Always a go-to. Consistently great food. Coconut shrimp are THE BEST around… frozen drinks are amazing too! I’ve had just about everything on the menu and can’t complain about a single thing. Update: they have a good happy hour menu, unfortunately the food wasn’t perfect as usual, but still worth the happy hour price.

I'm so disgusted by Bahama Breeze. We literally had BUG EGGS in my salad. They barely cared at all. We've had so many disappointing experiences the last few times, they've mixed up our carryout orders, they've missed things altogether in our carryout, they've tried to double charge our meals, we've had long waits, the food quality has gone way down and prices way up. This was the last straw, unfortunately as much as we love their dressings bug eggs is not okay.

First time eating here . Had a great time. The food and drinks here are amazing . They even have virgin drinks for folks who don't like drinks. The atmosphere here is great . The decor is a great sight as well . Great place to eat. I will return

I went here for the first time since before Covid over the weekend. The food was very flavorful. 3 out of 4 of us liked our meal. We each ordered one alcoholic beverage with an entree and we shared 2 appetizers and ordered a dessert for a birthday we were celebrating which was not on the house. Before tip the bill was a little over $150. The atmosphere was nice. My veggie burger was excellent. The drinks for were festive. Our server didn’t refill our waters once and took our waters before bringing out the dessert that we requested due to a nut allergy to have no almonds and a candle, they had to take it back, scrape it off and bring it back which took a long time, bringing 2 spoons for 4 people. I would go back during happy hour with another person. I don’t recommend the appetizers or dessert. The food is all very sweet and some unexpectedly spicy so ask if you have an aversion to either flavorings.

I took myself out for a birthday lunch here and I will never forget it. The staff is absolutely incredible and sweet. When I came in there was only one other table so it was very relaxing to just listen to the island style music and take in the views. The palm trees are my favorite! Ordering is easy they have cool iPad-like screens that send your order back to the kitchen but my waitress just came over and helped me instead. Which was really cool and she gave some great recommendations. When she found out is was my birthday she let the staff know and they surprised me with a special treat. I was completely blown away! As far as the food and drink: I loved the conch fritters and the big delicious pineapple cocktail! I am excited to come back and try the coconut shrimp. Also-Lily thank you for giving me the best service ever. You are a gem and thank you for making my birthday special. Bahama Breeze should be proud!

Good food and good vibes!! Our waitress, Nikki, was awesome!! She was personable, attentive, and did a phenominal job with our group of 20 people! The food was brought out when it was ready, so it was hot! There was a few hiccups with the drinks, but she fixed them promptly!!

Kids meal sliders were cute, and we were happy there was no age restriction on ordering it. Service and atmosphere is always great here! Definitely a beautiful island getaway in troy😂❤️ … jerk chicken wings are forever the best thing on the menu… sad they changed the recipe a few years ago… used to be COVERED with a beautiful crust of crunchy spices 😍🤤 I wish we sat near the fire outside because we were both a bit warm inside to be honest. Nothing truly bad to say at all! Even the coffee at the end was fresh and good❤️

Everything in that restaurant was filthy. It's not the kind of dirty that they were really busy & they'll "get to it", but the kind of dirty that they really haven't cleaned in months kinda not clean. From the floors, my fork, menus, the bathrooms, but worst of all my booth they sat us at. It was caked in a thick layer of dust, old food, and grease, and who knows if someone with Covid sat there because it was clear it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The kitchen is semi-open from the dining area and I never once saw anyone wash their hands. Even our waitress, who is their bartender, picked up my water glass and touched it to the rim of the water pitcher. So who else’s glass did it touch before mine?

Bahama Breeze has been in Troy for a while, but if you haven’t been in a while, you should definitely treat yourself. The drinks are delightful and the food is simply amazing. All my kudos to the chef here! The veggies are perfectly cooked in every dish. The seafood was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better dinner and may have found our new favorite restaurant!

Food I would rate as okay, chicken was too salty and sweet at the same time. Did not like the sides that came with the grilled chicken. Beef appetizer and drinks were good. However, my biggest issue was the waiter we had, I think his name was Thomas. He definitely needs more training asap. I never felt uncomfortable in a restaurant as I did today. Lack of communication skills and not being friendly with a high dose of awkwardness is not good for a waiter. I asked about two items on the menu, and his response was "this one is deep fried but this one is grilled" while looking at me, referring to its not healthy. Another issue is that we ordered 2 kids burger sliders and he brought 2 chicken finger meals, him and another waiter began arguing and pointing at our table as if it was my mistake. Just a really bad experience overall. Will not go back again

Let me start by saying that meal is excellent. My four-person group began with the yuca cheese sticks and the beef empanadas. It was quite remarkable. After this, we had cocktails. I had a fantastic pineapple coconut margarita. for starters.. I also had the jerk chicken pineapple bowl, which was excellent, but there was a significant serving flaw, in my opinion. Although the service could have been better, they made an effort. Birthdays are not celebrated there, and we weren't really checked on all that often.

Island inspired food by Americans...I guess they tried. Its decent but don't compare them to traditional jamaican/Caribbean restaurants in southeast Michigan or you'd be disappointed or just don't know better. The drinks are nice & sugary😊 the jerk chicken pasta is good.

This is our go-to place when we can’t decide on a restaurant. Have been here multiple times, just for the food - the chicken wings are just amazing! Even the cocktails are pretty good.

Went to this location for the first time to celebrate my and my friend's birthday. Servers Lily and Anastasia were fantastic! Everyone were so accomadating, friendly, fast! The food was waaaaay better than I remembered it when I went to this restaurant years ago so I came back for Happy Hour the next day with my husband. Highly recommend anything with plaintains and shrimp, the empanadas!!! Amazing. Felt like I was back in Jamaica! Only thing is the restaurant is dark inside, wish it was more airy and brighter so it could feel like the Carribean.

Do not sleep on Bahama Breeze! Especially for lunch! I’m honestly shocked that it wasn’t busier here for lunch (on a Friday)… as soon as you walk in it’s warm and inviting, and it feels like you’ve escaped the Michigan cold and snow and are on an island. They have reggae music and island beats playing, and it feels like vacation. There are also several different sections and areas of the restaurant depending on where you want to sit, and a large bar. Our server, I believe her name was Shantel (I’m sorry if I got it wrong!) was phenomenal - couldn’t have asked for better service. She was awesome. The food was delicious. I got the pineapple jerk chicken bowl and I will definitely be back to have it again. The sauce was the perfect flavor, and not too sweet. The ratio of chicken to veggies to pineapple to rice was exactly how I would have made it if I did at home… just perfect. My mom got a salad and the island vinaigrette was sooo good! They even have the recipe on the website. She also got the honey buttermilk chicken sandwich and loved it. Between the food, the vibes, the music, and the staff… A+. We will definitely be back!

Very impressed of appetizer and meal. Chicken had a little burn on its skin. One thing, one of waiters needs to fix her attitude and respect our decision to pick a table. Our waiter was so amazing and patient!

The jersey wings and beef empanadas were to die for!! The spices blended perfectly with each meal and delivered a taste similar to other Jamaican spots I've been. I highly recommend if you are into carribean meals.

I pre-ordered online and arrived a little before the designated time. However I got my food a half hour after that. Not only was the food late, but they ran out of one item and didn't have a cap for the to-go drink. The food that was available was very good and I reccomend that. My word to management would be to have better connection between the website and location, so when food runs out, it's not an option online. When you order a certain way in order to have just the right amount of food, being out of something can really throw off an otherwise great meal.

My experience. We got there and the seat was dirty. So we stood there awkwardly in the way until someone came to clean it. Not too bad. The waitress took pretty long to come greet us and take our drink order. The appetizer took pretty long to come out. But maybe it was because the waitress was catering to the other table. She was sitting at the table talking to them and giving them shots of alcohol and chatting. They were “out of” beef empanadas which tells me that they come frozen and not fresh. The entree that I ordered was pretty tasty but just not enough food compared to the price. But maybe I paid for the presentation. It was the pineapple bowl. This was my experience and yours may differ.

First time here, I enjoyed the aesthetic. We were seated in the back where live entertainment would be as well as a good view to look out at. The drinks were not crazy expensive, but what we had was very very delicious. The service was polite, not crowding and informative. The food takes a bit, but the appetizers make up for that. I chose the Jerk chicken salad which was full of flavour, not spicy, and not salty. You can get fresh grated parm on top. I recommend stopping by for a nice bite and for drinks that can cool you off or keep you warm. Will be back.

Just ok. We were a party of 8 on a busy night so I understand the long wait times. They did accommodate us somewhat quickly. Lots of mistakes were made with our waitress, An appetizer was forgotten, 2 dinners were taken by another server so 2 of our group members had to wait, while everyone else had their food, then it took 40 minutes to sort out the bills even though we literally told our waitress 3 different times and she wrote everything down and I even wrote it down for her. Just not pleasant. Food was good but nothing spectacular obviously. Just ok..

I had a pretty disappointing experience here... the staff was friendly at least. I took a bite of the salmon I ordered and I could literally not eat for 1/2 an hour at least bc my tounge was badly burned. I was not told the salmon was spicy. They fixed my order which was very nice, the salmon tasted great 45 minutes later without the very very very hot sauce that it was cooked on it the first time. The coconut shrimp was great as well. The seafood soup was brought out, I couldn't eat it right away bc my tounge was on fire for at least a half hour, the soup separated and tasted disgusting at that point... some good, some bad but overall I will take my service elsewhere unfortunately.

My first experience and I enjoyed the aesthetic. We were seated in the back with the fireplace it was a nice vibe and made things cozy. We were able to watch the UMichigan game which made the guys happy. The drinks were really good and not expensive. The service was polite, not crowding and informative. The food takes a bit, but we had appetizers and were watching the game so we didn’t notice. I chose the Caribbean Red Snapper which was cooked well. I recommend stopping by for a nice vibe, meal, and for drinks. Will be back.

Food is alright, nothing special. Service was fine. Seafood paella was fine. They must of taken the dish straight from the ocean because it was way too salty. Besides that, there wasn’t too much flavor to it. I found bits of shell in it (I assume it was mussel), which I don’t think was supposed to be in it. Burger and fries, coconut shrimp, and tacos were average. Nothing astounding here, just food. Overall: 7.1/10

Absolutely love this place! Giving me tropical vibes before my Caribbean vacay. Usually restaurants advertise the Caribbean ambiance, food, and drink then fall short. Not the case here! All excellent! Service was great. Can't wait to go back!
