sam (the diving instructor) who was extremely experienced and very well knew what he was doing. He was capable in teaching us the initial techniques very well (in the shallow water) in a way that we were able to understand and handle our selves alone under water in the deep sea. But of course we were always under the guidance and observation in deep see to make sure we were safe and doing alright. We were able to see various types of flora and fauna underwater. We also saw multiple cave sites that were absolutely magical. We are so excited and can’t wait to go back and do the PADI professional diving course with them! Although I have a lot of diving experience, but this is the second diving trip with my wife. We met two very friendly and fun people in Trincomalee, Mr. Samith Fernando (Sam) and his son Sanusha. Felt very safe. The reason for that is Mr. Sam's friendly staff and family. Mr. Sam's wife also helped us a lot. They were all very concerned about our safety. The beautiful and beautiful underwater world of Trincomalee allowed us to see under their protection. It was possible. Diving had been a long-standing item on my bucket list for several years, and I finally had the opportunity to fulfill that dream in July. I embarked on a series of recreational dives with the fantastic team at Kalpitiya Diving Center, led by the remarkable instructor, Sam Aiya. My sister and I were interested in going for a DSD (Discover scuba dive) in Trincomalee and we reached out to Sam aiya (Mr Samitha Fernando) who was more than happy to accommodate us. Before the dive his trusty crew ensured all the equipment were safe and upto regulation while Sam aiya gave us a briefing on the 2 dive sites we were going to go to. We visited swami rock and the navy museum which was an immaculate experience. Along the dive Sam aiya his son Sanusha and his relative Buddhika were our guides in the water and out, telling us stories about the dive sites and their previous dive experiences, giving us vital tips. Once we were in the water constantly they would check on us to make sure we are okay and always check our oxygen levels to make sure we are not low on air. To give us the best experience not only do they ensure our safety but they show us interesting aquatic life and point out any poisonous or potential threats. Sam aiya was generous enough to capture all our underwater moments and share them with us for no charge at all. I recommend kalpitiya diving center to anyone interesting in diving snorkeling. They are the best in the business and are bound to give you the best price and experience.
