Good park for playing different games. Soccer, American Football, vollyball, baseball. Nice grounds. Disc golf lovers have very nice golf course. Good children playing area. Ample parking. Only issue is not good trail for walk. Good picknic sheds. Restroom are available.

This is such an underrated park. It has many mature trees for shade, huge fields, a playground (with a special needs swing!), a great disc golf course, and plenty of trails to walk! My family and I love coming to Firefighters Park. ❤️

Several soccer fields, usually dominated by club soccer, but sometimes you'll see large families playing there. Dogs do roam around without leashes with their owners not, in particularly, caring. There is a playground there and it's large and "creative" enough for several children-filled-families to play in. There is a disc golf course in which you should be careful around; like driving, check left and right before crossing the bridge above the creek. There are lakes; do not fish there as it's a wildlife preserve. Some deer may appear. You can also rent the venue there; already has a trash bin and a road for cars to backup on to unload some stuff.

Nice park area for kids, volleyball, disc golf, etc. I played a round of disc golf here and it's a nice course with plenty of variety (long, short, backhand, forehand, open, technical etc). Lots of open grass area for the kids to play as well.

I love this park, me and my buddies play soccer here. There is always sports events happening and a lot of other private sports league. The fields are always clean and the restrooms are always clean as well. Tons of parking spaces and a perfect place for a good run, cycling and walking dogs. Also a perfect place for kids to play and run around.

Nice 18 hole disc golf course. Couple ponds and creeks to fish. My kids enjoy the playground every time we go.

I go to the park to play disc golf on a pretty regular basis...it's an 18 hole course, plays pretty short, and is popular for everyone in the area...it also has gazebos for get-togethers, 2 volleyball courts, and a walking trail...also has a public indoor bathroom that is kept up pretty well.

Great park and great way to honor our Firefighters! My only reasoning for not giving it a full 5 stars is when I do go their its only with my son, often people don't keep their dogs on leash and this is more on the people who frequent the park than the park itself. Idea to make it even more Firefighter related would be to add a splash pad for the Fire Truck area. My son loves firefighter anything and thought of this on his own.

I live roughly a mile from Firefighters Park and it's our go-to with our 3 young children. The playground, albeit small, has a nice variety of things to play on and a number of swings. I'm also an avid disc golfer and enjoy the 18 hole course. It has a nice mix of short and long holes (all Par 3) and plenty of hazards (but still good for beginners). There is an organized league during the summer but the course is always open (dawn to dusk) and free to play. The soccer and football fields are well organized and often in use for a variety of organized and pick-up sports. I run a pickup ultimate (frisbee) ground that has been playing on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm during the summers for the past 13 years. Feel free to drop in and join us! Although I haven't had a chance to fish yet I hear there are a nice number and variety of fish in the pond. Bring a pole and try your luck!

The kids play area is bey nicely structured. Kids and adults can find multiple play areas to play and have fun. Their picnic shelter is also well maintained, the park staff constantly keep it clean. Disc golf is another freebie for the sports enthusiasts. Soccer fields with multiple goal posts are available for games. Restrooms are clean.

A medium sized park with plenty of sports space (volleyball, soccer, disc golf) and a small pond for fishing! It’s also a good place for just walking around and relaxing.

Had no idea how nice this disc golf course is. The park itself is huge but I came for disc golf. Beautiful course. Almost impossible to lose a disc. Lots of shorter holes, around 250'. Really enjoyed it, my favorite in the area. Prepare for crowds though, it's clearly popular.

Dogs with no leash everywhere you look. Took my 3 year old son to kick around a soccer ball and a large (unleashed) black lab ran from literally hundreds of feet away from it's owner and lunged at my son. I had to scoop him up and hold him high off the ground in my arms until the owner casually walked up as though it was no big deal. Leash laws exist for a reason but apparently the people at this park don't care. It wasn't just this one dog either. We saw four _other_ dogs running around without leashes from when we parked in the parking lot. These parks are for everyone to enjoy: it's not a dog park.

This is my home course. Close enough, well maintained, challenging but not hard for the sake of hard. Finished even today, gave me warm feels.

Its a park. Not much more to it. Has fun playground equipment but its not the coolest place ever.

  • 5/5 Matthew D. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent park. The disc golf course is very good. The course is not very difficult and is a great spot for newer players. Also, the course is great for practicing accuracy and testing new discs.

  • 4/5 John L. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice park. There swings and outdoor gym area, Frisbee area, lots of soccer fields, a pond like area and walking trails . This is a well managed place.

  • 5/5 Jeremy B. 1 year ago on Google
Well groomed multi-destination park with restrooms. I had a lot of fun on the disc golf course. The mowers happened to be out, yet they yielded to all players. Very nice of them.

  • 5/5 Sean B. 1 year ago on Google
A fun and slightly challenging disk golf course. The 18 holes are a wide range of throws making for some exciting rounds.

  • 5/5 Wendy B. 1 year ago on Google
As an visitor looking for a place to walk a pair of dogs this place was a wonderful surprise. Not the biggest but plenty of room to stretch 10 legs.

  • 5/5 Cassandra D. 1 year ago on Google

  • 5/5 Amy M. 1 year ago on Google
Huge park!! Lots of space to walk your dogs and run around. Love to see the park being used by so many people instead of so many other city parks that sit mostly empty

  • 5/5 Krystal & Justin T. 6 months ago on Google • 10 reviews
Disc course is very open and well kept. Has everything you could ask for from a park. Full 18 hole course, trails, pins to fish, soccer and football fields. And the memorial site is beautiful!! It's almost an hour from home, but we'll worth the drive!!

Nice 18 hole disc golf course

  • 3/5 DL H. 3 years ago on Google
Firefighters Park is a perfect example of a well planned and well used city park. All of the amenities mentioned by others are heavily populated almost every day of the week. I play disc golf here, mostly. But, there are lots of other things available such that a family can make a day of it. The golf course, specifically, gets quite muddy in the spring, dress accordingly!

One of the best parks in Troy

  • 4/5 Jacob D. 3 years ago on Google
Great park, lots of space and separated areas for various activities. The disc golf course has a nice spread of terrain types and obstacles adding variety to the game, some of the floght paths are close together and feel like they overlap/cross over with others within holes #7-17, still a favorite course of mine.

  • 3/5 Greg J. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice fields and a great park but the playscape area could use a lot of help.

    Disc golf gold

  • 5/5 Nathan H. 3 years ago on Google
Great park with a beautiful disc golf course. There are some tricky shots but not a big chance of losing your disc. In the fall you call sometimes lose a disc in the leaves. Otherwise, probably my new favorite course.

Lovely place with so much space to do anything. Volleyball courts are high quality but missing boundaries. I saw a muskrat in the pond too so that's pretty cool.

Large area to walk and enjoy nature with a lake, stream, playground, swings, bathrooms, picnic tables, beautiful disc golf course, baseball diamond and, soccer fields. Fields can get a bit muddy & windy due to how open they are. Well kept grounds overall though. Concession stand when soccer is in season.

👍 I've been a park visitor since the 1970s. That must mean something. City of Troy did what they typically do, and ruin anything that is good. They closed the way the road was meant to be traveled and diverted it in the opposite direction. The roads in the park are atrocious and should be a embarrassm...
