First time in here and the aesthetic was beautiful! The food was also really good too! We came in right at the end of happy hour, they had great prices on margaritas and appetizers! Great place to eat downtown! And they have special events some nights too.

Love Elote Cafe..hubby has been taking me for years and I love the food, the staff, the atmosphere- did I mention the food already? Chips Guacamole, Puffy Tacos, Let your "taste buds" be willing to try anything they have on the menu! I have never had a bad meal- ever! That's almost impossible to say/mean- but this is true diamond is such a great restaurant! We love coming here and enjoying (sometimes) live wrestling ( I don't know if they still do this) Definitely check it out! It's alot of fun- Happy Hour!! 5$ Ritas' 3$ Bottles ( imported- Corona, Dos' other imports) I did try a new beer and I was not disappointed! It was great! Encourage anyone to try- if you have been here then you know its really good! Happy Hunting! 😊

Where do I begin. The atmosphere is 10/10. The decor is amazing. I was so excited to get some tasty food and I hate to say I left disappointed. If you want a place to go for just chips and salsa and drinks. You are good to go here. But, if you wanted something off the menu to resemble even slightly the name they gave it, this isn’t it. Our group of 3 ordered the Elote House Queso. The waitress did warn that it was cream cheese base and that held true but just no flavor. But, that’s fine it was just queso. I ordered the puffy taco plate - 1 chicken 1 beef with rice and beans on the side. The rice is the uncle bens spanish rice - not good but fine you didn’t want to make rice. The black beans were sour to the taste and almost spoiled tasting. I did tell the waitress about it. Her response is below. The puffy part was not there. These are not even close to puffy tacos so just don’t call them that. The tacos came with lots of toppings but no flavor. Just okay. Just flat oily tortillas not puffed. My husband ordered the sweet potatoes as a side and they were black. We thought they were meatballs haha but just really over cooked canned sweet potatoes. And finally the elote off the cob side. What a shame to even call it elote or off the cob. It’s frozen corn with the cheese and a little lime. No crema and it’s not creamy. There was no crunch just over cooked frozen corn. I was happy to pay the meal because it was edible but we didn’t eat our plates. So I asked the waitress- why do they use frozen corn for the elote? She said, I don’t know. This isn’t an authentic restaurant. I said yeah I know but why use frozen when you offer on the cob. She said well we just don’t. I said well that’s okay I get it. But, the black beans are sour and kinda bad tasting so maybe let the kitchen know? She said yeah, I can see that. They do taste sour. But, we’re an acquired taste. That was all I needed to hear. Read the other reviews. They talk about the service being great but not specifics about much food options.

Great place for a quick lunch in downtown Tulsa! Today’s special was Puffed Tacos - sides were rice and sweet potatoes. It was definitely a unique combo. The chips & queso also unique. The queso was a cream cheese base with their salsa. Chips were perfect for dipping!

Quiet Tuesday night but wow, this place doesn't disappoint. The food was top notch, very interesting with complex flavor profiles and diverse options. The salsa trio is a must.

I love Elote. It’s perfect for delivery, take out, or dining in. I was ordering take out like weekly at some point. The fresh made taco bowl for the taco salad with the beyond taco meat and vegan crema is just TOO GOOD. I love the vegan puffy tacos too. The farmers market margaritas have to be the best drink in Tulsa. My only note is that during events like Cinco de Mayo there aren’t usually grab and gos for the vegans - which bums me out cuz I expect Elote to take care of me. But I love this place.

Excellent! This restaurant is one of our all time favorites. Fun place. The food is very good. Elote offers high quality ingredients. Many vegan options. I prefer to go to Elote during the week. Staff is always friendly and very accommodating. I like the veggie tacos, vegan enchiladas, and the veggie taco salad. Some of my favorite ingredients are the sweet potatoes, black beans, and squash. There are so many good choices. My husband likes the chicken burrito and the quesadillias. We like to get the various salsas they have - the hottest one is the punisher. It's hot. Casual, fair prices, locally owned, Tulsa favorite. Downtown on Boston. Downtown parking is free on the weekends. 1rst photo - veggie taco salad (vegan cheese - cashew, my preference). 2nd photo - husband's taco salad, I don't remember which one he got. 3rd photo - veggie tacos (no cheese), mixed vegetables, black beans. 4th photo - husband's chicken tacos, mixed vegetables, black beans. 5th photo - vegan Enchiladas Tomatillos. I asked to have sweet potatoes added to the enchiladas. No cheese.

Elote is one of the best Mexican food places in Tulsa. Very unique tacos and an incredible selection of tequilas! Like incredible!! I’m pretty sure there were like 100 or so different tequilas! The food was extremely great! I loved those sweet potatoes! Service was fantastic as well!!! Go there! Go there now!

Went for the Vegan Chef Challenge. We enjoyed a few of their options. We really liked the Vegan Queso and the Empanada the best of all we ate. The refried black beans were tasty. We also enjoyed a coconut margarita 🍹 😋 yum! Great place.

Food was ok I bit down on a chicken bone in my burrito. Upon talking with some of the servers I found out that the owner has 3 other resturants, but decides to pay their workers the minimum for service workers which is 2.13 per hr plus tips. Come on and pay them a living wage.

I’m sure this place has good vegan food (because my sides were good), but the entree I ordered was not tasty. The vegan queso ruined the whole burrito for me. And then I subtracted a star for being charged a different price than I saw on the menu. Maybe there’s a note where if you change the veggie option to vegan it would be extra, but I did NOT see it… I was charged $15.29 for a burrito that was $9.99. Just overall disappointed.

They have great vegan options. Some of my friends are vegan and they were able to pick from many options. Margaritas were good as well! We got the skinny margaritas. Outdoor seating was nice and had a great atmosphere. The inside seating left something to be desired and the (reason for the minus star). The guacamole was small for the price as well but it was good!

We went here before the Shania Twain concert a couple weeks ago. The service started out good at the host stand, however once seated it was nearly 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Now, I will say it seemed that the girl who was in my section was the only server for an entire row, and to her credit she was hustling. Once she finally came over she was very sweet, but that was the last time I saw her for another 20 minutes. Friends come and we ordered- it was another 45 minutes until we got our food. I got the tamales and they were just okay. They seemed a bit dry, however the beans were really good. I had a basic margarita which was ~meh. It seemed watered down and overly sweet. The decor is great and it looks like a cool place, however my experience wasn’t the greatest.

Queso was awesome and warmed chips is always soooo much tastier. Got a combination plate with a beef puffy taco, pork tamale, rice&beans. VERY good food and the kitchen prepared it very quickly. Hibiscus margarita was also very delicious. Pricing is very reasonable. Will definitely be going back!

The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because our service was very lacking. We waited over 10 min to give a drink order 15 before we actually got drinks. Waitress seemed VERY distracted. I had to go inside and ask for my bill in which case I was told to go outside and wait. I saw our waitress standing and chatting in the back. We will be back for the food but hope that the wait staff gets better before then.

Editing my review to state that dinner tonight and service was awful. Our server asked how things were but didn't stick around to hear it. I finally waived him down to show him the lagoon of liquid that my salad was served in. Highly disappointed. My boyfriend's burrito was also served cold so I'm not quite sure what's going on there. Seems to be having service issues and kitchen issues. They did take my salad off the ticket but I just won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it.

Great atmosphere overall and the bartender provided excellent service. I got enchiladas and thought they were a little bland. Also got the strawberry reaper salsa and found it very bland.

In Tulsa for a couple days and was told to stop here for some Mexican food. Although not authentic Mexican food, it is still VERY good. I start judging Mexican restaurants by their chips and salsa, Elote was definitely to a good start with their tasty salsa. I ordered two tacos, a tamale, and beans. The beef and port inside the tacos and tamale was very tasty. It was tender, well seasoned, and best of all...they did not skimp on the meat. Food was well priced, the atmosphere was quirky, but entertaining. Lots of wrestling themed pictures and decor, I enjoyed looking around waiting for my food. I recommend checking this place out.

Good food, lighting/seating inside is bright with neon colors- patio is the way to go. Hit or miss with the service, but generally alright. Pass on the salsa, queso and guac are great. Parking is never an issue!

Had lunch at Elote today and it was simply the best experience. The bartender ended up waiting on us on the patio even though they weren't doing table service. He was so thoughtful and accommodating... all for a less than $10 meal, which was delicious and gluten free. I hadn't eaten here in two years, but I'll definitely be back again soon!

Stopped in this last week with a party of six, Kayla was our server/bartender and she was so amazing! Best attitude we’ve had from a server and very knowledgeable about the menu. This isn’t an authentic Mexican restaurant but the food is top tier for the price. Definitely recommend the salmon puffy tacos w elote! 🌮

Recently went here during a margarita and taco bar crawl. This was by far my favorite stop along the bar crawl. Their puffy chicken tacos were absolutely amazing. I can only imagine that the other protein variations were equally as delicious. The service was exceptional and their margaritas were bomb! During our margarita and taco bar crawl this place had by far the best margaritas along the route. They are on the list for the next bar crawl that I'm going to do in October and I'm definitely going to eat here and have a few margaritas!

Catered a big order of puffy tacos, guac, queso and dip for a baby shower and it was so great and easy! Packed up nicely and easy to transport. They even sent special food labels we could use. Everyone loves their puffy tacos and this made throwing a party so simple. The online serving suggestions helped so much and we had the perfect amount of food. Highly recommend catering from Elote for your next get together of any size!

Group of 4 went on 7/29 when we were in town for a concert. Easily accommodated our group during a busy dinner shift. Coconut margarita and strawberry margaritas were AMAZING!! Our server was Kayla, who was sassy and funny; we loved her! The food was amazing - we got puffy tacos with elite corn off the cob; it was delicious. Definitely will go back the next time we’re in town!

It was our waitresses first night but she was super sweet. My friend and i really enjoyed ourselves. We were seated in the outdoor patio! We boxed our leftovers and wrote a note on top of their boxes and we left them on our table, and two of the many many homeless folks gathered them right up. Reminded us both of how blessed we are to get to choose where our next meal comes from. We had a conversation with one young man after i told him that i left some "still hot" tamales. We ran into him again as we came out of the ice creamery and he was very thankful. Life is good!

Savi is Awesome! She's very engaging and attentive! She had several big tops and our service was spot on. Our drinks stayed filled and our food was hot! Ask for Savi!
