We went on a whale safari with Polar Adventures and it was just amazing. We left early and it was light once we got to the feeding area. We saw several humpback whales and lots of orca. We also saw lots of seabirds and a couple of eagles. The scenery was beautiful. The boat was good, not too big and not too small so it didn't feel overcrowded. The crew were helpful and knowledgeable, also I got quite seasick and they were so kind to me. The fish soup on the way back to the harbour was delicious. This is definitely one of the best things I have ever done.

Loved our time spent with Polar Adventures on the 5 hour polar fjord cruise. The captain was very knowledgeable, the sights were beautiful, and the fish soup they served was delicious! We stopped a couple times to try our hand at fishing and a few of the guests caught some really nice sized fish for the next days soup. They provided thermal suits and it was definitely needed with how cold it was at the end of December! Highly recommend and would love to take family/friends in the future!

a great experience we saw orcas and humpback whales. the food is good, the welcome is warm. the captain extended the experience so that we could enjoy the company of a family of killer whales for longer. I highly recommend.

Excellent company and wonderful people! They keep you warm with thermal suits and fed with coffee/tea and cookies. I did the northern lights boat tour, which we were lucky to see! And attended also the fjord tour. Fantastic crew, Marlena is wonderful and comforting and Atli is amazing. Great food with the fish I caught 😃 peaceful landscapes

I recently took the 5 hour fjord cruise with Polar Adventures on their boat the Polar Queen. Firstly the positives. they crew were friendly and hospitable and did everything to make our trip enjoyable. However I have to say this wasn't exactly what I'd been led to believe it would be. We didn't exactly cruise the fjords so much as travel down from the island of tromso to a little inlet (which I know is technically a fjord) and then straight back to Tromos. I saw a huge amount more of the fjords and the spectacular scenery in and around Tromos the previous day in my hire car just driving around the mountain roads. We did see a couple of sea eagle and a couple of seals (at a huge distance) but there wasn't much else to see. We made a quick stop at an old cold war submarine pen which was interesting. We did some fishing but didn't catch a single thing at the first place. On the way home we did catch a few fish which was kind of exciting by for the most part it was more a fishing trip and a fjord cruise. We really didn't see much that you can't see from standing on the southern tip of Tromso. They did provide us with lots of refreshments on board and the provided meal of a bowl of soup we nice enough, but not very filling. The whole experience was enjoyable but a little disappointing as we really just spent most of the time a long way from the shores in the main shipping channel.

Peter and Hamad were brilliant and we had a great time with the group. The light show was incredible, but even if they had not appeared, we were so impressed with the knowledge, organisation and warmth of guides, the comforting drinks, delicious stew and roasting marshmallows on the campfire. It was magical.

We went into a cruise together! I feel so lucky that I had a chance to spend some awesome time with those people that are full of shiny energy and lovely vibes. Thanks for showing me that I love fish soup! Best! I used to think that I do not like fish 🐟 soup now I am a big fan♥️🤗 The trip was spectacular, we saw stunning views, eagles 🦅, we went fishing and we heard amazing stories 🌨😊

Myself and my partner went on the Northern lights Boat/ cruise chase evening. It was a fantastic evening, with very lovely hosts who were very knowledgeable and cheery. The unlimited hot drinks and cookies were well received. We saw the lights so well over Tromso harbour, they really danced for us. The captain constantly moved the boat to reposition to see them best with as little cloud cover as possible. It was a truly magical Polar Adventure! Would highly recommend to anyone, especially as we have done both the cruise and the bus chases and we preferred the cruise. The hours out in the cold were shorter and it didn't tire you out as much the next day.

We went for a northern light chase with Aneta. It was freezing but she took care of us with hot drinks, food, and thermal suit. She also know her way with professional camera. [Photo here is mine, she took much better photos of us 😉]. We visited 2 sites and we got to see how amazing this wonder of nature. Recommended 😁

My wife and I went on the polar whale safari. We were the first boat in the prime Orca and Humpback viewing area. We were not disappointed! Large schools of Orca's and 2 Humpbacks were there. Our captain safely navigated our boat to allow us up close viewing and his experience in the area kept us viewing the whales for hours. The crew members were very knowledgeable and friendly! This trip will be one we will never forget!!

We could spot the northern lights in Nov 7 and Nov 9 2022. We strongly recommend Polar Adventures as their tour is not the most expensive and the minibus and the structure they provide are excellent. I suggest using one of their thermal suits from the beginning, as the outside temperatures are very cold

Our guides were determined to get us to clear sky so we stood a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. And they did not disappoint us! After a long drive we found the spot to see the most amazing display. They ensured we were all warm enough, had pictures taken with their professional camera, made us warm drinks and food and dropped us off at our individual hotels. A great experience from 2 great guides. And we were sent all the pictures the very next day. I would definitely recommend this company of your looking for a tour or activity in Tromso. Thank you.

Had a good trip Wed (14/11/18) looked everywhere for Northern lights but with the weather against us no joy. We even went over the Finish boarder. Great stop for food, fire cooked hotdogs and hot soup. Guides were great and some good stories from Socrates. Thank you for a great night.

Very friendly staff. I booked two tours with them. But later decided to change it. Since it was within the two days cancellation period they were able to do it. Sokrates from the office was very helpful in suggesting things. Then crew on both the Fjords tour and whale watching tour were informative and friendly. I got to see the whales jumping out of water. I learnt that they don't do it that often. So I was lucky I guess.

We did two trips with these guys, First one was a whale watching cruise through the fjords, wrong time of year for whales however the scenery was worth the trip. Be warned if you plan on staying on deck it gets really cold (warm suits are available, but be quick there aren't many). The food wasn't great but I wasn't really hungry after seeing so many people get seasick!! Second trip was northern light chasing, this is the reason for 5 stars! After being picked up in the town centre we drove north with our guide constantly watching the sky for signs of the lights. After an hour our guide stopped the vehicle and we managed to see the lights and grab a few photos. The guide said he could do better so we drove further north and stopped at a campsite, this was amazing. We set up a campfire next to a lake and after our eyes adjusted to the dark I realised we were next to a huge mountain range...after 30 minutes of waiting we were lucky to see the lights again. Don't expect to see to much with the naked eye as you only see the lights clearly when taking pictures. Having said that it was amazing to see them and I will be going again when I return to Norway next year. During our time at the lake we were served hotdogs, coffee and vegetable soup, which were delicious. On our way back the guide kindly dropped us off at our house away we weren't staying in the town centre. Although this was a long evening (got back at 2am) it is really worth it.

Amazing experience with this family company. We saw a lot of orcas and whales. There are very warm outfits available for free on the boat and the food was very good. Thanks for all ❤️

We booked for the fishing trip and then switched over to the midnight sun trip but still got an opportunity to fish. It was excellent. Caught 5 cod and one haddock! The crew were very friendly and helpful when it came to the fishing part of the trip (they also supplemented the equipment). The views were magnificent and very different from watching it from the shorelines. Definitely not something to miss out on!
