Such a joy to visit this incredible cathedral. I lit votive candles and prayed whilst listening to the Tromsø orchestra rehearsing. The stained glass window is spectacular and it simply felt so spiritual to be offering thanks from this frozen place of extreme beauty.

A wonderful church situated on a small hill. Although the church was not built in a typical Norwegian design, but it fits perfectly into its surroundings. the beautiful glass window alone is an eye-catcher. Admission per person NOK 70 - relatively cheap for Norway. You should definitely visit this church when you are in Tromsø.

Beautiful stained glass window. Wish they were still doing the midnight concert, but they have not since Covid. I've added photos of Tromso as well.

Very beautiful and one of a kind cathedral and it’s location makes it more beautiful. Wall made of glass and shape of trigle makes its mesmerising 🥰Must visit place in Tromso. Bus directly go to this cathedral so it’s not a problem.

Visited on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. The architecture is impressive, but mostly from the outside. I'd say it's not worth paying the 70NOK (£5.5) to go inside, it feels pretty empty and the exhibition downstairs was a missed opportunity to make the visit interesting. I'd have liked to learn more about the history of the cathedral instead.

Nice cathedral at Tromso. Looks good on the outside and from far away where the cathedral is in the backdrop for some good photos. However, I don’t think it is worth it to pay NOK55 (as a tourist)to go in and walk around inside. You can peek through the glass and see that it is just one small round around the cathedral. However if you are here for religious purposes, then it is a different story for the entrance fee.

Smaller than I expected but still amazing. The stained glass was spectacular. Even sang Dona Nobis Pacem with a German Army Pastor showing the acoustics are great!

Beautiful cathedral. Lots of information inside. Fair price, 55nok entry. Can stay as long as you wish, but does close to the public at 5pm. Easy access by local bus (20nok 1 hour use) from city Central.

For a place designed and built in the '60s, the cathedral looks very modern and clean. It's a small place to visit, but you get access to their souvenir shop (where you can get post cards or a collectable coin with the cathedral), and to their toilets. There are some pictures in the underground floor that shows the history of the cathedral, how it was designed and how it was built.

Nice place. I visited around 10am. Cathedral was closed for public because of some function inside ( might be wedding). I couldn't see the tinted glass walls. The cathedral was looking heavenly with the colours from the background mountain and the sunrise.

Beautiful church. Very unique design on the glass. We spent around 30 minutes there. You can take a bus from the city . It takes around 6 minutes to reach the stop for the church and the bus stop is just beside the church.

Nov 4th at 6:45pm. Really lovely day or night.. Parking lot in the back if you want a few mins to grab some pictures.

Beautiful architecture yet very simple and intimate. I really liked not seeing Jesus on the cross in the conventional way it usually is in Christian churches. The shape is harmonized with the mural making it one of the most unique churches I've visited in the world. Ace told us the history of how the church was built, how hard it is to clean the windows due to it's shape. They had to hire professional mountain climbers to do that! About the mural and organ additions later on. The meaning of the numbers on the walls and a lot more interesting information. There's a changing display. Currently, it's beautiful local photography. Opening hours change on short notice sometimes (funerals / christening). I highly recommend calling ahead or checking their website. Usually, it's 13-17 (Wed 14-17). Parking is free behind the church. Bathrooms are available. The only unharmonized part for me is - I would much rather donate 70kr (probably more) than pay at the entrance. I always thought paying to go into church just depicts the whole concept of a house of God hence the 4 stars.

Walking through the bridge, the cathedral is just in front of. A triangle white shape with couple layers on the side makes it so special and modern. it is one of the landmark in Tromso. Except walking by, you can take local bus of 26.

It was ok but I don't think it was worth the entry fee. You can see by looking through the window. It's nice to go up there and take a couple of pictures

Beautifully lit Cathedral at night and the architectural structure makes it stand out from all the other buildings in Tromso. I have seen many Cathedrals across the globe and this is definitely the most stylish and modern design of them all, well it has to be as it doubles up as a concert hall! I did not enter the Cathedral as other reviews stated the inside was nothing special. Well worth a walk around from the exterior you will not be disappointed!

A very unique landmark of Tromsø, however not open to the public at all times to enter. It's exterior architecture is the main interesting factor and that is perfectly visible from the outside. It is accessible from Tromsø either via walking over the long main bridge, or via taking the bus to Tromsdalen.

The cathedral itself it’s beautiful, from the outside it looks great, inside there is not so much to see to be honest, especially because there is an entrance fee , but only the ground floor is accessible. You can actually see everything from the outside, i wouldn’t pay for a ticket again.

One of the most popular landmark in Tromso. The true beauty of the Cathedral comes out at night when it's lit up. To enter you have to pay 70NOK as of Feb 2023. Honestly i don't think it's worth it as there's nothing much to see inside. You'll get a more beautiful view outside.

Stunning building and worth seeing. 50NOK to enter is a bit rude. It’s a cathedral I’d have thought it would be a donation rather than an entrance fee.

I really recommend you to go and see this beautiful cathedral. I really liked the architecture inside, it was so modern, airy and above all cheerful compared to traditional cathedrals! The entrance costs about 7€ per person and you will have a souvenir shop selling some items that are not typical for Tromsø and the region. Go at the end of the day to get less crowded or else in the middle of the day to see the zenithal light through the beautiful big windows. Either way, you won't regret your visit as it is a beautiful monument and well worth a visit.

Visited the Cathedral in the morning. I would rather recommend seeing it at night if possible - for some stunning photos. It's a rather small cathedral but very unique architecture! The entrance is 70NOK - but I wouldn't bother. The inside of the Cathedral is small and there is not much to see.

Very nice visit to this iconic Tromso landmark. We arrived having walked across the bridge from the centre. Unfortunately on our arrival we discovered it was closed to the public due to a funeral. Luckily we had other plans so we're able to return a few hours later when it had reopened. Would recommend if in the area.

A distinguished unusual cathedral, worth a stop on your way towards Fløya, Tromsø's amazing panoramic mountain peak. Even though the perfect time to visit Fløya during summer months is at nigh, to enjoy the midnight sun's light that is covering the area, it would be better to visit the cathedral in the morning, where the sun would shine on the back of the cathedral, for the amazing lighting show that it would perform. Did not visit the interior, but I hear it's not that interesting, and there's also a fee for the visit. However, the exterior is the best part of the building, which is the home for concerts and other events as well.

One of the many landmarks in Tromsø. Architecturally speaking it’s a really interesting building. The interior is quite colorful. The entrance is approximately 55 NOK, but there’s not much to do inside as it’s a rather small building and, well, it’s simply a cathedral.

The cathedral is really beautiful. One of the landmarks of the city. You can easily locate it from Fjellheisen too. The thing which I didn't like: a 6 euro entry ticket to get inside. Most of the tourist don't stay more than 10 mins inside.

Beautiful architecture! The area outside the Arctic Cathedral gives you a nice view of Tromsø from the other side of the bridge. There are good bus connections to the Arctic Cathedral.
