Lately this place has been smelling foul AF in the mornings. Someone is not taking out the garbage. I felt like throwing up smelling this order. Not a pleasant experience at all. Do better PF!

I have been going here on and off for the past year as someone else’s guest. This place is fairly clean and the equipment is in good shape. The employees are all friendly and they host a pizza night once a month to celebrate the accomplishments of its members. There’s tons of parking outside and in the surrounding area. The inside is big and spacious so you never feel like you are overwhelmed by the presence of others. Everyone’s respectful and customer service is on point. I wish there were windows all around to let natural light in. It’s kind of depressing having fluorescent lighting without some sunlight.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I went in and signed up. Lady at the counter told me when I come in next they would need to take my picture I said ok. I go into today and the guy at the counter said I had to have my ID so I couldn't workout unless I brought it in. I was not told this. Very upset. Horrible customer service even from the "General Manager". The correct way to deal with this should have asked me to verify information on my account and ask me to bring it in next time. So I canceled my membership and my husband did as well bc we want to work out together. On top of that when my husband was there 2 weeks ago there was no toliet paper in the men's bathroom when he asked at the desk they said they are working on getting some in.

Hardly, but friendly enough. But when you join with a black card, to go anywhere to any location…and it’s a waste of your time? No thanks. Sorry kiddo working tonight, no person in their right mind is going tanning for just under 3 mins. It takes longer than that to cover your whole body in lotions. Thanks for making something I was looking forward to after a ten hour shift on my feet, a complete waste of time.

This entire company is a complete joke. To even call themselves a company is fallacy. There is zero help with my situation from the "GM" and they are playing the ignore game thinking I will just go away from the issues at hand and that I will just stop pursuing the correct answers that need to be made. Im sure they have no problem answering calls about people joining and getting their money but when they have to do the right thing and it may cost them a little money to take care of a customer they avoid it at all cost. In the meantime I recommend spending a little more money and going to Power house right down the road on Mound road if you want a place of business to handle things correctly. if you ever come into an issue here and think they will take care of you think again. If you're in a contract now, cancel it, if you plan on joining you're making a mistake. If Planet Fitness wants to reach out to me they have my info they know what this pertains to.

I absolutely love the employees, always there to help! They are appreciated, they are 5 stars!! One complaint which I never complain. The 14 mile location in Troy, the temperature is so dang HOT. I mean sweaty hot as soon as you walk in. That to me is not safe for the workers nor the members. I had inquired to see what the temperature read it was 77 degress in the building. What? I now try to avoid going to that location. Can that please get looked into.

I am editing my review because the issue i had previously has been resolved by an upper management person named Amy. I generally don’t do reviews but since i did this one i wanted to update it to reflect the 5 stars i would have otherwise given and to say thank you. I actually love this place.

Standard Planet Fitness. Nice staff, low stress environment, clean. Gets a little busy around 5/6pm when everyone's getting off work, but it's still not too bad. Seems like there's always 1 or 2 machines that are out of commission, but they pretty much have at least 2 of everything.

Went in there today and it absolutely Reeked. It smelt so bad. I get it, it's a gym. But it should not smell that bad. Do better planet fitness

I am not happy with this place... I set up for automatic withdrawals to come out of my account every month on the 17th. However, my payment was subtracted from my account on the 16th. This is exactly what happen several years ago before I left Planet Fitness. It started with one day and went on to up to three days prior. Yesterday, I spoke with Dee who said that he was the district manager and would look into the situation and call me back yesterday, but he never did. He also told me to waste my time to come in and prove to him that the payment was removed. I am looking for a new membership as soon as I get off of this post!!!

I’ve been coming here for the last four months 4-5 days a week and I’ve loved the entire experience. The equipment is up to date, the staff is always friendly and attentive. They keep it clean and presentable at all times. This is my home club and I love it here. I just used the massage chair & hydro massage for the first time yesterday and I can’t believe how much they improved from ten years ago. They look brand new and are an amazing addition to their club before or after a workout. Keep up the good work Edited: to add it was really hot in there Wednesday night. I’m here today and it’s MUCH cooler and it’s much better when it isn’t hot! No complaints, just keep the temperature down. Thank you

Very clean and well managed. Just coming out of physical therapy i needed to gain my strength back in my legs. PF is only a mile from my house so i joined. I like the laid back atmosphere.

Got to go early (before 10am) or later (after 6:30pm). Otherwise, you'll be waiting for your turn. For some reason, customers think that you're supposed to sit on the machine and text for 5 minutes between reps...geesh! 12 mile and Van Dyke is my favorite location. Very spacious, very clean! Two floors!!

Usually very clean, I had an issue with a payment though and I called. The man kept saying I HAD to come in and pay it. I expressed that I was unable to due to a medical problem within my family. He stated that there was NO other way to pay besides coming in. Today for the heck of it I opened my app and realized that I could pay that way....so due to his unhelpfulness I paid a $10 late fee.

Disgusting building and would never recommend this to my worst enemy. Staff was unecplainably rude about machines and pushy about memberships. Tanning booth was filthy, but rude staff was what set this planet fitness apart from the other gyms.

Service & classes excellent. The problem is that your contract revalidates even if you don't approve it. Super painful process to cancel the service.

I canceled my 6 year membership because of a handful of unpleasant encounters with the new staff they have hired in the last few months. Very unprofessional and it looks like several other members have had a bad experience with them as well based on the reviews

This is by far my favorite PF location. The massage chairs are definitely the best. I'm giving 4 stars, only because you NEED TO change the bulbs on the tanners. I'm fair-skinned and can easily do the entire time, three times a week without getting any darker. It's barely a tan!!

I started working out here and I like the cost/convenience of it. I have been going for approx three months with little to no problems at all.

The hours on here and the hours POSTED IN LARGE PRINT ON THE BUILDING say “Open 24/5” but the actual hours (posted in small print on the same window) say that they’re only open until 10 most days and close as early as 7 on others. 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

Big, always clean, well lit and well kept. Employees take good care of the place. The machines are also spaced out, with plenty of room between to not feel cramped.

Very nice staff. SUPER clean facility that is always well-maintained. All of the latest equipment. ♥️ It's the best.

This club is My favorite ,when it comes to the staff they're all nice and friendly ,members are nice and respectful to each others . I used to live 3 miles away from the gym now I'm like 7 miles and there's a closer PF where I live now but I still go here .

Went inside the gym to cancel my membership, filled out the paperwork and everything. Months later I'm still being charged. So I call and talk to a staff member( who said this happens sometimes), then spoke to a manager to be told I'm just out my money, they can't do anything about it. All because the staff were unable to do their job correctly. What a scam.

This isn't a gym for serious lifters by any means, but for the average person you can't find a better deal! The black card membership includes unlimited tanning and use of massage beds/chairs, as well as use of the gym; but the cost is the same or less than any of them individually - and if you are just looking to workout, to my knowledge there is nothing the same price; let alone cheaper than, the basic gym membership here.

Compared to other PF clubs this one is not up to par. Smith machine has been making a rickety sound for a month now and the front desk lady tells me they oiled it and the oil needs to dry for it to work- uh, no, that’s not how oil works- but she just kept repeating herself like I’m the dumb one. Also, always out of paper towel (told the front desk and I definitely was nothing them) and pads for barbells are always old and falling off. All 5 adjustable benches in the free weight section are ripped. None of the little extras will be found here like ankle straps for the cable machines. Been a black card member for years but I’ll drive a little farther for more for my money.

This planet was the last straw for me, I had a phone conversation for legitimately 1 min and 30 sec before the manager told me I can’t be on the phone. And then told me I couldn’t wear crocs after I’ve been wearing them at that planet for almost a year. This is planet fitness, not la fitness. People using the machines every which way but right isn’t against the policies though lol. I’m switching gyms.

The gym is ok. Bathrooms could be cleaner. They always smell a little weird no matter how busy or not busy it is. The newer Asian girl in the front is rude. If you need help or have any questions I would just avoid her all together.

The lady at the desk around 12:30 today was very very rude the app wasn't working to put on a guess and my husband's account so she was giving us a hard time a bad bad attitude showers are absolutely way too small I do not recommend coming to this one whatsoever and it is dirty in the women's bathroom does absolutely definitely find another planet fitness
