    Good sushi. Their specialty rolls are the way to go. This is our go to sushi spot in Trussville. They have fresh fish and you can really tell with the salmon. The special rolls are between $13-$20. The sushi chefs are fast.

    Staff is always friendly. I love the wonton appetizer. My favorite roll is the Experience roll oh it is so good and the mango on top just is the perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely a top choice when dinning in Trussville .

    Order sprimp tempura roll. Not shrimp tempura more like gordan fry at home bag shrimp and the rolls super small in fact my edamame was bigger the the roll smh

    I had the Kiss Roll. It was a tad spicy, but crunchy and flavorful. My daughter had the grilled chicken Hibachi dinner with fried rice and vegetables. Everything was tasty, the restaurant was clean and the service was very good.

    My spouse and I have eaten here 4 times. Food is usually good. Service though????? Two of the 4 times we had pretty good/average service. Two times (including today 5-13-2022) service was HORRIBLE. The kicker is it was the same waiter! The first time he was our waiter he brought our food and never checked on us. That day he was hanging around a table with two young women. We had to get his attention to get our ticket. We chalked it up to one bad experience. Tonight (5-13-2022) I saw he was our waiter...I dreaded it after the last time but gave him the benefit of the doubt. He Took our order. When he dropped our food order off at the table WE had to ask for refills before he left us. Generally that is ok ....but....unfortunately after he dropped the order with us it was basically the last time he spoke to us (even after a 30 or so minute time span) until WE had to ask for our ticket yet AGAIN. He walked by our table multiple times over the 30 minute time span. Never did acknowledge or check on us. We asked him if he had something against us (by the way the first time I have EVER asked a waiter or waitress that). He said no he was busy helping a party. So the party took precedence over us? I am hesitant to go back especially if I have to have him as my waiter again. FOLLOW UP: I do wish to thank Michael Chandler the regional support manager for this Rick N Roll Sushi. I appreciate the fact he wanted to address my concern. It was a very good conversation! I do plan on giving the restaurant another try!

    The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. It was a very Rock and Roll situation. And also very nice, so thanks Rock and Roll sushi for a wonderful experience.I will be back.

    Usually I love this place! Literally my fave sushi restaurant, but on 6/11/20 I went to get sushi around 12:00-ish and an employee named Michael was utterly RUDE!! He slung my food( to-go ) order, told me I couldn’t use my military ID, proceeded to yell at a new employee, and was just very curt!! I absolutely will not spend money at a place that doesn’t respect customers or at least act as if they do!! Update: I called the store and he proceeded to tell me, using a threatening tone, that he was from a military family and suggested he knew more than me and that my opinion was invalid! We supported this restaurant all through the stay-at-home order, tipped extra, and used MY military ID! I will not be back ‼️Update: I spoke with a district manager and I received a gift card! Nice gesture and highly appreciated ☺️!

    Entered, seat ourselves no one came over for a minute, final a super nice guy greeted us, took drink order then stated our waitress will be over shortly, we’ll that never happened. Once she never appeared I asked the guy what happened she never came to the table he then reply with she was handling something personal. I asked the questions because 2 ladies walked in and she went over with menus immediately then a little while later she took their order.I’m just saying it’s not a good look. The hibachi was the best I ever had, I have paid a ton of money on a plate but by far it’s the best ever. The guy was the best ever super nice and sweet. Food was fresh and super hot. No restaurant will make 72.00 off me and do the disrespect no no.

    The food was decent but the servers and the place is nasty.the male server stood at the register and picked his nose. Never washed his hands went right to the sushi guy to take an order to a table. The same guy came out and said something to one of the girls as he smelled a drink and handed it to her. She smelled it (nose almost touching the cup) waited a second and took it to a table.

    Last time we were there the experience was just OK. The sushi rice was a little mushy and not fully cooked. What was REALLY frustrating was being charged a new credit card fee.. this was NOT advertised anywhere. Not on the menu, the door, nor a sign. I also used a debit card. Very infuriating that they are trying to get every last penny from you even during this crazy recession. Wont be back.

    It’s a fun concept! Originally, I would of given 4 stars, but our waitress Alyssa was awesome! She went above and beyond. I suggest sticking to the sushi. And the egg rolls!

    I heard an ad on the radio about this place and it just so happened we visited Trussville today. My boyfriend and I both agreed to go here over any of the other restaurants we were going to try tonight and I’m so happy we did. This place is right up our alley not only with delicious sushi but the rock theme as well. I really thought the use of repurposing old album covers as menus is genius. All around enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. We will totally be visiting again. Get the punk rock roll. The cucumber, avocado and strawberry salad on top is an awesomely weird combination.

    I stopped for a Door Dash order, but this place is always 5🌟s. Literally all the employees are extremely professional and friendly. They have hand sanitizer set up easily accessible. The only time I've ever had a lengthy wait is when someone orders a Hibachi item. They have great music playing and a nostalgic setting. I would recommend them to anyone

    The food is decent but the chef has been cooking the food too long as of late. This is the 3rd time in a row I’ve gotten burnt fried rice. Mizu is close by. I may go there from now on. They’re a little more expensive but I have peace of mind knowing that my food will be good every time. They’re significantly more consistent with higher quality service and food. I recommend spending the extra few dollars and going to Mizu. They are better, point blank.

    Super cool place. 80’s music definitely fit the “rock n roll” name. Got the VIP roll and it was amazing. My boyfriend and I are visiting Birmingham but we would absolutely local this place if we lived here.

    Not chargrilled..CHARBURNT! highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend! Went out with family for dinner to try something new but never again. Hibachi not suggested stick with the sushi.

    Placed an order for sushi; the rice on the sushi was VERY mushy. VERY distasteful. I called the store to complain; somehow, I was placed on hold & then the call was disconnected. Upon returning the disconnected call, I did not get an answer. Rock n roll sushi is too expensive to be playing with someone’s hard earned money.

    We frequent this sushi bar at least once a month and it’s usually pretty good but tonight was a different experience. The edamame old and dry, tasteless. Our sushi rolls were just ok, but the wait staff was just not what has been there before. Very inattentive and spilled our wine, the wait staff just doesn’t know how to take care of their customers. I could go on but I won’t. Just surprised that this place is not what it use to be!

    1st time here and out of town working. Dine in . No nothing of the food because I never got to order. A waitress brought water and menu to my table and never returned. I felt ignored . Was there a while. Eventually just got up and walked out. Went to Konomi instead . Where the food was great and waitress was awesome.

    First off Miranda the waitress was great. The cucumber salad was ok... The biggest issue was getting a raw fish roll where the fish was room temp. Not sure if the rainbow roll was made too early and sat or if the cooler was set correctly.

    Tonight was the first time I have been to Rock and Roll Sushi and it did not disappoint. April, our waitress, was amazing. She knew her menu and our cups were never close to empty. Very attentive. I got the Electric Roll. The jalapeños with wasabi is where it’s at. With the cajun crawfish, I highly recommend.

    Great Sushi! Fast friendly service. What more can you ask for? This is a neat and clean restaurant with rock and roll decor. I recommend you try them out. You won't be disappointed.

    Messed up my order, didn't give take out items, took 45 mins and said they'd be 15. I waited at the bar the whole time. Food was ok, small amount for price.

    Love eating there but had a couple of disappointments. The shashimi on our salad didn't taste as fresh as usual and our brownie in the fried brownie dessert was barely a 1/2 inch thick. It was totally out of balance with the ice cream. Service wasn't great. 2 couples that came in after us got drinks and menus before we ever had a server come to our table. After that she was pretty good though.

    The Door Dasher misdelivered our order to a neighbor (unbeknownst to us) and the staff were ready to have a new order prepped and delivered. We were able to get the original order and it was delicious. My husband's spicy tuna was a little off flavor wise (extra fishy taste) but otherwise everything was good.

    Lemon Martini was very good, loved the album cover menus presentation. Miso soup was ok, I have better. The Boston roll was very good. The California roll was great! I recommend eating here.

    All employees, except the sushi chef, were wearing their masks incorrectly (hanging from ear, down below chin, under nose, no mask at all (!!!)) and tables were not socially distanced. We are still in the midst of a pandemic with numbers continually rising, like it or not. Service is always great here, but not taking state mandates and regulations seriously during this time, especially when you work in a restaurant, is extremely irresponsible to say the least.

    Stopped in on a Sunday night...haven't done much dine in eating since the pandemic, but they had tables spaced out for social distancing and all employees wearing masks and requiring masks for entry. I had a ginger salad and egg rolls to start. (The ginger dressing was so good!) My dinner was the Reggae roll aka the Bob Marley and it was delish. The miso soup I ordered was really bland and I was unimpressed by the chicken fried rice (which was literally chicken on the plate with rice on the side😂). I wish they had a bit better drink menu, also and those things are why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. But it was my first time and won't be the last...the sushi is great! Sn: they've got Hibachi, too if Sushi isn't really your thing

    I placed a $50 order after checking to make sure that the store was open. My order was accepted, and I drove to pick it up. When I pulled up, there was an open sign in the window, but the store was not open. I called, but the phone rang until it was picked up by a full voicemail. I called for 15 minutes until I just gave up. I'll be contacting again for my refund.

    They made us go sit in the car to wait on our food they claim because of the virus but my sister and i both had on masks and were the only ones with masks on. When i walked back in to pick up my food there was someone sitting and eating in the same spot they asked us to leave from. Very rude and disappointed in them. And on top of that the food was only half as good as it usually is. I will not be back.
