👍👍 Tried the 9-course tasting menu with wine pairing. I don't really have much to say: the food was incredible, the service was amazing, the location was perfect as it was a 5 minute walk from my hotel and I'm a lightweight so definitely would not have been able to drive coherently after the wine. It'... People often mention wine, menu, good, service, nice, tasting, great, time, Tromso, dishes,

We have been there twice with my wife. Once for valentine's Day, a wonderful time to begin our honeymoon. And once ten days later for our last evening. The first time was at the restaurant, it was so nice!!! A four courses menu, each course better than the last. The second time was at the bar, and again everything was perfect. The person who served us gave us really good advice. I could say that he knew better than me what I wanted! Thanks a lot!

Waiter Andreas is full og knowledge, humour and really patient with us when the alcohol level gets too high. The food is really good and the service is polite and superb.

It's expensive, even by Norwegian standards - but you get what you pay for. If it's in your budget I would absolutely recommend visiting.

The food is quite good, the place is nice and located in the center of Tromso, and it includes some local dishes (eg, cod tongue). For Norwegian standards, the price is not too high (it is not cheap either, the main dishes are around 23-38€).

Delicious food, tried the reindeer beef which was perfectly cooked and cod fish which was ok, one piece was more dry than the other. Nice service and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience 😁

We didn’t book a table for dinner but found a table in the wine bar downstairs. We ordered two dishes tapas style from the snacks menu. Fish of the day, lamb, soup of the day (potato) and sausage. The food was good but portions are really small. We also had one glass of wine and sparkling water. Nice and sophisticated atmosphere, but pretty expensive considering the portion size of the dishes.

One of my favourite places in one of my favourite cities. There’s a class and style to the place that just fits and works. Superb food and easy enough to relax in the bar area and watch Tromso go by. We stopped in for a champagne celebration/night cap after seeing the most amazing northern lights display right above the city. Would have gone back to eat but take note - not open on Sundays. Book ahead to guarantee you don’t miss out on this wonderful place to spend time.

I live in tromsø and Emmas is a resturant that both manges to have amazing (local) food, but also the most friendly, competent and welcoming staff. Fine dining combined with northern Norwegian humour and warmth. This is my second time dining at Emma's, and it did not disappoint. We had two people in our group that shed actual tears of happnies because the dishes were so good. We did a five course tasting menu combined with a halved wine tasting pairing. Which was perfect for us as we aren't very fast drinkers and didn't want too feel rushed. If you are only going to go to one fine dining resturant in Tromsø, this would be my recommandation.

First night in Tromsø and was looking for somewhere to eat, found this place while walking around and loved it! One of the better burgers I’ve had, and the christmas gin and tonic was adorable.

what a treat! we were in Tromso for 3 nights and this was easily our highlight. We did the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines which for Norway prices was really reasonably priced. The downstairs bar is gorgeous, and the upstairs restaurant is so lovely and quaint; it's fine dining but with dinner party at your friends house vibes. The food was wonderful with a great range of fish, meat and small tasters. 5 course was still really substantial and I was truly full by the end. The best part though was the service - the staff are vibrant, young, and passionate about their restaurant. Every server we had both in the bar and restaurant was amazing but our waiter Annie was particularly great. Would definitely return if I ever get to up past the arctic circle again.

We did the 9 course tasting menu and wines for our first evening in Tromso as a treat for Christmas. We were not disappointed! Although it’s expensive I would say the brilliant service and quality food is worth the money (Tromso is expensive anyway) it really showed off Norway's produce, meat and fish. We sat in the restaurant upstairs was a lovely atmosphere.

Had a really fantastic experience here. We ended up having a 5 course meal which was delightful. Everything was so tasty and exquisite. The staff knew there way around the menu and provided an excellent amount of conversation.

We were here in 02/23. We booked in advance (you should do that, places upstairs are limited!) to have the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. First thing i want to mention: all of a sudden my girlfriend didn‘t feel well anymore. We were already seated and had a glass of champagne with the first greeting of the kitchen. It was absolutley not a problem to postpone to the next day. That kind of service was great! We came back the next evening and had a great time. The food was exceptional, the chosen wines were great! The waiters always gave a great intro to the next course. Definitively a recommendation. We would surely come again.

Everything was good and we had a most enjoyable 7 course tasting menu + chefs recommendation for the night.

My husband and I tried the 9 course tasting menu and what a culinary delight the experience was. Every single dish was delicious and perfection. We did not choose the wine pairing, but instead request a recommendation of a red wine that would overall complete each dish - I do not recall the name of the wine, it was a German winery.

We had the 9 course meal, Sophia (sorry if I got your name wrong!) was very lovely to explain each dish which was excellently prepared.

Unforgettable culinary experience! The dishes are a work of art for eyes and mouth. The different tastes were dancing harmonically in balance. Accomplishments for the Czech chef, Thomas; his mastery with the cuisine is astonishing. In addition, the place has a great atmosphere and the workers are professional and friendly. I absolutely recommend this unique place.

Great food and very nice atmosphere. I recommend you reindeer carpaccio, smoked reindeer, cured whale and steak of whale. Local beer also do the job. One of the bests kitchen in Tromsø. Highly recommended.

Had dinner here few days back. The venison inner filet was quite good and the blueberry sauce was also really quite good. The main dish was overall balanced and a treat. The desert was good but the semifreddo itself was a bit heavy for my taste. Very polite and professional staff that smiled and happily helped throughout. Coffee and beer were fine also. Pricing was alright at 900 for two mains, desert and drinks. The risotto my father had was a bit flat and so so though.

Emmas Dream Kitchen has its charm and French like atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and very delicious. As always, Norwegen waiters are very nice and helpful. I had the pan fired cod and it was yummy with tasty flavours. The desserts were super nice as well. I would recommend it to anyone who visits or lives in Tromso.

We have the best culinary experience in Norway. Dishes are perfectly well-cooked and staff was very nice. We also received two glasses as a gift for our honeymoon dinner. A very nice attention. Thank you so much!

👍 Had an amazing fish soup as an appetizer and fish and chips for main! The soup was really good, I am definitely taking that fish soup as my main course when I visit next time! They had a lot of steak options too, but I was definitely in for the best cod you can get part of Norway!

😐 Average pizza, very dry on the edges. Calzones had way too much cheese and not much flavour. The coke tasted like it’s been watered down. The place is spacious and don’t need to reserve in advance. Needed to wait nearly an hour for a pizza and a calzone, though the place was not even half full. It s...

👍👍 We had a booking for Saturday evening, and I'm glad we did as it was very busy. We got 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 2 cocktails for 1630NOK (£130). Everything was delicious, but the reindeer stake was one of the best things I've ever eaten. So much flavour! The restaurant is very cosy and the...
