Not only a fish shop but also a small restaurant with very good and fresh fish, amazing taste and better prices compared to all the other restaurants around. We truly enjoyed the fish‘n chips and fresh shrimps. With a try! (Only the wine, even just a glass, is extremely expensive at 16 EUR. So better stick to the free water.)

This place is an absolute gem and a must-go if you visit Tromso. The smoked fish platter was some of the best fish I've ever tasted and the fish and chips set a new standard for me.

The last fish store in the centre of the Arctic capital and it is no surprise that they survived! Here you can buy a great selection of fresh seafood, as well as masterfully smoked fish and whale. However Dragøy is not only a fish store but also a restaurant! We had the whale burger, the crab burger and homemade fish cakes with fries for the smallest one. The service was fast and friendly, the food cheap for Norwegian standards but of exquisite quality and with a proper portion size. The only possible improvement to this otherwise perfect place would be to add some vegetables to the children's menu. We'll definitely be back!

Had the fish and chips and the other reviews are telling the TRUTH that battered cod will send you to heaven! The chips though were a little under seasoned for my liking but to each their own. Would definitely also check out the fish soup and shrimp dishes next time. Great views towards the bay in the dining area too.

Came with my wife and order the fish and chips and crab cake burger. The Fish and chips was good. The Crab cake burger was disappointing, there was not much crab in it nor can I really taste it. The side of fries was crispy and good. The staff was nice and friendly.

You know that moment when the food critic in Ratatouille has one bite and teleports into a food memory? Yeah this was that. One bite of the fish & chips and I felt like I was back at the beach with friends during summer vacation. That had to be the freshest fried fish I’ve ever had. I devoured the entire hefty portion and most of the fries. Fries were decent but honestly the fish took center stage. I enjoyed sitting outside by the waterfront (blazing hot sun directly overhead btw, no outside cover) If eating outside, you have to select your table first and then tell the counter your table number. 🐟

Great place to dine in, must come early to avoid long queue. Seafood is fresh and tasty. Service is excellent too. Just that there was a couple of bones found in the salmon sashimi. Hope to return again to try the other items.

Very fresh and many very nice smoked/cured fish. Had the fish and chips and smoked salmon, cured halibut and cured whale. The taste is quite different that it's not very overpowering salty taste nor there was any fishy smells. Cured whale tastes similar to eating beef texture but fish taste. Fish and chips was came with some pickles which balances everything and refreshes your taste buds. Better with oberal taste than British fish and chips? 😄 Note the extra cost if you are planning to eat the cured foods at their tables, it's fine if you purchase their menu and get some cured products, just let the staff know. Price is quite affordable for a few hundred grams of their cured things.

5/5 for value: very big portion and generous. 5/5 for food freshness. And the fish and chips is so crunchy and fresh. Full of fish meat. Salmon sashimi is great and fresh. 5/5 for service.

We stopped buy for dinner and was the best. We had fish and chips and I have to say it was the best fish we ever had. So fresh and tasty. Smoked fish platter has different kind of fish on and it is also delicious. Price wasn't too bad. We had these two dishes plus beer and cider and paid just something over £50.

We went there late afternoon on Saturday which isn't ideal for a fish market but the staff was very helpful explaining the remaining choices. Burger and fish platter were excellent, big portions and decent price. Very pleasant service, they also accommodated a change on the platter.

Good service and tasty fried fresh norwegian pollock fish. The only suggestion I have is to have an unspiced french fries option and mayo and ketchup as well. Strongly recommend the fried fish though👌

Hidden gem! Excellent! Went there with no planning and no expectations and had the best meal so far on the trip! Smoked fish platter was delicious. Huge variety of fish with very tasty bread. White wine was perfectly chilled. Based on the good experience we decided to try crab burger. It was delish - well cooked with a little hint of chilli. Food was fresh and good quality. Highly recommend. Best value for money so far. Staff were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( 5 stars). Thank you! You made my day!

Actually the quality of the fish and chips is very good, however just 1 star as it is expensive already, and they give you waay too little sauce with it. When you ask for a bit more they tell you you can buy extra at the price of 2€ for a super small cup! When you ask 20€ for fish and chips, i expect you give enough sauce with it. Charging when asked for a bit more, is just a straight forward rip-off.

Ordered southern Indian fish soup, cod fish burger and oysters on the rock. Great tasting and fresh seafood. Where we are from in Singapore, Indian food tends to be on the heavier tasting side. This soup was tasty yet subtle so it was refreshing. Cod fish burger is also tender. Would recommend for the food and freshness.

We ordered the salmon sashimi and scallops. Both were really fresh. The whale burger was out of stock so that was a bit sad. The only thing is that its a bit too expensive (close to 500NOK). But then again what is not expensive in Norway 🥲

Great fish and chips! Several other options on the menu, plus fresh seafood to purchase for home

Fresh seafood with amazing views of the sea and mountains 👍 We had the Grilled Scallops and the Artic Kingcrab Platter. The Kingcrab was pricey but worth it - as it was so fresh and delicious (the way it was cooked and served left it full of sweet juicy crabmeat within its shell)! Staff behind the counter were friendly and helpful 😊 Hot drinks option was limited to coffee.
