Always a nice ride on the ferry. Better way to get to Sydney than not taking the ferry. Showed up first thing to get the ferry and saw it parked on the other side. Sign and lights said it was running but wasn't sure if that was so. Called the ferry phone number and when I asked if the ferry was running the ferry guy said "of course love, ferry will come get ya!". Then it slowly puttered across and picked us up. Made me homesick when I heard his response. Hadn't been back in a few years and definitely missed nova scotia driving and road trips. Oh the ferry free now too. I do miss when it was $2.25 and you got a little ticket, but glad it's free.

Very short ferry, but saved lot of time . Was very helpful. While coming back ferry was not working due to rain. It took 45 min extra.

Okay this was a very unexpected ferry trip for us. It was absolutely fantastic! I can say without a doubt that it was the shortest fairy trip I've ever taken! Whoever is funding this, don't stop!

We had a great time on what is likely the shortest ferry ride ever.

This ferry is awesome!! It’s very quick and we only waited in line approx 5 mins. About 12 cars can fit each ride and surprisingly it fills up quick. The ride is short. The distance you go is only about 200 ft as all you need to do is get over the water to land. We went in Aug 2022 and it was FREE!! Not much free nowadays- especially a service like this! This is totally worth it.

Cute little ferry, saved us a lot of time to get back to Baddeck after doing the Trail. We didn't have to wait too long to get on but we visited in the evening on a Tuesday.

Free ferry available that helps to make your way being very short. We were the last one on board, so we didn't need to wait.

A short, little and quick ferry crossing. Ferry can carry about 10 - 15 ish cars and a bunch of cyclists. Everyone lined up in their cars and was directed to a spot on the ferry by the operator of the ferry. And then the ferry was off, crossing the river and dropping all of the cars and us on the other side. You just stay in your car and follow the instructions on the large signboard. Takes a few minutes. The ferry runs 24 hrs on demand.

One of Nova Scotia's free community ferries. So it's fast and friendly and free. It's also reasonably modern and makes short work of the crossing. Then there's the views. Why wouldn't you take the ferry? Do it if you get the chance.
