I
visited
the
Heron
Inn
for
a
Christmas
Lunch
and
was
really
pleased.
The
atmosphere
is
nice
and
cosy,
with
pleasant
lighting,
wooden
furniture,
a
real
fire.
Having
had
some
less-than-amazing
experiences
with
other
establishments
recently,
I
was
pleased
to
see
that
they
offered
a
vegan
option
for
each
of
the
3
courses
(side
note:
it's
crazy
that
in
this
day
and
age
this
isn't
standard).
Yes,
there
was
only
one
option
for
each,
but
they
had
clearly
had
thought
put
into
each
of
them;
they
were
proper
dishes,
not
just
placatory
afterthoughts
or
a
boring
burger
variant.
*Yawn*
Each
of
the
courses
was
really
good...
with
the
possible
slight
exception
of
dessert.
The
chocolate
ganache
was
great,
and
so
was
the
lemon
sorbet...
but
I'm
really
not
sure
they
belong
together.
All
in
all,
a
great
venue
which
I'll
be
recommending
to
friends,
and
visiting
again
in
future.
[Pictured
are
the
starter
and
dessert.
I
ate
the
main
before
I
remembered
to
snap
it]
Update:
Visited
again
(also
pictured).
Hummus
was
a
bit
overpriced
for
what
it
was,
but
banana
blossom
fish
and
chips
was
tasty
and
a
good
size.
