Very good food and really nice people. I got the fries haddock, the potatoes were nice and the haddock had a light and crispy batter. Will go again :)

Can’t love this place enough! Everyone is so friendly and sweet! Their home-cooked meals are a welcome change from all the fast food around here too.

Incredible spot right in Burnside! My co-worker and I stopped for lunch and we were just wowed! He had the haddock special and I had the shwarma wrap and we split an order of the cabbage rolls and it was all delicious. Everything there seems like a must-try with rotating daily specials. The staff were phenomenal and incredibly friendly.Will definitely be grabbing lunch here again soon! Check it out.

Janina, her daughter, and their café are anabsolute gem! They ate well worth a trip from anywhere in HRM for their amazing homemade Polish food and baked goods.

Janina's is my favourite Friday lunch spot. They have a different special every day. Friday is when they do their fried haddock and potatoes special. The fish is hot perfectly crisp on the outside and flaky on the inside, never overdone. The potatoes are just the right portion, with a delicious herb blend on them while they roast. You also get house-made tartar sauce, coleslaw, and warm buttered roll. Personally, I swap out the roll for an extra coleslaw because the slaw is a vinegar base that hits just right after some fried food and carbs. Their staff are always friendly and funny, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my food. If you're in Burnside and need a quick and tasty lunch, this is the spot.

This food is incredible to warm you up on a winter's day. The home-made rolls are amazing, so get there early as sometimes they sell out! The homemade meals and specials are well-priced with large portions and lots of options. Tasty! You can order ahead by phone to have your order ready for pickup, but usually the line is fairly quick. Recommend the Pan-Fried Haddock, because they have the best tartar sauce I've ever had!

Always wanted to try Janina's after smelling the food when going into RBC and all I can say is WOW ! Decent prices, Friendly staff and fast service (in/out in 2 minutes). Tried the Penne and it was to die for and the rolls are amazing :)
