Clean, Pleasant Employees, Decor, Atmosphere and Food... Casual Setting with nothing but good things to say about our Brunchtime experience. The wife had breakfast and I had lunch. WE WILL BE BACK.

The Sundrop shoppe is a charming breakfast and lunch spot. I had the chicken salad sandwich. Which was very good. We will be going back to try the chocolate malts. Yum

It was fairly busy around 1 on a Saturday afternoon. Took awhile to get the food but the drinks were great. Ordered a Cherry Sundrop Float that was absolutely delicious, along with a bottled Sundrop. Our entrees were Grand Daddy's Pimento cheese sandwich with kettle cooked chips and Pot Roast French Dip that were both phenomenal. The sandwich really tasted like pot roast, my partner said. For dessert, 2 pieces of Sundrop cake to go that were great (so tasty and moist!). It reminded me of my nanny's Sundrop cakes she made when I was little. 🥰 Can't wait to come back!!!

Yummy!!! The pancakes filled me up. I could not even finish them! My husband and I each had the T Town Special. The waitresses were very friendly! The restaurant is a "seat yourself" restaurant. The full menu is served all day. The waitress let us know the grill was full, so it might take a little bit to get our food depending on what we were ordering. Luckily, we picked out the choice we did because I do not think it was even maybe 5 - 8 min after we ordered, that our food had arrived. My husband and I visited here on our way to Chattanooga, and it was worth the stop!

Thank you for being closed 45 minutes early on a Wednesday; the one chance I got to come by and check out your store. At least put a sign on the door or something so I don't think you just flake out on your customers. (The only reason for the second star is because my mom swears by your grilled cheese; too bad I didn't get to try one.)

Fantastic food, highly recommend the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich. Its simple ingredients but amazing flavor. Don't leave without getting a Sundrop Float (they bottle Sundrop next door) and a slice of sundrop cake. Waitress Ashleigh was amazing A+

Had the BLT and potato soup. It was excellent. Next time I will have a breakfast. Love how quaint the place is. I grew up on Sundrop so this is great.

Cute little place with a soda shoppe atmosphere. Our waitress suggested my sandwich and it honestly was the highlight of my week! They have a small but mighty menu, breakfast and lunch served all day. Hand mixed milkshakes and floats, and can’t forget that SunDrop Cake! Unfortunately once I finished my grilled peanut butter/banana/bacon sandwich, there was no room for dessert. Just means we’ll have to make a second trip soon!

Stopped in for the first time to grab a few milkshakes, Really neat decor and friendly service, However, our milkshakes were more like flavored milk and what took us less than a. Minute to drink took 20 minutes to get and we were the third group there.

I love this place. Possibly the best place to eat in Tullahoma. Great food, great atmosphere, the staff is always friendly and helpful no matter how busy they are, and they're usually slammed, because the place is so great. If you go, and you should, try their desserts. I had the Banana Pudding last time I went and it was absolutely delicious.

Great waitress. Cooks are slow, bacon and eggs were cold. An employee offered to get us hot eggs, but for as long as it took to get the 1st ones I figured we'd miss lunch. Breakfast menu items are sparse and overpriced. This restaurant (seems to be) more for tourists.

Traveled over an hour and a half to eat here. We walked in around 1 and just stood in the middle of the place. No one came to offer us a table or put us on a waiting list or anything. It was moderately busy but not enough to warrant being ignored. After standing there a couple minutes feeling foolish, a waitress literally bumps into my wife and finally we realize we’re not invisible because she excuses herself for doing so. My wife asks her if we just wait for a table, or get put on a list. The waitress literally said she didn’t know. Who do you ask if not the waitress? Either way we said we’d go outside and wait. We stood outside for about 10 minutes before we saw a man wave us in and offer us a seat beside them. Very nice. Keep in mind this is a small place and sitting with someone may be your only option. We sat at the table for about 5 minutes before we got our drinks. The waitress seemed to be bothered that we took that table but I may just be imagining things. Either way went for the “bottomless” fountain drink. It came with paper straws and the rumor is now paper straws are toxic. Surprised they’re still being used. I ordered the pot roast dip sandwich and the wife ordered the hot Turkey sandwich. They hit the table and The food was delicious. That’s kinda where the satisfaction ended. After we finished we waited and waited for the waitress to come back to ask for napkins that we never had and a refill of this “bottomless” fountain drink. After about 10 more minutes we were finished with our sandwiches and had greasy fingers still waiting for those napkins to show up. I went ahead and pulled my wallet out so I wouldn’t have to wait even longer for her to show back up. Finally a drink came….no napkins. I had to again ask for the napkins. She walked off. My back was to her. My wife was watching her and said “I think she’s doing this on purpose.” She walked all around with a handful of napkins seemingly going everywhere but my table. Finally I got those napkins and was able to sign the receipt with the tiny tip that she earned. The “bottomless” drinks actually mean one tiny 10oz drink and hassle to get any more it seems. We stayed there well over an hour more than we should have just waiting on things. Not a good experience. Again we loved the food though.

My fam and I love trying new places. On our way to Tullahoma, I did some googling and picked this lunchonett out of the listings. We can't rave enough about this little place. The food and atmosphere were amazing! If you want an out of the way place, this is the 1...

The food is very good. Was there the other day and ordered a 7-up float, the 7-up was hot when they brought it to the table. Was not happy about it.

This is an adorable little cafe in the heart of Tullahoma! The atmosphere is dripping with nostalgia. They have a great variety of sodas and desserts. The menu isn’t too bad either. I dropped to 3 stars because of the lunch food. I got a grilled cheese sandwich ($7) with chips. It was a subpar grilled cheese unfortunately. I indulged in the blondie brownie which was delicious and intoxicatingly sweet. All in all, I would probably go again. But from my first impression, the lunch food is average and the dessert is fantastic.

Possibly could have been a 5 star, possibly, if I had a 1 1/2 or 3 hrs to have lunch. Or maybe it was just the invisible suit I wore that day🤔?

Nice little place. Some of the food is great. Milkshake was bland. Liked the egg salad but not the chicken salad. Hot sandwiches are good.

This place was delicious! Such a classic stop in a small town with some rich history. Could use a little more variety for lunch options but what we got was tasty and enjoyed. Great service, good food specials and lots of dessert options including a few soda floats that looked delicious (we will be back to try those)! Only complaint is that we spent $5.50 for the sundrop cake and were disappointed to see how small the slice was. I get that it's one of their speciality desserts but $5.50 seemed a bit steep for what we received. It was tasty though! Really love that they are a local shop invested in their community. Picture included to show how they give back.

This was the first stop at the Sundrop Shoppe and we had the BLT and Chicken Salad sandwich. Both were very tasty and quite filling! We really like the menu options as everything looked like something we wanted to try. We will definately be visiting more often.

Worst sun drop cake I ever had! I drove 20 miles to pick it up and got all the way home to find that it was burnt and there was no icing on it at all. I called and the lady tried to tell me they always look like that. I've eaten this cake there MANY times. I know exactly what it's supposed to look and taste like. This cake tastes burnt and so dry you can't swallow it without taking a drink with each bite. The worst $27 I've ever spent. They're lucky I live so far away or I'd be throwing a fit in the dining room getting a new cake right about now!

  • 4/5 Dave W. 1 year ago on Google
They could have a bigger variety of lunch items but that’s minor. Great food. Service was quick and not crowded (late lunch). The grilled pimento cheese with bacon and the loaded potato soup we’re very good. We will definitely go back

Not only have I visited several times, I have brought others with me. This is the greatest thing since...Sundrop. Paige's staff is fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you have never tried the Sundrop cake with the George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey glaze, you might've missed out on one of life's little treasures. The cheesecake had this amazing texture of lightness that almost reminded me more of key lime pie, which I also like. I can't say enough nice about this little gem. If I had one complaint, it's that they're only open 10-3 Tuesday-Saturday, but I won't complain about it--it just makes me appreciate it more 😉

We stopped for breakfast. Our first time here. It's a cute place. Food was good and reasonably priced. Employees friendly. And, this may sound strange, but even the bathroom was nice! Very clean and spacious.

I've never been here before, so I was very anxious to go after hearing how great it was. The food really was good. I had the Club, and the rest of our table had the Roast Beef Dip. None of us were unhappy with our food. The Sundrop Float for dessert and the Caramel Blondie were insanely good. As far as service. I'm not sure if they were short staffed that day, but the service was nothing to compliment. We got our order taken fairly quickly, but then it took almost 40 minutes for our sandwiches to be delivered. We let the server know that at that time, we would be having dessert. Our server never came back, so one person in our group went to the counter to get help. Our entire visit lasted over an hour and a half because, for whatever reason, perhaps they were short staffed. I will probably go back sometime because the food is really good, but in my case, if you need a quick bite between work hours, it might be tough to get in and out. Overall, it was not a bad experience and the place is clean and attractive, and even with the problems the staff is very nice.

5 Stars! Food and service have always been great. Mike is top notch, you will be hard pressed to find a friendlier, harder working, more knowledgable server anywhere in the area. Everything we have had is great, but I think our favorite would have to be the Pot Roast French Dip, but everything else I have had is good. Their specials never disappoint, either. We have had both the Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese and the Chicken Ceasar Salad when they have been offered. Simply delicious.

Went for breakfast, nothing exciting to write about. Coffee was good, syrup for pancakes had a wonderful flavor (actually the best part of the meal). Service was good, kitchen was slow (I believe they cook everythingto order, bacon takes awhile). A bit pricey for what you get, strikes me that the restaurant was set up more for tourists than locals.

The food I've tried is good it's kinda expensive but not too bad. The biggest problem is each time I have went there has been some kind of problem where they tell me they can't open yet. It seems they have alot of internal issues they should get fixed. They should probably just close the store down in the meantime to get everything up and running correctly. I mean what's the point in even having an opening time if there is always a problem where you can't open? The last time I went they said they didn't have servers so they couldn't serve me. Which I didn't really understand why she couldn't just give me the food but ok. The time before that I was told they were having problems with their machines and these 2 times were less than a week a part. I hate that it's like this cause I do enjoy the food.

My husband and I have been wanting to eat here since they opened just hadn’t had the chance. I finally got the chance the other day to eat here with my MIL and I just have to say I was NOT disappointed at all! Service is great, food was absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to take my husband so he won’t be mad at me anymore. 🤣

I waited a while before the waitresses acknowledged me even though I was sitting at the counter. I ordered the half chicken salad sandwich with a cup of soup, there was maybe a tablespoon of chicken salad on the bread, the tomato soup was good though but for paying 8 dollars for that I left hungry,

Carried granddaughter and wife to lunch there today. Wife and I had chicken salad and fruit plate which was very good. Granddaughter had pimento cheese sandwich plate. Sandwich had far too much pimento cheese on it to the point the cheese overtook the sandwich. Couldn't eat it. She had sundrop fountain drink and we had tea. Both of them had chocolate ice cream to eat for dessert. The wife bought a pair of socks to benefit the Alzheimer's Society and a Sun Drop t-shirt for the granddaughter and the total bill was over $60.00. No further intentions of returning to eat there any time soon. Service was less than stellar as well.

The food and atmosphere are excellent! Being a huge Sundrop person I was in heaven. The only downside is that the service was slow. This is no fault of the waiters, but they were clearly understated in the dining area. I’ll be back, hopefully with some faster service.
