What a wonderful trip down memory lane! This place isn't just a cultural Museum, you can actually walk down the street and see the history. Beautiful murals supplement the two historical and cultural centers in this area. A must-see for those who are interested in in Hidden Afro-American history history

Definitely worth the trip. It's extremely fascinating to learn about the untold or more so quiet history of America that played a major roll in the history of your people. I'm thankful it has been preserved and we are able to learn the truths of what happened. It's definitely an eye opening experience that EVERYONE should experience at some point in their life.

Within two blocks, we visited the cultural center, passed a historic church, saw half a dozen murals, toured the new museum, and ate at an authentic soul food restaurant. In the Black Wall Street area, you have opportunities to support black-owned businesses and learn the important history of Tulsa's Race Massacre. I especially recommend visiting both sides of the freeway and going inside the Greenwood Cultural Center. The community was divided by the freeway construction, including tearing down landmark buildings, so visiting both sides gives you a fuller experience of the area. The Greenwood Cultural Center has been there for decades and we made a point of visiting out of respect for their commitment to the community. It is a functioning community center, so visitors need to quietly read the information or watch a documentary in the lobby so as to not disturb the activities and library. Also recommended are seeing the outside of Vernon AME Church, eating at Wanda J's Next Generation Restaurant, and experiencing the new Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center.

Nice area to walk around and learn some tragic history. Look out for Chicago Dave and he’ll share a story or two.

Untold history is still history when you take time out to gain the knowledge.

Was worth going to from a historical standpoint. Some great shops and museums and displays. Would be a cool place to see a ball game when there is one

Living in Tulsa for close to 10 years Ans being part of a running group, I have passed through this district a ton of times but not taken the opportunity to learn the history behind the place. I got to do that with family this weekend and I can promise it’s an experience everyone should have

The church and cultural center are just outside of the Oklahoma state university. There is a huge wall mural, a memorial and plaques giving information. A short walk away is an historical museum and more info regarding Black Wall Street. There are two benches with the same plaque. I sat on both and read the writing. Very powerful. They have really tried to keep this area at the forefront of everyone's mind.

This is Historic Greenwood, Google and many others do Not want to give it, its proper name!!!! Maybe, I should say Historic Greenwood Avenue!!!! But, reality tells me this was & is part of a district East, North, and West, miles of stores and custom built homes!!!!

A very moving and haunting place. A great lesson of people trying to erase their embarrassing history and people pushing back against repression. BLM

Wish there was more wall street. Not sure if it because they destroyed everything back than or throughout times.

This is a awesome event. Learning the history of what took place here was gruesome and horrible but I'm glad an event to commemorate the survivors and those that lost their lives due to the disease racism 😒

It was an amazing experience. Picture below shows the only brick left after they were burned and bombed out of their homes and businesses.
