This place was great! I had the Chili Verde Platter, it was excellent. Not too spicy, great flavor. I substituted fried potatoes for rice. Raegan had chicken enchiladas Verde and enjoyed it. We also had flan, outstanding. The salsa needs extra mention, it was not too hot and had a slight smoky flavor, great flavor. Service was very friendly and fast.

Had a slight mishap that caused us to spend some time downtown. We walked around & found this place & are so glad we did! Table service was top notch! Very friendly & attentive. Food is scratch made & delicious! I had the three taco sampler plate & choose three different meats & all were amazing! Cozy atmosphere & the food was worth the wait!

If you are looking for delicious non chain food, this is your stop. Waiter was ridiculously nice and attentive. I had the taco platter and it was delicious 😋

This was a super find as we stopped for lunch while traveling! It’s in the lower level of an historic building on Main Street Trinidad—right in the middle of the charming downtown. The decor of this small restaurant doesn’t disappoint with copper topped tables surrounded by brick and stone walls and colorful paint accents. The food was delightfully presented—photo ready for sure—and as delicious as it was beautiful!! The service was excellent as well.

Their salsa is smoky and right amount of spice. Strong margaritas which is fine. I had the Taco salad with chicken breast. The salad itself was very flavorful but the chicken was very tough. Overall staff were very friendly. I will definitely return to eat here again when passing through.

Kid friendly, and they have the best green chili around. Don't fill up on chips you're going to want to eat every drop.

Food was very good. Service was friendly, but extremely slow. One of my two boys found the ground beef tacos too spicy, but all of our food was hot and fresh, and all tasted great. Did find it odd that they charge for "to go" drinks.

Delicious, fresh, and all by an amazing, hard-working staff. You will not be disappointed. Their chicken tacos are a go-to lunch for my cowboy.

First of all Raye makes a Killer Fresh Mango Margarita that we ordered for lunch and we got to take it home to drink 32oz Mango Margarita. The food is well worth the price. Everything is so very fresh. We just moved to Trinidad and my wife and I will definitely make this a go to spot. Thank you Raye for looking out. Tip: Have Raye make your Margarita to go.

This place had the best enchiladas I've ever had. I got them with the queso on top and it is a $1 upcharge but it was well worth it.

Smothered burritos!!! They taste as good as the photos look. This place is amazing and a must try in Trinidad. Looking forward to returning in the future.

What a fantastic hidden jem. We were looking for a new place. By far, the best meal we have had in Trinidad in more than 30 years. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was exceptional, and priced so reasonably. The bar was a nice addition as well. I have paid double for meals that could never compare in value or taste. It's family owned and is a little hidden on the lower level of a beautiful building. I can't imagine going anywhere else when in Trinidad. Thanks for the exceptional service caring for our family as if we were family

This place was so good. First bite reminded me of homemade sauce, just like grandma used to make. I had the Azteca and was not disappointed. The chips and salsa were very good too.The staff was super nice and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Frustrating experience tonight. We walked in and the host/bartender told us he needed to clean some tables before seating us, even though we could clearly see several clean tables available. Instead of cleaning tables and seating us, we watched him make frozen margaritas for 10 minutes before we decided to just walk out and eat elsewhere. Do better, your food is usually good but your service is lacking.

Have missed authentic New Mexico inspired Mexican food since moving to Texas. This place 100% hit the spot. Had the Chile rellenos with green chili and my wife had the shredded beef burrito. Both were exactly what we were looking for and I would definitely go back here.

The salsa was delicious! Got my hopes up high. The margarita and que so dip were so so at best. Chris was quick and responsive. Rose was an absolute lump on a log. At times she was just standing with hands on hips while Chris and the cook ran around (literally running!) trying to take orders, deliver orders, fill and refill chips and drinks. I got the taco salad to be on the safe side. Left most of it. My daughter in love thinks they have the best flan ever in her life. Bathrooms were clean. Need a coin for access.

My son and I traveled to Trinidad for Father’s Day and stopped in for our dinner meal. It was Friday evening and the place was almost full. There were only two working but they kept everything moving along. Our hostess was very attentive and talked to us about the town. And took our order. The food was absolutely delicious and she returned several times to see how we doing. Great service great food. Highly recommend.

As the sign says at the entrance of this bustling restaurant, "It's worth the wait!" After a recent Friday Night Art Walk in beautifully restored Trinidad, we stopped at Mission at the Bell for dinner. I'd never heard of it or seen it, but a friend suggested it. Located in a very interesting spot (the basement of an office building), the interior has a cozy and intimate feel. The service (Christopher) was energetic and enthusiastic, and the food was some of the best in town - I had Cheese Enchiladas - the benchmark for Mexican food in my opinion. The drinks were fantastic, and it definitely was worth the wait -- I highly recommend Mission at the Bell for anyone who likes Mexican food of any variety. To me, this is not Traditional, nor is it TexMex (one of my favorites) -- it is UniqueMex, and it is delicious!!

My family stops at Mission at the Bell every year. The food is consistently wonderful. Even though they are understaffed, the wait staff is always amazing. Our waitress today was friendly and very professional. Chris is always a hoot. Food is amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. We will see you guys next year. 😁

Best Mexican food I've eaten in a long time, and I've lived in New Mexico for over 20 years. I ate the enchiladas, christmas, with rice and beans. Loved it all. Free basket of freshly fried chips with a great salsa. Service was wonderful. Christopher was our waiter. All staff were friendly and helpful. Price is very reasonable.

Foods great people are great just the price and portion of cheap things like bean n rice

  • 2/5 Russ M. 3 years ago on Google
Only reason I was giving 2 stars is for food flavor. If portions were a little larger then maybe a 3rd star. The server must have been having a bad day. Because she is the only reason I didn't give a higher rating.

One of my top locations for tasty Mexican food. I give this place two thumbs up. It has an awesome atmosphere. Mood here is similar to Fresno's scene.

A terrific Tex-mex restaurant with owners who truly care about the detail and quality of their service and food. Order To Go, or eat inside and be served by a wonderful wait staff.

Nice location for delicious Mexican food. Stopped in on a Monday I think. The service was very sociable and kind. Prices are fair I would say. Makes me feel like I am back in Tucson.

Let me start out with Wow! This family owned Mexican restaurant is bursting with flavors galore! The queso has the best consistency as far as queso’s go, fresh creamy goodness, with incredibly well seasoned/tender adobada meat. My hubby and I shared a large top shelf margarita and the Mexicana taco plate w/ grilled sirloin, very tasty. They made vermicelli rice as a side dish. It was so good we ordered a side Togo!

Very accommodating and a friendly plus I have to shout out to the person who made the fideo oh my goodness it was GREAT a refreshing change.

Place is super cool looking, great location. Food is simple kinda Mexican that is very prevalent in the state, with some different touches. It was tasty enough but heavy. It put me out of commission for a while that day, but I'm not really a fan of that type of Mexican food. Their chips and salsa are good. The salsa is more liquidy than my preference and I found myself eating it plenty! Churro donuts were good though had absorbed a lot of oil. This place is popular with locals and it's understandable if you like CO Mexican restaurants. Staff was nice and good, and the experience was fine. If you're seeking out a regular Mexican restaurant, you're probably going to like this place.

My first time after many recommendations, and I loved my food! The chile relleno I got on my combo plate was one of the best I've ever had. And we couldn't eat the queso quick enough! A must try.

One of the most authentic, fresh, homemade Mexican food restaurants I've had the pleasure of eating at. Service is great and the fresh homemade salsa is just the beginning of an exciting delicious meal.

  • 5/5 Teri H. 3 years ago on Google
Cozy place with good Mexican food & good service. Wait persons were very attentive & always smiling. If you order queso dip you'd better order the bowl instead of the cup. Best I've ever eaten and ours was gone in a flash.

Just tried this place for the first time today, very impressed! Delicious food, we are vegetarian and the menu had great options still. The churro rings are to die for, honestly. We will be back. Great food, great service.

The food was prepared well but it was way too spicy. The server nor the menu didn't prepare us for the level of heat some of the plates had. One of the plates came out wrong and instead of offering to fix it, the waitress raised her voice and declared she was right. If you want spicy, give it a go. Otherwise, I'd recommend to look elsewhere.
