Snow shoeing cross country skiing? How about sledding or maybe some Frisbee golf? You could also just take a run or admire the views. Plenty of space to park and if it's a clear night you may see some northern lights. Not far from town but if you aren't a local you might want a ride or a rental to get there.

I went here last week (in the winter). It has beautiful cross country fields, sledding, ice skating, and a lovely walking paths. A great place to see the Northern lights as well!

It was nice to experience the joy we used to have when we were kids and we played through the snow. Only a place for borrowing cross sky was missing but it can be found close, in town center!

A perfect recreational place in the middle of Tromsø City. You just do any outdoor activities like country skiing, cycling , jogging or just go for a tour. Must visit in Tromsø. And never the last but Perfect place to see northern lights

This park is amazing for visitors. As someone foreign to the arctic I was amazed at it all. People skiiing, ice skating etc.. Heated toilet! Amazing views

Another favorite spot for jogging and working out outdoors. There is also various installations for activities here, like equipment for body weight excersises, nets for climbing, soccer field +++. There is also a public toilet here, but I believe it is closed during the winter.

I absolutely loved this place during my stay in Tromsø. I played couple of rounds of discgolf there but also a round of soccer with locals. how to get there? There is a parking space available. Public transfer? Take Bus Nr 26 and get off at "Skoglyst".. From there it's a 5 mins walk. Discgolf: A lovely course with focus on the technical aspect of the game. Except for 2 distance holes most holes are rather short, averaging 60m perhaps. However fairways are very narrow and mandos and trees mean you really need to shape your shot well in order to score well. Even players with big arms need to straddle out quite often. Moreover the many hills may force you to get creative with your stance on your upshot too sometimes. Bring good shoes though als the course tends to be muddy and wet. If your disc kicks off the fairway it may land in water or wet dirt. Bring good shoes. Patience is important too as it is frequented well on weekends and people from beginners level to pro get along. People are very nice and humble. Soccer fields: very nice and the park looks very clean. The only think I couldn't find up their was a public source of drinking water. Make sure to bring along enough to drink. Correct me if I am wrong.

Very nice place to be for all seasons, but not very many possibilities for the youngest children (0-2).
