Sometimes referred as Trincomalee Town Beach, Easy access as it's situtaed in the town area. Not advicing swimming or bathing. Beach can be sometimes lack of cleanliness and sometimes it's bit crowded. View is good. If it's clean, it can be a wonderful place to relax.

Very nice place and mind relaxing place in trincomalee. It is suitable in evening time and can be feel the cold sea wind. Close your eyes and feel the freedom and it will be forget your all the pain. It will be help to cure your inner sorrows. Just you want to do is feel the wind and close your eyes. 😍

This review is to state the current condition of the beach at the end of 2022. While we understand that it may be beautiful beach just like the other reviews are saying, right now the beach is not in a good condition. The sand is beautiful and you can take a stroll up and down the whole beach. However, there’s a lot of waste lying around and most concerning wasn’t only the plastic but that there’s clearly also a lot of waste from the nearby hospital. We found many surgery gloves but also cannulas from syringes in the sand. It’s unfortunately sad to say that it was kind of dangerous to walk barefoot. We don’t know how the beach condition is during the season but off-season it wasn’t good. We could still enjoy some dips in the water though, which were nice.

It has been a part of my morning routine for almost a week now, and it is a lovely beach. Every day is a new adventure. The most cinematic scenes are created here in the morning and evening. The beach is little cold in the evening, but it is beautiful and warm in the morning. Usually busiest in the evening. Fishermen return from the sea, people play on the beach, and birds return for their nests. People are bathing in the sea a short distance away, while costal guards are on duty until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., you are not permitted to bathe in the water because the current is too dangerous. There are kites flying in the sky. You may also see some of the most cinematic sky here, with that giant red ball in the center. The crimson ball appears for a brief moment in the reddish sky. This is incredible to watch. Many mornings, you can watch a herd of deer munching grass and wandering around. Those are some truly lovely scenes. There are the big ones, who battle and wrestle with their horns, and the baby deers, who are playful and fascinating to watch. The sun is making an incredible presence from the horizon for the day. It is one of the few sites in Trinco that has the nicest scenes for me.

Beach is nice and beautiful. But in some areas can't swim because of sea plants and garbage.

Nice beach with a view of Trincomalee fort. You can have a safe bath here . Glass bottom boat rides are also available from here. It cost us 2500 rupees and up to 8 people can be accommodated in a boat. They go close to Rawana abyss and the view from there towards koneshwaram kovil is awesome. Beach is good to visit in early morning or late evenings to avoid hot weather.

Although it is a Hindu temple, many other people were visiting. The history of the temple was written on the wall with pictures. Very nice mountain and Seaview. Lots of deer and monkeys were near the jungle.

In my opinion Trincomalle has everything on offer whether it be a beach stay, diving to a shipwreck, snorkelling in crystal clear water, whale watching across the bay, kite surfing all this in city built on a headland, which naturally protects the massive harbour behind it, also a naval station of Sri Lanka navy.
