It’s a really big, clean mall. I really enjoy to visit my favorite shops like Twenty21, ZARA, Victoria Secret, H&M. I used to live in Europe and I still can’t do shopping online! So this place saves me!!

I had some time to kill, and spent a few hours at Oakland Mall. Growing up, in the 70's & 80's, going to the Mall was always a great time. This was before everyone having a cell phone, so walking around a mall was all about the "visual". There is a lot to see at Oakland Mall (and some good deals too). I would recommend, if you have some free time, stop by and take a stroll.

I enjoyed going to Oakland Mall to shop for Christmas for my granddaughter and myself. We start a new tradition this year.

I went out to Oakland mall so i could go to the shoe depot, i found me 2 pair of shoes and the price was right.👍🏼 Then i went over to Macy's store and found a nice pair of shoes over there and the price was right , that trip was worth the drive.👍🏼

Coming here bring back some of my most happiest childhood memories I remember being so happy every time my family bring me here when I was little I would come back home with movies and toys and would have a blast. Unfortunately it is just not the same yes everything is still there but not as much people go there and a lot of the places are not doing well and some have even shut down it's quite a sad sight to see since the mall was one of the most fun places to go back in my time. I would still recommend going there just to have some fun times and make some great memories with friends or family.

I thought the Easter Photo Set went rather well this year. People need to understand that it used to be "Good Help" was hard to find. Unfortunately, now day "any" help is hard to find, let alone good help. Oakland Mall and their visitors should be "Thankful" to have employees on the Easter set. Yes, they have been slow and not giving it their all, but they worked to get as many customers as possible through their very long line. A GREAT job to the Easter Bunny & Helpers. Happy EASTER!

Was in Bath and Body Works, they were very helpful, considerate and nice. The shower gel I wanted was on sale, the other ,same ones, rang up higher, manager made it right, all were on sale for my purchase. She did the right thing, I didn't need to ask❤️

I've been going to Snap workouts for 3+ years now and it never gets old!! Every workout you leave feeling accomplished! I started going to this new studio when it opened in January. The staff is very friendly and the studio is always clean. It's also really easy to schedule and get into the classes! I love everything about Snap

One of my favorite malls in Detroit! only thing is the employees at Sbarro pizza one in particular the young 16 year old girl, is very rude to people and coworkers of different races! She belittles the staff ESPECIALLY the staff with broken english and African American male! She will touch money and play in her hair and try to pack your pizza in a box , all with out gloves or washing her hands and with out a hair net! I had two encounters with her nasty rude customer service and work ethics! She needs to be trained on customer service and culture diversity ASAP! She is a bad look for the mall and Sbarro pizza. she works the afternoon ( after school) hours! WILL NOT GO BACK!

Enjoyed going to the Oakland Mall for the Choco Town Immersion experience. The immersion was a great chocolate tasting and learning experience. Highly recommended for children and family activities.

Oakland mall has definitely seen better days. In the age of online shopping, many of the stores have closed. So the once full and busy mall is now, deserted and empty. Many of the smaller shops have closed leaving major stores. Which many consumers bypass and just enter in the stores entrance and avoid enter the main mall. “TV killed the radio “

I'm not a Macy's fan because they aren't handicap friendly. There isles are too close together. Even if you bring your own 4 wheel walker it's hard getting around. I usually get tired and frustrated and leave. But I do love this mall because they have places you can sit and take a break when you need it.

I thought the mall very clean, nicer than Lakeside and Twelve Oaks. Macy's is beautiful and the workers keep it neat and organized, very impressive. Everyone was polite and helpful.

I have been a loyal customer that has spent lots of dollars @ JCP for them to treat me like I was nothing and not honor my protection plan or return an item i have been trying to get taken care of since July No one answered the phone and getting to the store during a pandemic was not taken into consideration. Guess what I still purchased items from jewelry anyway. Pearl necklace and ring

My husband and I live close to Oakland Mall and we walk in morning from 10am to 11am so we can exercise and not worry about the elements...the Mall is so nice and clean and not many people during that time...we like to shop a bit afterwards and that's convenient...we get concerned when we pass some store fronts not in use...hope they fill in...its a wonderful Mall!!!

Mall wasn't as crowded and many stores have closed, but stores that were still operating had a lot of clothing etc.. to offer. Troy police surveillance the parking lot to ensure safety.

Very nice shopping area, only thing I didn't like is the wearing of masks didn't seem to be enforced. I was taking a picture of my little girl in one of the cute little stroller cars...which you can pay to rent while you're there. A lady came up, unmasked trying to get her to smile, as I was. Some nerve right...she looked sane...didn't act as though she knew we were still in the midst of a pandemic...strange

The only mall close to me. I’ve had so many bad experiences. There’s a ton of creepy old men who sit in the middle and stare at all the young girls, ALWAYS. They’re always there. When I was 15, I was almost kidnapped here. I noticed I was being followed and circled in, I went up to MULTIPLE employees and nobody helped me or believed me!! Thankfully an undercover security guard noticed and wound up saving my life. I will never go here without a group of people, and I will not bring my kids here as it is not safe.

It seemed a lot different than years ago.. Still has a good amount of stores and some places to eat or snack. The one thing, HARDLY ANYONE HAD ON 😷🎭😷 MASKS, INCLUDING EMPLOYEES. GHOST TOWN TODAY BUT THIS MIGHT BE THE NEW NORM..I haven't been here in a many years. I was gps'd there by mistake looking for Snipes, outside of a mall though. A few bargains, looks the same as years ago, just not crowded at all around 4 pm. No long pauses or waiting in lines / or for service. I think it might survive what North*** and East*** unfortunately succumbed to. Happy Shopping to those who still enjoy malls. Try it out..still a good mall.

Disappointing and unsuccessful. The first floor of Macy's did not have the shoes that I was looking for. Not a lot of pumps in display for corp work office wear. Not even on the racks. I'm very unhappy coming all that way from Oak Park and Southfield area. Nothing like what they have on line but I don't have time as my new job opportunity starts next week. I like to try them on. No Mary Jane shoes in that style at all.

Malls just aren't the same nowadays!! When I was younger the malls use to be packed with lots of people. Now its like a ghost town in there. They don't even really have good stores in them anymore. Are they even making money? How can they afford to still be open?? Amazon and online ordering basically killed the whole shopping at the mall thing if u ask me.

My awesome girl who cleans the food court; the terrific couple who gift wraps and runs Athemu; my JCP Salon besties Nyree and Ken; Hope @ JCP Optical etc.--- all 100% priceless. And I already love Mario K., our friendly new owner. Like the old song... "Sometimes I wanna go where everyone knows my name..." this is my happy place! Love me some Oakland Mall. Period!

It's a shame malls are closing down. I like feeling the material of my clothes, being able to try them on especially shoes. No Amazon clothes shopping here. Support your local stores !

I was really surprised at how nice it still is. Sears and JCPenny are gone but Macy's is still moving on AND the other stores are still good. Food court is limited but has some good choices.

Needed a suit. Found a nice one at Macy's. Kinda surprised by the limited selection and staffing shortage. But then, I did find a suit.

At home prices and quality of pillows outdoor furniture and selection was outrageous. Did find two throws for couch reasonably priced after searching through lots of cheap low quality merchandise. Rude customers that think covid doesn't exist anymore getting in my face getting right beside me and it wasn't even busy. The best thing about this store was their pictures in canvases. Big selection in great prices. Don't waste your time unless that's what you're looking for!

Use to love going to the mall, especially during Christmas season with their beautiful decorations and events. Unfortunately people now are lazy and prefer to buy things online instead of supporting local businesses. I hope this mall doesn't close down as some stores in it already have.

This mall has always been an important staple in my life. I had a lot of first times here and found a lot of my own personal style within it’s doors. So it’s sad that it’s been in this stagnant, unfinished phase for so long. The goes on to TikTok and brags about the new things coming, but I’ve yet to see the promised changes. I’m looking forward to the rebirth of this great spot. I just hope it happens before I’m too old to still enjoy it.

Would LOVE to see a Ross department store at this mall. Since we have a new owner maybe they will put one in. I was in one in Chicago and loved it. Please consider this.

I have not been to Oakland Mall in years. And honestly I was pleasantly surprised by the large amount of variety for men and women's clothing including shoes and boots at Macy's and JCPenney. They had so many clothes and so many sales. The mall still pretty much look the same except for a few improvements but I really enjoyed JCPenney and Macy's!

You can do so much here, I got some oils then shopping then sat and ate me and my beautiful daughter yes, I gave her some money to buy oils we spend 100.00 on oils and we smell so good yes go beautiful place everything you want and more blessings!

Wasn't too bad but still wasn't my favorite visit. Only reason I ended up there is because another place close by was closed down for good. Ended up settling on Chili's because I was starving. Food was decent, our server was really nice and prices were reasonable too.

Wasn’t interested in shopping this close to Christmas in a mall but the experience was nice. So happy to see the Heidi D Beauty Club coming soon!!! 💗 A lot of the stores that were vacant are occupied! I’m glad things are changing for Oakland Mall!!!

I can tell they're working on improving everything here but it still has a ways to go. Still has that Summit Place mall feel.. Love a stroll around every other week or so regardless

The new owner is awesome! He has made many great changes to Oakland Mall. He is very innovative and is going to continue to improve the mall experience.

Wonderful shopping mall / Center. Atmosphere was great plenty of stores to shop can't go wrong. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back soon

bless my best friend's heart she helped me out with buying Christmas presents for my grandchildren she did it online at JCPenney when I showed up there that lady at the door named Chrissy greeting me and helping me find the pickup place was able to get the Christmas presents for my grandchildren and all was well I love JCPenney

Not my choice of malls in the area. As far as the establishment itself all I can say is it’s clean-ish. Well lit. Full of stores. There’s security walking around and well maintained decor. Parking lot could use a fresh coat of everything. The clientele is trashy, loud, and uninviting. Not necessarily the malls fault but it’s definitely a place I make sure my car is locked twice. I probably wouldn’t visit this mall again just based on the clientele alone. If you’re new to the area go to somerset.

Not many stores that appeal to a younger audience, no GameStop, no place except FYE, which carries the whole place. Get a GameStop and could be a 4/5 or maybe even a 5/5

Went to purchase jewelry for my friends wedding. Although she found the perfect necklace and earrings to match her dress the customer service sucked! The 3 stars are for the jewelry only.

Despite all the warnings that it had "changed" since when I was younger, I was quite pleased when I got back there for the first time in at least a decade. The pet store was particularly a treat, with a friendly staff and gorgeous dogs of various breeds. We got the chance to play with a couple in a private room and my kids had the time of their lives. I have a feeling we will be going back to purchase a puppy soon.

Been shopping here since I was a teen it's definitely different but still nice the Starbucks is great the bath and body works is incredible I like the Hot Topic and Macy's I love to go buy my perfumes and clothing I wish there more stores like Torrid or five below tho but overall I recommend

Was at forever 21 today when one of the store managers (male) had an altercation with a female over a return. He then followed her out the store into the mall while on the phone describing what she was wearing to someone on the phone while yelling “I’m gonna show you who’s an asshole” 👀 and before that was arguing with two other females about how they can’t pay separately or they have to go to the back of the line. Will never be back here again 🤦‍♀️

Oakland mall is very good. It has a good location. You can find everything from designer/upscale stores to affordable ones as well. Mall itself is pretty neat and clean. Has a huge parking area, even for Black Friday crowds. Area is very secure and well-lit for night time use 👍

This place is admittedly not what it was back in the day, BUT it’s not near as bad as I thought it would be. I’m actually floored that Macy’s is still there. This particular location is an all-time favorite of mine due to the Hudson’s/Marshall Fields aesthetics of it. You don’t see large department stores like that much anymore still open. The mall itself actually is very clean and spacious with lots of independent shops plus national chains. I think if they continue to take care of this place, the mall should stick for a little longer. Solid B mall!

This mall was starting to get pretty sad and empty. Since the new owner has been there, it's starting to pick back up with people and new stores. I can't wait until all the stores are filled. Looks like there's going to be some cool places coming soon.

I gave 5 stars for the Golden Chicken restaurant in the food court 😋the Chicken pita is the best Chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life , the spices and sauce are next level, and leave the best after taste , leaving you wanting more . I live 6 hours from this place and any chance I can I stop and buy a bunch of sandwiches, the chicken is grilled fresh right in front of you 😋 I would give it more stars if I could

Good Macy's and H&M. The bad thing is there's no restaurants to sit and have lunch or dinner. It definitely could use more food and drink options and clothing stores too.

Went to JC Penney and found some good values. Only down side was a guy walking into the women's dressing room.....later identified as a "worker". Seems out of line to just walk in as my wife was trying on tops and not to announce his presence!

I love Macy's,' because they are always ready to help. Their personnel are always very attentive to my needs. My purchase was a success, it wasn't return.

The shopping mall was really big and has a lot of options. Really enjoy it with my family. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Facilities like the comfort rooms was clean and tidy. Will always comeback to shop here for my daily needs.
