Right off of 80. I stop here every time to get some cool photos. You can walk down a bit to get some privacy but the best view is right at the parking area.

This vista point offers splendid views of the blue Donner lake. When I visited in winter, there was also quite a bit of snow nearby. It's a beautiful place to stop by on the way to Tahoe

This area is absolutely beautiful! The air is so clean and no matter what way you look, there's beauty and nature all around you. We stopped for pictures and also to give us all including our 3 dogs a break from driving all day. I wish we could've stayed all day. Easy access and a must stop for any amateur photographer such as myself!

Beautiful overlook. No amenities present but one cool view. It provides a nice vantage point of Lake Donner. Like a baby Lake Tahoe

I try to stop at every vista point when we're on a road trip.

Decent spot to view Donner Lake from about 5 miles away. Parking is adequate, even for a trailer. Big semi trucks won't fit.

It looks very beautiful. You can see the lake from the top before you hit the exit towards the lake.

Not much to say, stunning!! Twisting, winding, road with an awesome drop off along the shoulder, shear mountain rock walks on the other. Road was blocked halfway

The rain had just let up, and the mountains were absolutely beautiful. The Donner Lake Vista Point was the perfect place to stop and take a few pictures. The view was absolutely amazing (and that was before the double rainbows.) Highly recommend taking a few moments and enjoying the view.

On our way to Virginia City didn't realize there was gonna be snow pulled into thr Donner Vista point to get some breath taking views of the lake and mountains. Wasn't to crowded on Wednesday and we were able to get right back on the freeway. A pleasant visita view.

Beautiful views, easy pull-off and parking. Great place for wedding photos!!

The view is fantastic! There are a couple of paths away from the freeway that gives you a better view and a good angle for pictures. Just be careful where you step.

After navigating through Truckee highway(eastbound only) this place is nice place to take break and enjoy the beauty. Not designed for semi truck parking but one should fit fine.
