Location is perfect, but that being said, chances are you could just come here without a booking, or better, head to any of the other accommodation options nearby and choose them instead. Hair everywhere, room had a funky smell, pillow cases were covered in... God knows what... mould or something. If you want a legitimate scary experience, sure, this place is fine, but if you want a good night sleep, enjoy cleanliness and value your self worth, then try anywhere else.

Great location and friendly staff. But it was really unsanitary. Dirty bathroom, used q-tip, and hair in the sink. If the room were clean, it would easily be a 4.5. I guess that people will come anyways because they are the cheapest option in the area. I would not stay here again!

This need a total makeover. The building are run down and should be cleaned and made up to date. The pool is so green it looks like a leftover from “The Shining” horror movie. And the breakfast is only worth missing. Stay away unless you are desperate for something cheap. 😱🤬🤢

Great spot to stop after coming off the mountain, great views and little stroll to the river. Room wasn't clean and had to switch rooms, beds were hard but not as bad as I thought..sad breakfast but free. Lots of plants they took care of, owner and cleaning lady were nice, she was going to work on our room at 6 pm but we got another...the hot tub looked fine until I went to get in...ice cold 😶, I asked the cleaning lady about it and she said it was broke. Pool didn't seem to have the filter going or a lot of pollen that settled

It met my needs for a one night stay on the way out of the park. Rooms are large and A/C works, don't expect a lot more. I was given a hard time when I requested a second key card for my double room.

First night I went to bed and a large cockroach looking bug was crawling on my arm. Bathtub plug was broken. Staff were rude, made mistakes and then didn’t own up to it or do anything to fix it. Grounds were covered in sharp things from the bushes and kept getting stuck in my dogs paws. Ice machine didn’t work. Laundry sucked and was expensive. Overall even though was a cheaper place to stay, it isn’t worth saving the $30 or $40 … stay somewhere else!!!

No water in pool due to bacteria (in july w 100 degrees) - see older reviews about pool issues, seems to be a recurring issue. Old food in fridge upon checkin. Heaps of dust, hair in bathtub, random spider webs in corners and ceiling. Oh, and risk of bed bugs. Mgmt doesn't care, customers keeps coming for the proximity to the park I guess..

Very nice and well managed. Some of the rooms have been renovated and looks nice. Big and beautiful hotel near Sequoia national park. Beautiful mountain view from the rooms. Bbq area, kids' playground, swimming pool all there and well taken care of. Free continental breakfast for guests. Friendly customer service and house cleaning. Upon our early arrival, they cleaned our 3 rooms so we could check in. It was a very nice gesture. I would certainly go back there again.

This hotel was alright. The room was well kept, and was decent for a last minute booking! The receptionist when we checked in was a little rude, and kinda just wanted us out the office. And then when we checked out at around 8am, we had to continuously ring the bell for someone to come out. The receptionist finally came out after about 5 minutes and liked half asleep. I would stay here again because the price was good.

Great location. Rooms are rundown and nothing has seem to be invested in the property.. should be priced more fairly due to its condition. But hey it's a place to stay if needing a base camp to the wonderful mountains. And very close to river.

We were expecting a terrible experience due to the previous reviews. However, we were very happy with our room. It was clean and obviously renewed. There is still room for improvement but the stay was great and the staff very pleasant. Overall a very good experience.

We had to pay extra $20 because we want to pay with card, and not cash. (Who is using cash today?) The pool was unusable with green water in it, and the jacuzzi is closed. Also there is no breakfast, because if COVID. But Covid is over... The room was clean and pretty big hough.

Would not reccomend. We made a reservation via telephone, but the manager booked the most expensive room and we asked for the cheapest. When we arrived he was nowhere to be found, (for 2 days) so we couldnt make ajustments. Not only that the room was dirty af. Ac was really loud and not really cold. Pool was Almost nucleair. 1 star for some nice views tho

Rooms are very dated and basic, though they do have tv, refrigerator, microwave, iron and hair dryer. The air conditioner is a wall unit that shuts off the condenser before cooling the room thoroughly while the fan keeps blowing air but not cold air since the compressor is off. The issue appears to be due to the fact that the thermostat is adjacent to the unit's vent, by the controls, which gives it a false read of the overall room temperature. So while the controls and thermostat are at a cool 68°F the rest of the room is about 90°F (late July 2022) because the thermostat is cooled to the desired temperature but the rest of the room isn't. This has to be addressed. Another issue is their plugs, they are very loose and do not hold the blades of the device you plug into them and nearly fall out of the outlets that their so worn.

Make sure u book a hotel before getting to Three Rivers-no internet. Over priced hotel needs updating. Free breakfast advertised and on sign BUT they didn't have. Our bathroom door was sticking and virtually no TV channels. Possibly a good place for families. Outdoor area to play in.

This place is definitely overpriced. I guess you are paying for location. It’s a typical outdated motel. It’s in desperate of a makeover. No free breakfast. We had ants in our room but other than that the room was VERY clean. Pillows and sheets didn’t smell.

Horrible place. Hygiene is abysmal, our room was full of human hair everywhere and had not been properly cleaned up. This is a common problem that other guests had, so the standards are very low. This lack of hygiene carried over in the breakfast room, where tables aren't being cleaned after being used by guests. The swimming pool is also unusable, because it doesn't get cleaned either. Furniture is old, walls and exteriors haven't been maintained in a while, and the wi-fi doesn't work in rooms: you have to go out on the balcony to have reception. To top it all off, when asked if we could leave our baggages at the facility for a few hours, we were rudely answered that they did not have room for them and we would have had to leave them in the breakfast room, there anyone could steal them. Avoid this place at all costs, there are a few others in Three Rivers that can't possibly be as filthy and run down as this.

This is inhumane!!! Where are the managers! The hotel is ruined, dirty, everything is sooooo old that it gives me creeps. The towels, beds, bedsheets etc need to be changed. We are paying so much for 2 nights! It is not worth it. Wanted to leave after the minute I entered the room and checked the bed. Spraying something around does not mean it is clean!!! You do not respect people if you dare let them stay in such rooms. The swimming pool is green from dirt. Treat your employees in a right way. Sorry for people who work hard here and cannot do anything about it. You need to change beds and sheets and towels now and then! At leest every 5 years. The towels are stained and the sheets. They server their time.

I recently stayed here, I was a bit upset, let’s start with the location, is not the best. The price was a little over what I’m willing to consider “reasonable”, the rooms are really old, the rooms are very dusty and dirty inside, I also found a bunch of spiders (I’ll be reasonable with this, I’m in the forest). The shower was not only outdated but at times there was only cold water coming out of it. The pool was dirty, had to have at least 6 months without cleaning it. The place offered “free breakfast”, which I didn’t realized until I was checking in, the gentleman at the front desk shared with me the schedule for breakfast. Did not expect to be a waffle maker, toast and coffee, which by the way, the only thing I tried was the coffee AAAND it was horrible. Over all, is not the worst place where I’ve stayed (San Bernardino CA), however, I feel it could be a bit better maintained and cleaned for the price. Paying $180/night and having a shower that smells really bad and has cold water or having more dust than I have at home is not really worth it. I did spotted a bear digging through the trash less than 10ft away from me when I was driving to the forest, I also spotted at least three spiders inside the room.

Smelly old rooms, breakfast not available (though said on the signs), shower head at shoulder height. Area/views are nice. Price-quality ratio not good.

Room was ok. A bit old but acceptable. Pool was nice even though there were bugs floating in it. What really disgusted me was when I noticed the ice from the ice machine had bugs trapped insights and I had chewed one up . Maybe move the machine indoors and clean it?

Stayed here for two nights in July. Rating this knowing it's a 2 star motel. I had the dirtiest room ever. Dirt and "crumbs" in the night table drawer, cobwebs throughout the room with dead bugs and stuff, soap residue and hair in the shower soap shelf. The room also had 3 -4 live mosquitos each night that I had to kill or they would feast on me at night. (Guess the "cleaning staff" leave the door open.) Shower pressure is poor. Towels are typical thin/hard 2 star motel towels. Fortunately the AC works well as it's hot in Three Rivers. Though it's very loud. Pool had no water.

Disgusting 🤮 the water ran brown to the point where I opted to use my own bottled water to brush my teeth. One of the bed pillows was full of human hair, animal hair, and eyelashes. And by the looks of the other reviews, our room was one of the cleaner ones.

They are not rude. They do ask for a bank card even when paying in cash. Pet fees $15. Nice bbq area

Great location 👌 rooms are old and rundown. Staff and service is lacking! But again location is perfect for fun and adventure. Would not recommend unless all other options are booked

Totality ripoff for this price!!! Travelers searching for a rooming house before traveling to Sequoia Park, please read my review A night in this hotel is not worth even 30 dollars! The toilet is dirty, the hair in the bath and in the bed, it feels like the beds have not been changed for a month, I was even disgusted to go to bed without clothes! Very dusty, no hot water in the room, I leave one star only for the location close to the park. it's a complete disgrace!

We had no issues staying here. We had a reservation for one night on our way to Sequoia. It was convenient. Our room was clean and quite roomy. Comfy bed. No bugs. Everything in working order. The employees were very nice. The lady in the office was nice. We would stay again. We were not too sure what all the complaints were but our experience was good.

This was an OK place to stay if you’re looking for proximity to the park and relatively inexpensive. I would say the room was averagely cleaned, but not great. I ended up finding a cockroach on the bathroom floor. The shower had been remodeled, so that was definitely the nicest part of the room. When we called to check rates, the front desk lady hung up on us. We thought it might’ve been an accident, but she was just as unfriendly when we got there. Would I stay again? Probably not, unless other places were sold out near. You can’t beat the proximity to the park.

If I could give zero stars I would, I crashed my motorcycle 30 minutes from the checkin time confirmed. Zero wiggle room in a possible refund or a usable credit for the future as I am in critical condition. Empathy and basic customer service is not available at this location. Can’t imagine basic services if you make it to the hotel. Ridiculous

It was a regular “you get what you pay for” hotel with a 3 star rating in my opinion. I was not gonna rate. But the lady working at the front desk needs to learn how to talk to customers. She was very mean and agressive for no reason. At the check-in, we upgraded the room for $50. During the checkout, we told that we were not satisfied with the room upgrade. We firstly asked for a better view from room and there was no any nice view at all, wifi was not working, water was very weak, hair dryer was not working. So we asked for that $50 refund because it didnt worth it, specially when there was only us and 1 more customer staying at the whole hotel. And we were totally ok if they didnt accept. But suddenly she became agressive and started arguing with us. She blamed that we didnt tell these problems before because we were planning to make this complain and ask money back in the end?? And even if she refund money back, we would still give 1 star?? Lol what a mentality?? We just left. Dont even waste a second by answering these kind of people. They just drain your energy… Off season they dont offer breakfast and jacuzzi. On the way to Sequoia Park we saw many other nicer hotels probably around same price. Skip here and just stay another place.

Quick check in, good price, spacious/comfortable/clean room. Beautiful location. Enjoyed our quick stay. Thanks!

Two stars for affordability, nice staff, and location (one hour from Sequoia National Park). The problem is the bugs. We woke up in the in the middle of the night from itchiness and found we had numerous bug bites throughout. These were not mosquito bites, as we were under the covers the whole night.

The rooms were fairly clean, nice blankets, it has a playground for kids and adults, it has a pool, but it was closed and takes days to be filled with water, this is like the second "best" hotel in this area, the other one DID HAVE AN OPEN POOL, It is located like 200 feet from the river...
