The main façade of the palace, the one facing Roso Street, is a Plateresque work, with rich Italianate ornamentation. It has a low body, with a main door with a semicircular arch, marked by brick voussoirs. It has a beautiful rectangular window, whose jambs and lintel are decorated with rosette coffers modeled in plaster. On the façade that faces La Merced Street, you can admire the Mudejar decoration, brick work based on rhombuses or sebka, clear Muslim ancestry. On this same façade there is a double body with rectangular openings and a gallery of double pointed arches in the Gothic style. The Gothic-Mudejar decoration of the corner of Merced Street is only partially preserved, since a magnificent Mudejar-style tower stood on this corner that was demolished in the 19th century. It had late Gothic ogee arches at its base that were the continuation of the gallery of pointed arches on the Merced Street façade. Thus, the Mudejar decoration is largely a later reconstruction.

A small, simple museum to visit with a surprise at the end? The Tudela Museum, next to the Cathedral. It will surprise you! Different rooms with an exhibition mix that will not disappoint you. Do you like archeology? Bronzes from the Ancient Age, Roman vessels, iron figures... All found in the forts of Tudela and surrounding areas. Do you prefer sacred art? Rarely will you be able to examine a huge polychrome wooden altarpiece so closely. And we learned a lot about the different clothing of the priests in the homily! And as a final surprise... The Cloister of the Cathedral of Tudela. Restored with care and with a very visual brochure so you can play with the little ones to find figures in the capitals. It will surprise you.

We were in the assembly hall at a talk by 'Essential Africa' about African literatures. The building is very beautiful and very well rehabilitated. The spacious living room, good acoustics and good computer and screen service. Lots of public. Good experience.

Built in the 15th century for priests, it was renovated at the end of the 18th century to be the home of the Bishop, since in 1783, the Cathedral ceased to be a Collegiate Church due to the creation of the diocese of Tudela. It is currently the cathedral museum, and with the same ticket, you can visit it as well as its beautiful cloister.

Nosotros además fuimos tarde y no...

👍👍 The Church of the Magdalena is the greatest exponent of Romanesque architecture in Tudela (Navarra, Spain).1 Its construction dates back to the mid-12th century (Romanesque), that is, it is contemporary with the Cathedral of Santa María, although it is The latter took more years to be completed.
