Great spot for all ages! Loads of interesting facts about the world we live in and how things work such as electricity and the likes. Loads of interactive bits and bobs too and then you have the northern lights show in the planetarium

Great rainy day gateway! Awesome center, I was so pleasantly surprised to see everyone taking their shoes off before entering!. Fun, educational, hands-on, interactive, easy to understand. 90% of the exhibits are also in English. You'll need at least 3 hours to explore everything, aim for 4 hours in case it's busy and you have to wait in line. Really paint the sad and scary reality of climate change effects. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free, it's further down the road (as seen in the 1st pic). Make the first right after the Science center, you're bssically coming from behind the center.. Make sure you park on the lower level where the EV charging stations are. There's an area for coats and shoes, sitting area, bathrooms and free lockers to store bags (ask for a key at reception). The Northern Light Show is a complete must! I learned so much! It's a true magical moment filmed by a Tromsø native Ole Salmonson.

This is easily the best deal in Tromso. I took the bus to the science center, paid my fee and started exploring. They have wonderful displays about weather and the environment. But the best thing to do is watch the movie about the aurora. It's included in the price and is absolutely worth the price of admission all by itself. Stop by sometime. Take your time. Enjoy yourself. It's worth it.

Fun for the kid, especially with the October lego exhibit.

Super nice morning spent there. Fun activities, nice movies with aurora information and planets, good area for manual activities for kids, good area if you want give food to your kids, they don’t sell but u can bring from home. Even my toddler with 16months had fun! I would just have one of two staff to go around and tell a bit about the experiences there.

You CANNOT PARK here during the week!! The spaces are reserved for staff and students ONLY and even if you pay for the parking you WILL receive a ticket do not trust the parking app as it doesn't mention that it can only be used with a parking permit. We went out of our way to try and make sure we were parked in an appropriate place l according to the app but it did not have this information and being tourists we couldn't read the signage so assumed the app knew best. The museum itself is phenomenal with many great activities to get involved with. We had a fantastic time which ended with the show in the planetarium. Just do yourself a favour and save a big chunk of money by taking the bus and not trying to park on weekdays. At weekend this is not an issue as the permits are not required then and you can pay normally on the app or according to a guide for free further down the hill.

If you are coming too Tromso with children who enjoy learning and education this is an awesome place to visit.

Mostly for children. Some exhibits not functioning. On the other hand, ticket price is quite low for Norway so can’t expect too much.

This place was a lot of fun, and we are two adults in our 30s! There is a lot of information with signage in English, and a lot of interactive exhibits. My husband and I had fun with a whole floor of interactive science games. There was also a show about the Northern lights which we enjoyed.

Phisics for kids. Northern lights extreme was nice but was expected more 3D virtual reality.

Honestly, top attraction when visiting with my 5 year old - there are many hands on displays and educational exhibits, but also lots of opportunity to just play. At 26 minutes long, even younger kids can manage the movie about Northern Lights. My kids liked this even more than the Troll Museum in the city center.

Nice way to spend the day. Lots of interactive activities to do. There were a few things out of order at the moment, but more than enough to do otherwise

Northern lights show good, but rest is for junior school kids

The Planetarium was quite a good experience however we waited over 1h to get the English version of the Extreme Northern Lights show as it was advertised on the screen, skipping the earlier Norwegian version. However it ended up also being in Norwegian. Bit disappointed as it seemed like a very interesting story. Would be happier to understand much more...

The best attraction in Tromsø. The best interactive museum i've ever been. Perfect for children of all ages (2 to 92).

Not only for children! Very interactive - we loved it. Next time we will spend more time

It's a nice place for children with a lot of different activities and a planetarium where you can watch a movie about northern lights. The movie is a little boring though. 30 minutes to watch something that you can easily find on youtube! Another negative is that there is no restaurant there in case you are hungry, like we were.
