Beautiful, tranquil cathedral that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Tucson. We went inside to pray after being out in the sun all afternoon. It was the most peaceful (and cool) stop of our trip. Definitely would return to just pray and be at peace 🤍

Undeniably beautiful, wonderfully tranquil. This imposing cathedral is a great example of Romanesque style architecture. With impressive towers, interesting barrel vaulted interiors, and amazing stained glass windows this cathedral is magnificent. The feeling inside is peaceful and quite beautiful by itself. The ushers are incredibly friendly, and the information signs in the foyer are very informative. You can easily spend 30 minutes here examining the interior and then the adjacent gardens. It's a great stop, and the cathedral has parking for visitors.

Beautiful church. The remodel and new church office turned out wonderfully. They may not be as fast as other churches about fulfilling religious document requests, but they will provide a thick paper document and place each record in an envelope for safe keeping. After all, the records usually have to be sent to another church if you're sponsoring a child. It does look professional to submit. My documents had a church stamp, a fresh signature, and an official church envelope to help prove authenticity to an out of state church. The religious documents can be ordered at the desk, provided that the religious event was performed at St. Augustine.... Price $5 each and copies need to be requested at the same time as ordering.

Beautiful mass with wonderful music! Very prayerful space! The most important moment was receiving the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist!!! The paintings on the walls and ceiling of the narthex were very awe inspiring! Definitely come to attend Mass, receive the Eucharist and pray in this Holy place!!!

Catholic cathedral. It's beginning was a two room house in 1858. The Cathedral was finished in 1868. A restoration was done from 1966 to 1968. Major restoration an construction is currently ongoing. I personally have seen this from 2017 to 2018. The whole area around the Cathedral is in the midst of major improvement, renovations as well as new construction.

Architecture is beautiful. Looks incomplete, though. Or painted over. The liturgies leave a great deal to be desired in regards to orthodoxy. The only door open for daily Mass is the door facing the parking lot.

Love this Church always go for new years eve mass...Father Valencia gave such a good sermon about power rangers and action figures set up in Nativity when he was a kid..lol The Xmas Eve mass was so well explained I leave with so much peace in my heart...

We're a boomer couple from Ohio and observed Christmas Eve here. A newer large church is upscale party of Tucson. Clean modern open worship space, Large patio with fountain. Excellent choir. Full clerical team. One pot of gold at one end of my Catholic church spectrum/rainbow. . We found the other out of gold on Sunday at Santa Cruz parish in Tucson. Older, a little tired (as we are now), the wisdom and humility of the Carmelite pastor just flowed thru the aged scratched pews. A compelling Crucifix and altar in what I think of as a Latino style. Very special. . Two winners

This church is the epitome of what Catholic churches should appear too be in so many ways. When you walk in it simply takes your breath away. It's a magical, spiritual environment, when referring to a church...

Sooo cool, they are super welcoming to the public. And have a couple areas to look through and learn about the history and culture. They have a gift shop and a little market upfront where there were some booths to get tasty food. A very cool experience! They even have certain times for mass which would be cool to attend.

Every older church is usually eye catching and this one was no exception . Lots of seating ,sirene feeling ,clean , bathrooms clean and smelled good .Pleasant humble abode.

We were down here in Tucson for some travel youth hockey with our kids and spotted the Cathedral right across from the hockey arena. Saturday evening mass fit into our schedule and was a great moment to refocus and start the new week fresh with God. Thanks for making us feel welcome!

Saw on the website that they were going to have confession for the New Year. We waited in our car and saw others arrive. We waited for 15 minutes and nothing happened. Ended up having to go to a different church, much later in the day. The information on the website and what actually happens is very different.

Its a beautiful church, but I visited after hours to look at all the paintings on the walls and windows, which were stunning. It echos but its lit softly, and it feels beautifully hushed. I have no idea what its like during service, but after with hardly anyone around? Its amazing

This is a big old downtown cathedral. The building and grounds are attractive. I did not attend a mass, but just visited briefly while in the neighborhood because the history and architecture caught my eye.

Peaceful, prayerful, simple beauty. We arrived at about 11:30am. There were only about 6 others in the space, and we were able to sit quietly, soak in the sacredness and pray quietly for a few minutes. I especially loved the images of the prophets, the native saints and the saint Theresas. This cathedral is warm and inviting.

We have been to many cathedrals in the US. This is not large place, nor super ornate. In actual fact, my favorite part is the foyer. The tromp l' oiel was fantastic! And the stained glass was beautiful.
