Great bass and trout lake!

Lovely lake for kayaking. Pretty busy with jet skis and motor boats in the summer in the afternoon

Big bass, I almost guarantee there is a state record smallmouth in this lake. I’ve seen 7, 8, 9 pound largies caught. Saw what was possible a 12 swimming past my boat today couldn’t get anything in front of them in time. But this is a land of giants for sure very well managed fishery. Heavy recreational boat traffic but hit it in the morning or on a weekday and your in for a good time.

I have seen cleaner lakes but going out on the water is nice

Good place to swim. Stays a little chilly even in very hot weather

Terrible service lake was cool but the manager totally humiliated us in front of everyone. He accused us of things we didn’t do and he would not give us his bosses name.

Black lake is a beautiful swimming spot; also equipped with a boat launch on another side of the lake, its got a big play toy for kids, barbeque and lounging areas as well as a beautiful start night view if you find time to stay past night fall, all in all I would visit black lake if you are considering going swimming or even just enjoying the nature and sun.
