The Mayo Hotel while beautiful isn't worth the stay. While the staff were the most helpful and kind people the hotel was a huge letdown. The first thing that was wrong they gave us a 1 king room bed instead of the suite with pull out couch we booked. Although they accommodated us so my friend didn't have to sleep on the foot stool. The accommodation was a loose mattress they laid on the floor. What ever we have slept in worse places in a hotel, But all the bugs in the room were something that was a bit unacceptable. Wasps, Spiders, Moths this was terrible! I was informed sever times 13 times to be exact their is no other room for us so we would have to "deal" with it. I asked for anything to help out like free drinks discounted rate anything and was told " We wont be doing that because we don't ever do that." I hope your stay is better than mine but it was my first and last stay here I will be recommending friends and family to avoid this place at all costs. Pictures include 2 of several wasps I had to kill the last of spider webs I had to clear out of the bathroom and the floor mattress we were provided.

From the get go was the service we had I was sold. Treated us like royalty. Helping with suitcases to getting us our corner room like asked. Definitely a recommendation to others. The room was 1 King bed Suite and Definitely a beautiful room just walking into it. Rooftop bar/hangout area was beautiful and can see lot of city life from top views of the Mayo. Definitely will be visiting again in future when in area.

Historic. Iconic. Beautiful. We stayed in a beautiful room for the weekend. Clean. Friendly staff. The Mayo is Very close to the BOK Center, and all things downtown! Lots of great eating spots within 5 minutes or less. If you haven't been, you need to stop in and at least check this place out. Rooftop Bar on Penthouse level. Route 66 stop! Living on Tulsa Time. Enjoy some of my pics!

We attended the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships and stayed at the Mayo Hotel because it was within walking distance of the BOK Center. We had problems with the shower drain and the noisy heating unit in the room, but the speedy maintenance man corrected the issues quickly. The housekeepers were also great, and the receptionists were so helpful with restaurant choices. The location was perfect for walking to the many excellent places to eat. Thank you, Mayo Hotel, for the most enjoyable stay in Tulsa!

Pros: We had a dinner party here, it was very nice. The food was good, dessert was amazing, and the staff are absolutely the best. We did not stay the night but the rooms are nice. Cons: Parking sucks, and the valet line was packed. Took nearly an hour to move 3 blocks, but that's not really on the Mayo.

I am in Tulsa every month on business and stayed at the Mayo when my usual hotel was booked. Turned out to be a great choice, and a huge thanks to Mike Drew, Manager, for upgrading my room when the first had no outlets for my laptop except for behind the sofa. The upgraded room was perfect and a definite return visit. One suggestion would be for more food/drink outlets within the hotel.

Great experience at the coffee shop. Bill took great care of us and served the best espresso martini I've ever had. Michael, the hotel manager, was also warm and visited with us about our stay to make sure they exceeded our expectations.

Great location in downtown Tulsa. I admittedly have not stayed or lived here as i've only been here for a variety of events in the upstairs bar area but I have always enjoyed those events. The staff is top notch and the views can't be beat anywhere downtown.

My husband and I booked a honeymoon suite on our wedding night but they upgraded us to the presidential suite! It was really awesome! The room was the size of an apartment. We had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. The only thing that was a little weird was that they didn't have 24 hour room service. But we did utilize the Starbucks downstairs. Side note: There was a bar on the rooftop that was kind of neat, they were playing weird music though so we didn't stay long. But super chill atmosphere!

Stayed here several times and it always is a good time. I love the architecture and history of the building. Rooftop bar is cool and great for sunsets. only thing i wish they had was a pool.

This is the coolest place! (And I grew up near here). Historic but so comfortable, clean, and memorable. Takes you back in time with all the history on the walls! You need to check it out even if you don’t stay here. Feel like a β€œTulsa King!”

Best hotel I've been to in Tulsa. I was on a business trip and had an issue with a third-party booking company that had screwed up our reservation. The manager Mike Drew was very helpful and not only corrected our reservation, but also helped my coworker who is recovering from surgery with his bags. A+ for customer service, and a great room service menu as well. Would stay again!

This hotel definitely has that nostalgic feel, straight out of a movie. But the rooms have been remodeled and look really nice. The only downside is that the heater is in the room so you could hear it turn on and off all night long which can interrupt your sleep.

A historical beauty, with tons of modern elegances that rivals the era’s most well known towers. Gorgeous rooftop that was redecorated with better seating and even live events on the occasion! The rooftop serves some delicious drinks and has a great selection of local brews on draft.

October 2023 - After dinner at a nearby fine steak house, we went here for a night cap to see what was special about this place. I can't speak for the rooms, as we were staying just down the street at another popular hotel, but their history has some famous people who have stayed here. For non guests, the rooftop bar is open on Thursdays and Fridays. We went there on a Friday because my partner watched the "Tulsa King" show on the airplane on the way there and it was his birthday already in Europe. Not impressive to me. Extremely loud speakers with a DJ playing dance music makes it a place to leave quickly unless you're under 30 at best, very intoxicated or hard of hearing. Not much of a view as most of it is blocked by the cement railing. We did get a few photos by putting our hands through the barrier... Bar food menu. Two drinks cost $38. bucks. This was my experience, however, there might be a totally different interpretation for hotel guests on private nights.

Food was tasty, plate appeal was Not there. The Hotel was a work of art and decor. The event was neutral to keep every one happy in giving to the poor Peruvian Children. This event was a legacy carry on!! Personally, if u believe all good things come from God, why Not mention HIM in your closing eyes pondering etc exercise. HE Is the maker of ALL Living Good & Great things!!!!

We stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the convention center and it having been a top tier property in the past (we had stayed there many times before 2020). This hotel has gone downhill very fast and is in desperate need of a complete renovation and expansion of its services if it hopes to survive. We had one room that had glazed windows that let in zero light and another that was like a basic apartment with a full giant kitchen (but had zero basic kitchen items). Neither was welcoming and both seemed tired and run-down. Food service is sorely lacking with nothing beyond 9pm. It is not the hotel's fault that Tulsa's downtown is now filled with homeless people or that the city appears to have very little police presence. However, it is the hotel's fault that they continue to use a highly questionable valet service. Our car's glove compartment and center console was completely torn apart, and no attempt to even try to disguise this was made when they returned the car! It was obvious the valets and the hotel could care nothing about their patron's vehicles and belongings. We are just fortunate we had nothing of value in the vehicle! Stay away!

Maria P. was amazing and thoughtful. She gave us splendid dinner suggestions and went over the top by making us a reservation. On top of that, she gave us the history of the hotel. It was a nice staycation. Thanks! Ryan & Jennie

We stayed at the Mayo during the massive power outage that occurred last month because of the horrific wind storm. With the exception of two very fine valet gentleman- Walter and Edgar- our experience was extremely disappointing. We will not return. The "suite" we had was tired, worn, and wildly expensive. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. The place looked dirty. The bed linens smelled oily and as if they had been stashed in a closet for months. The kitchen was equipped with...NOTHING! No plates, no silverware, no glasses, no pots, no pans, no napkins, no dish soap, no nothing. Incredible. I understand the attempt at the "retro" look but this is the proverbial lipstick-on-a-pig-type thing. And Mr Manager Jim: your comment that you could have "sold" that dump for $1200.00/ night was beyond offensive. You should be giving us our money back.

The first time I came here was for my best friend's wedding reception in 2007. The atmosphere was top notch then and it still is as of last Friday. The history goes deep with this hotel including major historical figures that graced their presence way back when. The rooms are really nice and it would be safe to call them very comfortable apartments or condos. The great ballroom open area is an impressive sight. There is a lot more to say and I plan on adding more in the future.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The history, the ambiance and the location are perfect for anyone wanting to get the feel of historical Tulsa. It’s a wonderfully old building that has been upgraded to luxury standards. Would recommend to all who want an old world feel with every amenity!

We went to the rooftop bar because we heard it had great views. We wanted the view at sunset so we went around 7 pm and it wasn't busy at all. There were 2 bartenders. One was nice, and one could care less that we were there. We ordered a martini and said well vodka was fine. We didn't expect the Mayo to have such awful cheap vodka as the well vodka. BUT we realized she still charged the upcharge for Skyy vodka after she gave us cheap vodka. We also asked if they had food we could order up there, and we were told there is a small bites menu, and someone outside had it. I guess they only had 1 menu to look at. We never saw the menu. The second, nice bartender, made my drink and it was very good but after just one drink, we decided to leave. The view was nice, but the service was unacceptable.

Beautiful historic hotel that was great with the kids. I was skeptical about bringing children but they had a great time. We got the King suite and the kids loved the large pull out sofa and all the space. Beautiful architecture and great piece of Tulsa history. This is an excellent place for a staycation if you live in or around Tulsa. Only complaint would be the lack of USB charging in the room. So remember your charging port. But this is to be expected from a historic hotel. Phones, outlets, lamps were still dated. Note that the only parking is valet parking. Valet is excellent and with in and out privileges we had no issues.

Stayed at the Mayo Hotel this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. Great service, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Maria at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back and recommend you check this place out. Convenient location in the heart of Tulsa.

Update: They finally reached out and resolved the issue which is nice. Make sure you check the bill carefully before checking out. They charged me for 2 nights of valet even though we street parked. They also won't respond when you try to sort it out after. Great experience other than that.

I had the pleasure of getting married at The Mayo and it was all things perfect. Their WHOLE team is professional, kind and truly want your wedding day to be perfect. From the hotel rooms, food, drinks, and staff the whole weekend for me and our guests were incredible.

The Mayo is amazing! Highly recommended. Classic style, beautiful rooms, and an incredible rooftop bar! But the best part of the Mayo is the staff! Wonderful people! Maria and Mike D. Did everything they could to accommodate us after I made a mistake booking our room. They were so pleasant and very helpful! Their hard work saved our evening!

A truly stunning lobby, friendly welcome, and large room await you at this historic hotel. Rooms are large, but not particularly luxurious (finishes seem chosen more for ease of maintenance than to pamper guests, which is fine with me).

What a magnificent stay!!! The Mayo was beautiful! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The valet service was amazing. I’ve never felt so cared for! The lobby is so welcoming and the soft relaxing music is so soothing. What a great place to stay several days to relax! We had Starbucks coffee & the best breakfast sandwiches from The Mark at the Mayo in the morning. If I worked downtown Tulsa I’d spend all my coffee breaks there. We’ll certainly be back when we can. Love it!!

Historic structure that has been renovated beautifully. Nice rooftop bar overlooking the city. I wish they had their own parking lot, but this was only a small inconvenience (maybe they did and I just missed it?).

We hosted our wedding reception here this past June. The event team went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience for us and our guests. The rooms are gorgeous, and very clean. We highly recommend both the hotel and the event space!

Absolutely phenomenal hotel. The rooms are outrageously spacious and feel like proper apartments with full kitchens and several rooms. You enter the hotel and you’re immediately greeted by an impressive visual, it just looks really cool. I have no more words for it. Really good hotel!

  • 5/5 Mark R. 1 year ago on Google
The room was surprisingly big! Like huge! More apartment than hotel room. Our room was very clean, the bed was soft...just a nice comfortable vibe. The shower had multiple shower heads. The location was excellent. Within walking distance to eateries, or quick Uber ride to more restaurants

Attended a wedding here and some of the party checked out rooms for the weekend. It was absolutely beautiful but there were a couple issues with the rooms themselves as they were not updated for things such as USB phone charging. That would have been just fine if not for the outlets not working either which left one of the guests without a phone. The only other issue was there was another wedding happening at the same time and while we could not hear them when we were in our area with the door closed, they apparently could hear us and came to ask us to keep it quiet. This was a bit of an annoyance as they had reserved the large hall with the beautiful stairway, and we were in one of the smaller rooms across the mezzanine. I don't know if this was a soundproofing issue or an other wedding party issue. The great thing about the weekend was the staff was amazing! The ladies who cleaned the wedding venue were on top of it the whole time and even helped to quickly clean it once the wedding was finished so we were able to get everything broken down and cleaned up for removal not even an hour after everyone left. Since I was driving home and so tired from the day, this was so wonderful and those of us in the wedding party are still grateful to those two women. The rooms were also well taken care of and the cleaning staff we met as we were setting up were friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience so much better.
