The food wasn’t great and the price for the quality of the food way too high. The rice and curry and the biryani were okay, but the pasta we had was very bad. Can’t recommend. Service gets more stars as the waiter was polite. The food did take very long, we waited for 1 hour.

This is a really good place. It’s worth visiting if you’re going to Trinco. It’s very hard to find good spaghetti in Sri-Lanka, but carbonara here is pretty good. Burgers and traditional dishes are also awesome. Guys have a good range of vines, by the way, and delicious coctails. Speaking about the staff, they are so pleasant and helpful. The guys could speak good english and will help you with everything. Thank you, Dushi and Jayawrera and special thanks to Roshan - this guy is absolutely amazing.

We had a wonderfully foody experience with these guys. We had a Lovely dinner which was delicious and followed by a custom breakfast order with traditional Rice and curry with chapathi. The restaurant staff was very polite and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience good food and good people.

Friendly staff and nice cocktails. Location is perfect, would recommend to get up one stair where the wind is more present and the view great.

Best breakfast in Uppuveli! Perfekt view and atmosphere, affordable prices, generous portions, tasty af. And the staff is very friendly too. You should try their Club Sandwich with some hot tea or coffee ;)

Nice restaurant at a beautiful Uppuveli beach. A very friendly personal serves the best Club sandwich, best rice and curry, tasty lemonades, all along with the wonderful view of the ocean.

We had some beer & got fried beef for lunch .... WOW it was so good... I have never had Crispy beef like that, cheers to the chef. Then we had Lunch, which was Fish rice & curry was very tasty. Will visit again in the future. Unfortunately they have only one common wash room for the restaurant, which they have to do some change on urgent basis. FYI management.

I really liked the cafe, the prices are less than in the small ones on the street, and the service is good, the food is delicious and the best view of the ocean! There is a second floor. The waiters are nice and friendly. Sun beds and umbrellas are free of charge for visitors.

Very nice place on the beach and with nice patio furniture. Food was very nice and I he menu offered a lot of variety. Prices were fair and not overpriced. We went with a big group of 16 people and we received a fast service. Would definitely recommend!!

The staff here are so friendly and lovely. I came here several times during my stay in Trincomalee. My recommendations are the grilled tuna and the grilled chicken. It was really tasty and good prices. Lovely place to sit and have a beer and watch the sunset.

Saw this place while walking around the beach and decided to try it. Ended up going back another day too. Good meal options, local and western style, with reasonable prices. I tried the burger first as I was craving some and it was a bit dry but the patty had a homemade feel so I really enjoyed it. Another day I tried the nasigoreng with prawns and it was quite good. I do not recommend the avocado toast, that was a big disappointment. Fruit juices are also really good and beer is well priced. If you buy something, which you would do for a day at the beach, you can use the sunbeds too and spend the day there

We absolutely loved Blue Sand. We were only in Trincomalee for 3 nights and at their 2/3 because the food was so good, such reasonable prices, staff were so friendly, especially Lucie. Such a lovely place, if you’re thinking of going, go!!

Blue Sand is the place, where you want to go for a breakfast/brunch. You need to try their Egg sandwich, you won't find better in whole country! Thank me later :)

Just finished my second round of the Sri Lankan buffet. With a wonderful selection of diverse curries, my favorite was definitely the potatoes with caramelized onions. Their chicken curry had incredible flavors, without being over cooked (as I’ve often had in Sri Lanka). The place is beautifully situated on the beach, and offers a welcomed cool breeze. The upper level has an even better ocean view. I look forward to coming back!
