A brazen attempt was made by Kababeque... The $4.99 authentic Parantha was a buttered Mission tortilla... I'm not joking. An actual big-brand flour tortilla. You can't pull that off in Tucson, Kababeque! C'mon!

Soooo good! There isn't Anything there I've had that I don't like. My two favorites are Curry made medium to spicy in terms of hotness and the Chana Masala medium to spicy as well. Both with a side of garlic naan bread extra crispy! Oh, don't forget a side of the green dipping sauce and a side if the red dipping sauce for your naan or just to put on the rice! Yummy! If you go enjoy!

Extra spicy was no spice at all. I’ve never had a least spicy dish. For $20, totally waste of money and time to get it from university. What a rip off. And counter girl had me standing there after I paid, and then after a while was like “oh yea, that’s yours” pointing to a bag that was next to other bags. Because clearly handing it to me was too much work. Yet they ask for a tip. Never again will I come here. And just as bad as there being no spiciness to extra spicy, there was also a bunch of bones in my chicken dish. Food tonight was the worst I’ve ever had there. Total trash and complete disappointment and regret. Don’t waste your money here.

The garlic Naan, vegetable samosa, and masala Chai were wonderful. The chutneys were great.

I had the Samosa Chaat and Oh my God, it was to die for. This was so delicious, the in depth flavors it had YUM. I can not remember what the other names of our order were, but they were so good also. So glad I stopped by to try, will definitely be back.

Chicken curry was below average. The rice was either undercooked or just really bad quality somehow. Curry itself was lacking in flavor. My insides usually feel awesome after a spicy chicken curry but this has my guts spinning.

Paneer biryani was mediocre and had like 4 pieces of paneer in styrofoam tube. For the price you pay, to me, it’s not really worth it. We ordered chicken curry and it small side was filled maybe a quarter way up. Also, chicken tasted slightly undercooked or rubbery. 2 entrees and a dessert $40 and still felt hungry afterwards due to the kid like portions. I guess it’s better to go in person then delivery.

100% PERFECT EVERY TIME! - go get the medium chicken curry and garlic naan and slurp that up! Don’t waste it!! Never mind the tikka - that’s for sissies- enjoy the burn on the lips and nose running with the spice- no chicken breasts- THIGHS ALL THE WAY PEOPLE!!

The woman taking our order was very uninterested in helping us, and wasn't really actively listening to us when we were placing our order. She sounded quite annoyed and a bit rude when going through our order with us. In the end, she still got it wrong. We ordered two different entrees medium spicy, but got two of the same entree with absolutely no spice at all. Also, if I had not asked about the mango lassi she would have let us walk out without that, too (and seemed annoyed when I asked about it). As for the food, the only thing that was actually pleasant was the naan bread--aside from that, the curry was very watery/runny and flavorless. Unfortunately, it reminded me of how my meals tasted when I had covid, and was not at all worth the price we paid. I can only report on the curry paneer, as they messed up the order and didn't include the other entree. I will stick with Zika Twist on 4th, Kababeque was very disappointing. I wish I could get a refund. TLDR: horrible customer service w/ bland and overpriced food. Go to Zika Twist instead.

It’s probably more expensive than typical for a quick service place ($15 for the entree that includes rice, after giving a tip) that doesn’t use real dining ware even when dining in. I suppose part of is it’s location on University Boulevard (though there are other Indian options about a 5 minute drive away). Either way, I would say the paneer saag is better (and spicier) than most other places I’ve been to and is served quick and fresh. It’s quite different from its sister restaurant, Saffron

Even from a couple steps away, I can already tell I'm near Kababeque when I get a strong whiff of spices. I've gotten their kebabs and curries which tasted great! For a spice weenie like myself, I must say that I tapped out even with their mild spicy level. Always get their mango lassi!

We ordered take out and must've been looking at an old menu. I was told the item I ordered was no longer available but they still graciously made it anyway. Solid, delicious food, a bit pricy, but you get a lot too. Seems fair. I recommend trying it if you haven't yet!

I had very low expectations, I was just hungry, but boy was I blown away. Just get a Q roll, don’t bother getting anything else. The mint-basil Q roll was really good, had lots of balanced flavor, and was a really good price for the size. It’s not huge, but it’s not small either which is nice. Ask for medium spicy- it’s good stuff.

Ordered Samosa Chaat. It was not fried, it was like I was straight up eating white dough. Samosa is suppose to be crispy in Samosa Chaat. Service was good, atmosphere was nice but food needs work and you guys need to drop your price. Samosa Chaat usually are $7.50 to $10.75 around the 47 US states, not $12.50.

The best curry chicken I have a taste it!!! If you like Good tasting food, do you self a favor and go to this Family owned for over 10 years, small restaurant. The food was so good swallowed wrapping paper. Seriously, their sauces are out of this world especially cherry-based spicy sauce for the wraps, Thank you so much for Fabulous dinner !

The samosas had an interesting filling that I havent really had from many Indian places however they were pretty good. The Tikka masala was pretty decent but very tomato heavy and there wasn't much depth to the flavor beyond the tomato and spice. The rice was good, could have a been a bit fluffier. However, the tandoori chicken was easily the best chicken I've eaten, potentially ever. Incredibly deep and rich flavor and a great portion for the price. Will be coming back for sure

They use deception for profit but the food is good. They have a menu posted outside that is 5 years old and has old very outdated prices (around $3 off current prices). When I asked about the price difference the employee immediately said "that menu is 5 years old...it says 'prices subject to change' on it" as if the fine print made him feel better about deceiving his customers. Although the food is good I will not be back because I prefer not to support a business that knowingly uses deception in their business model.

Set in the heart of the University area, this is conveniently located only for those who are already on campus. If you find yourself on campus and want better than fast food in a fast food atmosphere give this place a try. As any fan of Indian food will tell you, there is wide variation in any particular dish depending on who prepares it. I tried a couple of standard dishes to begin with. In my opinion the Lamb Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala were delicious, even if I prefer the recipes at restaurants where I grew up. Kababeque probably set the standard for many U of A alum.

One of the best Indian restaurant in town. Located inside University of Arizona. This is a branch of Saffron. They have varieties of Indian dishes in both vegetarian and non vegetarian category. They have white rice, biryani, varieties of nan, all types of curries, juice, soft drinks, lassi etc. Tatse is good. Spiciness can be customized as per requirement. My favorite in town without any doubt.

It is a good place to hangout with friends. It is situated in the busy road of University Boulevard. It has quite an Indian feel, not just in food but ambience too. They play Indian songs on the television. I have tried their Aloo naan and cheese naan, which was really tasty. The best thing about this place is, they serve amazingly tasty sides like curd, mint sauce and red sauce. They serve beer too. Their sitting is fine. Washrooms are fine too. Staff is nice and cordial. It's definitely a place to go.

I went with my family to Kababeque , starting with the location, it is located at decent place in HSR. The ambience of the restaurant is really very nice, it is sophisticated yet comfortable. We ordered special chicken stick Kababs as a starter and main course. The servings were really good and taste was also amazing. I don't find that price was too high, it was worth it.

Was introduced to this place from a work colleague. It has become a go-to place for my wife and I to visit probably once a month on date night. We’ve tried a few things, but our favorite is the Chicken Tikka Kabobs. The chicken is always perfectly tender and seasoned just right. Medium spicy has a nice bite. The rice and salad are the perfect compliment. Plain Naan is our favorite. The yogurt sauce (white one) and mint sauce (green one) are delicious and we like to pour them on everything/dip the Naan. If you want to step outside of the American/Italian/Mexican restaurant rut, give this place a try.

Hands down worst tikka masala I’ve ever had. Sauce tastes like bad spaghetti sauce. Veggie samosas and pakora were good, while the garlic naan was subpar. Very surprised and disappointed as I love there other branch Saffron.

Got the spicy lamb roll and veg samoosa.. The lamb was so dry and not really spicy. It had a nice flavour though! The samoosa was disappointing and not really authentic but the dipping sauces/chutneys were delicious!

Two stars for the Mango Lassi and service. We ordered Chole Bhature, Samosa and sample kababs. Chole Bhature - chole didn’t had any taste n I guess the cook don’t know to cook Bhature. Samosa - the potato n peas In Samosas had some taste, however the very thick layer of flour. Kababs- chicken kababs was dry and again. No taste.

What a find! Tasty Indian-type food, at a fair price, just steps from the Sun Link Streetcar stop at SL/University/Tyndall. This place was also clean, the people were nice, and they let customers use the washroom! We're fans!

The garlic naan here is so good and pretty large in my opinion compared to other places. I like to get the paneer makhani and it’s also very delicious! Staff is super friendly too. This is my favorite Indian spot ever and you cannot beat the prices!

+ Very Tasty Curry - Non-friendly unprofessional cashier - Too much fat on lamb, untrimmed - Over-priced; posted menu prices do not match prices they charge; charged me for a cup of tap water even though I just paid $15 for a meal.

I love this place! Everything I've had here has been delicious. My favorite is the Tikka Masala. I dream about this dish. I get it with paneer, which you should try if you haven't, and a mango lassi. I highly recommend it!

They had the best aloo and garlic naan, chicken biryani and daal tadka I have had in at least 8 years, in fact the best since I was last in India. I asked for the biryani to be spicy, and though the cashier asked if I was sure, it was absolutely perfectly spicy. I will be BACK for more at Kabebeque Indian Grill, and may make it a regular stop when in Tucson.

Great food, prompt delivery, better na'an in Sahuarita than their Tucson shop in the University area. Takeout only in Sahuarita, eat-in in Tucson. Biryani rice was delicious as was the Tikka masala.Try the Tikka kabob! Wish they had the sampler platter Tucson's shop has. I also wish Sahuarita's website had a phone number.

I am normally a huge fan as I love the Tikka Masala Chicken but the last couple of times I have gotten it something was different. It tastes saltier and less flavorful. Kind of disappointed at this point

This place is a hidden gem! I worked at the University for several years and had never gone here until recently. Now I find myself going several times a week. Everything on the menu is fantastic though my favorite is the makahani.

  • 1/5 Emily N. 4 years ago on Google
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Firstly this was the blandest chicken korma and naan that I have ever had. I live in London and regularly order authentic Indian food, so I know what I’m talking about here. The chicken was also super fatty, so I could only manage to eat half of it. Secondly, and most importantly, my husband woke up in the night in pain with a poorly stomach and spent about an hour in the bathroom. He will probably have to call off work tomorrow morning.

Tastes good and everything was been good when I came here except this time. The roll I got was like soup in bread wrapped in paper. It was a challenge separating the paper from bread because it had gotten so wet. No lie, there was at least 1/3 a cup of juice in the take out bag. I love the food but I’m going to stay away from their rolls from now on.

  • 4/5 Moni A. 4 years ago on Google
First time trying Indian food. I had the Lamb Pasanda, spicy. It was delicious, although I probably would have enjoyed the chicken best. Service was quick, the place was clean, and very friendly service.

Surprised people still eat here. It’s watered down watery food.

  • 1/5 John D. 4 years ago on Google
They charged me sales tax on a gift certificate, and they say that they will not charge sales tax to the consumer when they purchase the food, but I have my doubts. The owner tried to charge me for a soft drink multiple times when I was a student and was purchasing a combo that included a free soft drink for students. I will revise my review when the gift certificate is used, but there is a pattern of shadiness here.

  • 4/5 John H. 4 years ago on Google
It was a little pricey, 14 dollars for Curry and a piece of plain nan, but it was a large lunch. The curry was good and I would not mind eating there again. It is on University, so parking is hit or miss.

We loved the food! I am particular with Indian food and our chicken kebabs were perfect. My husband had medium heat and it was really spicy. I had the mild heat and it wasn’t spicy. We also ordered naan and a strawberry lassi drink. Very casual, great prices, and delicious food. See you again!

Bad customer service i always order from this place the same thing and this time my order was all the opposite I told them I don’t want my rice spicy and I want chicken in my soup when I get home it was really spicy and I just get the soup with no chicken I called them and the guy that answer was soo rude I explained to him what happened and he said that them mild was the top spicy in the menu I was expecting other answer but the guy was so mean I don’t know if it’s for my dark skin because they are always more nicer with white people for I have seen....... never came to this place anymore

Filthy - the tables are dirty, even after 'cleaning'. They totally messed up our order. It wasn't tasty either. I don't even think this is a real Indian restaurant.

  • 4/5 MOLLY M. 4 years ago on Google
I ordered close to closing time. Although I eat meat, I ordered the Chana Masala and Samosas. If you are at all sensitive to heat, order the mildest Chana. I ordered medium. It tasted hot, to me. Very enjoyable, and not a bad price. I am looking forward to trying more of the vegetarian/vegan dishes they offer, as well as some meat and dairy dishes.
