The
tomb
of
Sunan
Geseng
is
believed
to
be
located
in
Jolosutro
Hamlet,
Piyungan
District,
Bantul
Regency,
Yogyakarta.
In
addition,
the
tomb
of
Sunan
Geseng
is
also
believed
to
exist
in
a
village
called
Desa
Tirto,
at
the
foot
of
Mount
Andong
-
near
Gungung
Telomoyo
-
administratively
under
Gramag
Sub-district,
Magelang
Regency,
Central
Java
and
Punggur
Forest
area,
Geseng
Village,
Semanding
District,
Tuban,
East
Java.
There
is
also
a
Islamic
Boarding
School
called
the
Sunan
Geseng
Islamic
Boarding
School
near
Tirto
Village.
Other
than
the
tomb
building
which
I
visited
in
Tuban,
there
are
also
dedicated
rest
area
for
visitors,
area
for
ablution,
toilets,
and
mosque.
There
are
also
historical
heritage
sites,
such
as
flat
stone
which
is
believed
to
be
the
place
of
Sunan
Geseng's
appearance
when
burned.
In
Tuban
all
in
all
a
must
visit
area,
it
is
surrounded
by
teak
forests
and
is
really
pristine.
Approach
road
is
very
good
and
smooth.
And
is
connected
with
both
highways
leading
to
Tuban
(Jl
Babat
and
Pentura).
If
coming
from
Gresik
/
Surabaya
I
would
recommend
to
come
via
jalan
Babat
passing
Lamongan
city.
or
if
coming
from
Central
Java
-
Java
Tengah
from
Semarang
or
Rembang
than
one
must
take
diversion
from
Tuban
city
towards
Babat
rather
than
continuing
on
Jalan
Pentura
since
Pentura
remains
more
congested
and
is
a
bit
narrow.
The
approach
from
Pentura
is
also
a
bit
busy
due
to
continues
village
traffic
which
makes
the
much
narrower
road
leading
to
the
Tomb
of
Sunan
Geseng
a
bit
hectic
drive
whereas
through
Jl.
Babat
one
can
enjoy
serene
beauty
of
pristine
forests
and
almost
with
no
traffic.
