One of the best places we have ever stayed. The staff, service, food, room everything was outstanding! I don’t normally leave reviews but wanted to! All the little extra things they do and have there just make it feel so special. Everything we ate was incredible, the staff were so lovely and looked after us beautifully and the rooms and grounds are stunning. Highly recommend Desa Hay! A short drive out of Canggu centre makes it a lovely little oasis. Can’t recommend enough!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Desa Hay for 7 nights. From start to finish our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The hotel grounds and room was a masterpiece of design, comfort and sustainability. What truly set Desa Hay apart was the impeccable attention to detail. SIMPLY SPECTACULAR. My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have been more impressed. Our villa was beautiful and all the little touches (tailoring the mini bar to our tastes, our favourite music playing when we arrived and many others) were amazing. Cherry on top was them offering for us to spend one of our nights up in the mountains at their sister cabins in Munduk. Best service we've had anywhere in the world. Recommend as an absolute must.

This was the best hotel we had during our honeymoon in Bali. They really think of EVERYTHING here. We have visited many luxury hotels, but were honestly blown away by the service and rooms at Desa Hay. The cabins are amazing and really give you a luxury feeling. The restaurant is also very good and the smoothies are the best we’ve had in Bali. We felt sad that we had only booked three nights and are definitely planning on going back sometime in the (near) future!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Desa Hay. It's a small oasis in bustling Canggu since it's a bit east of the beach area, thus avoiding the never-ending beach area construction projects. I especially enjoyed hot baths in the stone tub outside of the rainforest shower. The tub is situated under long awning, so even if it rains, you can take soak in the tub (using the provided bath salts) feeling like a part of the jungle, thanks to the landscaping. The feeling is magical around sunrise time. You can hear birds chirping all over. It's even more magical right before the rain. Like most Bali hotels, staff are attentive. At the time, I was having a slight case of "Bali belly," so I couldn't try the variety of foods on offer. But I tried and liked the mushroom soup and some healthy drinks at the hotel restaurant. Scott, the owner, his wife, and manager all stopped by our table and gave us a chance to ask questions about the property, local places we'd like to visit, and some restaurant recommendations. It was a nice personal touch you usually only encounter at smaller venues. I highly recommend Desa Hay especially if you want some down time during a long trip to Bali. You will definitely enjoy it!

Impeccable hotel. Design is meticulously crafted and considered, in every aspect - solid timber, slate tiles and large stone baths with exceptional sound system creating a mood on arrival. From every angle of the room, the mature leafy green garden can be seen. The aesthetic is meticulous, traditional balinese style modernified stylishly and timelessly. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love, with orchids growing from trees and a mature tropical garden. Away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu, yet close enough by scooter to the action, the hotel is a true sanctuary. Nothing is too much for the staff, allowing us a late meal despite the kitchen having just closed. The personal service was extended by a meeting with the owners, Scott and Julia who were lovely. We cannot thank you enough and look forward to returning soon. Photos do not do this piece of heaven justice; you must see and experience the feeling of magic, when you walk through the doors. Calming and heavenly.

The attention to detail and the thoughtful amenities made my stay truly memorable. The online check-in process was seamless, with personalized options like choosing your pillow, music genre preferences, and even options for your favorite gin, vodka or rum etc. The landscaping around the hotel and in the room was beautifully done, creating a relaxing ambiance. I also enjoyed the presence of numerous birds, adding to the serene atmosphere.

The room is wonderful, a place where you do not want to leave, a harmonious and balanced design that only transmits peace, all the details are taken care of to the maximum and the cleanliness is exquisite, you can relax in the natural stone bathtub or take a dip in the small private pool. You can also enjoy a wonderful meal in the restaurant, with a personal that makes your stay incredible, the food and drinks are delicious! We were fortunate to meet the owners of the hotel who made our experience even better by recommending unique and special places that made our stay in Desa Hay the best of our trip in Bali.

Beautiful place, the garden, pool, room and surroundings. 10 out of 10. Fantastic breakfast, floating if you like. Everything spot on. And especially to mention the wonderful staff, very professional and sweet. Really a hidden gem.

Just got back from Desa Hay in Bali, Canggu and wow, what a place! The gardens are stunning – like walking into a real-life paradise. Everywhere you look there's something beautiful growing, and it feels super peaceful. The whole place is built with natural and precious materials that make it feel really authentic and earth-friendly. It's like they thought of everything to make it both gorgeous and good for the planet. Scott, the owner who welcomed us, was amazing. Super friendly and always there to help out with anything we needed. He knows Bali inside out, so we got some great tips from him. The breakfast is another thing you've got to experience – so much choice and everything tastes fresh and delicious. And if you’re into wine, you’re in for a treat. They’ve got this great selection that was just the perfect way to end our days. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Where to begin! This place was so amazing, I will definitely be coming back if I’m back on the island. First of all, the staff was so amazing and kind, the service was wonderful. They have a team that chats with you on a what’s app group so you can order food, request service, etc. all in one place. The restaurant food was so yummy and the prices were amazing with US dollar conversion rates. A lot of the food was tapa style but breakfast was included daily, and the attention to detail was incredible. They had a balanise massage service that could be sent to your room, they also had a flower bath as well. The amenities were endless - the infinity pool and hammocks in the garden make for a bunch of mini spaces to relax and rejuvenate! It was also really safe! I loved staying at Desa Hay and would recommend it to couples and solo travelers :)
