New to the area, saw an ad for produce sale and a great price. Huge sign at produce table with same sale price. Checkout and notice my discount was not applied I asked Cashier and she said it probably is a digital coupon Never heard of it so she recommended I go to customer service for a price adjustment. Okay, at that point I had already paid the full price which was not posted anywhere near the item. Only 2 cashier's at customer service and one left while I waited in line. After 10 minutes and nobody coming to help I asked another employee to get more help. 8 minutes later another employee arrives. I explain I needed a price adjustment and apparently this is common with the digital sales. Come on Corporate. Either give a discount or Don't!!!! This shameful tactic is not worth shopping at your store. I will take my business elsewhere but want to inform others to be aware and save the headache. To ask people to use their member card, get an app, then download the coupon is extra ridiculous, especially when it's in the small print of your signs. 30 minutes wasted waiting in line for my credit😔 No fault of the employees and they were courteous but the customer service station is always understaffed according to other employees and customers ☹️

Addition May 2022: Yet another terrible pickup experience. I was sent a message that said they were running behind on my (small) order. Two hours later and making me late for what I had to do that night, I still had not received a message that the order was ready, so I called, and they said it had been ready the whole time but was just a glitch in their system. I find this surprising because I've done curbside at a lot of other Fred Meyers and have never had this issue. Then I get there, and my $40 order had only $9 worth of stuff that I was actually given. Part of it, two bags of potting soil, was the only reason I came here instead of Lacey like I usually do. Both of them were marked in stock, not even low stock or anything like that, and when I said some thing about it being too bad that they didn't have any potting soil, since I had been specific in my substitution request that any organic potting soil was fine (they carry multiple brands). The employee's response was that there may have been but nobody bothered to look because they were busy. The pickup area is literally in the middle of the potting soil area, so apparently this means they couldn't walk 2 feet and pick one of the other brands, which were in stock. So I got to do the shopping myself, making me even later. Absolutely horrible experience, even worse than when I had attempted this location in the past. Please just go to Lacey. You will be glad you did. 2021 review: I had uneventful, neutral experiences at this store pre-pandemic. During the pandemic, I've tried the curbside pickup several times, and every single time, even at "off" times, ALL of their pickup slots are full, and they're not quick once you get into a spot either (also not particularly friendly). I don't bother with this store anymore & go to the Lacey one instead, much quicker & friendlier with more products available too.

Went in today to purchase a new laptop, the associate at the counter was helpful abs did his best to offer me advice in picking out the model I wanted but after choosing the young man could not get the cabinet open to allow me to purchase said product. After calling two managers over and waiting 30mins with no success I left!! How can you run a business this way let alone a large corporate chain! This poor kid was not at fault this lands directly on management and not only did they lose a sale but a customer.

It's a cleaner more organized store than Walmart. But the pickup order shoppers don't give a dang about the shopping customers and don't move and walk right in front of me when I shop. It's happened a dozen times.

Purchase three (3) chicken tenders from the deli about 2:00 this afternoon to eat on a car trip through the state. When we got around to eating them, they were so salty we couldn’t do it. Now, the $5.37 we spent didn’t break our bank but if this was someone’s only meal of the day, it could be devastating.

I don’t think I have been anywhere to a similar market where the associates are as kind, warm, and friendly as Denise in produce. My youngest is always looking for her to say hi. Even when she is helping other customers, she goes well above and beyond what is defined as customer satisfaction. Thank you for being so genuine and making our shopping experience here even more enjoyable.

Nice store, just need to fix your cart corral things, they take up 2 or 3 spaces sometimes. Please fix them when you collect carts. 3 months later, nothing being done about the cart corrals. Obviously you don't read your reviews. Also when are you and Lacey's location going to paint your parking lots? Can't see the spaces anymore and people just park all over.

Good customer service, and huge selection. Very crowded, people literally running their carts into each other trying to go down aisles. Social anxiety nightmare.

I was introduced to Fred Meyer yesterday - owned by Kroger- with which I am very familiar. I love this store. It’s JCPenney, Best Buy, furniture store, and grocery store all in one!!!! It’s a fun place to shop and the prices seem reasonable. I look forward to going back. It also has a rewards program and gas station nearby to the store.

FM is becoming my go-to grocery store in Olympia/Tumwater. Great produce, variety in specialty items, organic products. The deli and prepared food case does not rise to the quality of Hagen's. I miss Central Market in Dallas at Lovers Ln and Greenville Ave and Whole Foods Market in Dallas and Austin. I've not found equivalent shopping in the PNW.

Great pharmacy, they always get us in and out every time. We have always had great customer service experiences here with their lovely staff. The only issue I have ever had is some long wait times for an employee to unlock the cabinet and pull infant formula. I understand that some bad eggs caused the formula to get locked away, but it is a pain in the rear for honest customers who just need food for their babies.

Went in to buy some jeans and all the Jean's are locked down. Like they used to do with leather jackets. No one in sight to help me. Next door nothing locked up walked right in go what I wanted. Tried to call and give my experience to the management staff, who clearly have sticks where they dont belong, and was told that they lose 15k a week in Jean when they're not locked up. Yeah right....

I went into the Tumwater Fred Meyer on Tuesday to take care of some business. I went to the customer service desk and stood and waited. The worker (whose name was Linda) didn't acknowledge or greet me. After a whole 8 minutes had elapsed, I said to her "Should I just come back at another time?". She glared at me and in a gruff voice replied, "I'M DOING A BILL PAY!". I've seldom ever felt so unwelcome in a store. I used to be a customer service instructor too, so this hit me extra hard. Someone with that sort of attitude has no business working in customer service.

I love the produce section. The displays always so colorful and fresh. Makes me want to buy my produce. The Deli selection is good, but often out of many products. The staff in deli are very helpful and kind. The bakery is lovely, filled with fresh delicious baked goods. The meat and seafood is where I have my issues with this store. The woman who work there are awful. Very rude and unhelpful. Almost like it pains them to help. Dairy is stocked hourly, so most times you find what you need. Pet food can be lacking. Floral is always a pleasant sight with a bright and fresh selection of bulbs. The garden outdoor area employees are always very helpful. Fred Meyer send to have streamlined the self-checkout process. So it's very easy. Besides the attitude of women who work meat and seafood, it's a lovely experience.

I won't even blame the prices, because that is very typical, and I don't have to let it bother me anymore. The food is very good and fresh, and I like it. The only problem that I have with this specific Fred Meyer store is that practically every employee and customer is antisocial, full of bad attitudes, and they have the most dull and careless personalities that I've ever seen. If that's how they are, then so be it, I'll just let them be, and I'm very glad that I don't work here, because I would be wasting my life around people with no soul. Maybe I could understand to a certain respect that every worker is unhappy because their lives are wasted to do something that serves no personal or greater financial purposes for them, and I know the feeling, which is why I don't work in a regular job, because it is not my life at all. Life is precious, and you have to enjoy it while you can, and even while you're young, but a job and its demanding responsibilities will take your life away from you in every way, spending every day doing unmeaningful work when you could instead be enjoying your time with relationships and love. If you miss your chance with the good things in life as that, you will never get them again, so find a way to be happy, and for a change, make others happy while you're at it, because everyone is pretty much spending their lives alone at work, so help them out. It would be a shame to waste our lives working without anything else to make our lives better. Other than this, the food is good.

I love this location! It’s always fully stocked with fresh products, and things are easy to find compared to other similar stores. I love the convenience of the self check out kiosks and always use them rather than a cashier. Their take-and-bake baguette is unique and one of the best!

I am a fan of Fred Meyer for sure! I like how the store is setup and I like the produce. Their produce lasts much longer than any grocery store in the area. They offer competitive prices and they usually have good coupons. Best to use the app and clip them accordingly. This helps alot with how high prices are with everything. I have also had good experiences with their customer service.

If Freddy’s (krogers)can afford to buy Safeway and Albertsons, maybe they could spend a few dollars cleaning their Tumwater store! Parking lot if full of debris as are shopping carts. Floors are filthy looking.

Somehow they always have some slightly different, fun things here compared to other grocery stores. It’s a big Fred Myer though and has everything you need. Well kept.

I shop at Fred Meyer all the time. Basically a nice store. One star is for the bulk food department. Tried to get some bulk foods out of the top shelf tubes last week. Food was stuck in many of them. Shook the heck out of some of them, still stuck. Told customer service about the problem. She would let the manager know. Went in this week and no change. Tried many tubes/bins again and nothing came out. Has the bulk food department been eliminated? A sign should be posted. Whoever's in charge of this department needs to check these tubes. Is the food so old it's stuck? If so, please refill them.

Love this place. Shelves are always neat and stocked. Healthy options. Staff seem to always be willing to help. Checkers are usually funny and engaging. I typically shop late and close to closing so I tend to interact with the checkers scheduled got that shift.

The guy in produce that has a bird growing in his beard sure is nice. Everyday he asks if he can detail my car for free. He really did a thorough job. You have a shopper for life.

Nancy is the reason I'm giving this 5 star review. Fred Meyers is my store I've shopped at for the past 25 years. Recently I've had horrible encounters with staff being very cold and rude. So I just stopped going to check out lines and honestly wanted to just go in and out talking to no one because the past few awful encounters had me leaving in a bad mood. But today I had to go to customer service because a product was leaking. Nancy was just so kind and honestly made my day with her kindness. She was genuine and went above and beyond. She is the best! Thank you Nancy!!

Usually I have a good experience at this store but that changed yesterday. My wife and I were looking at the cold drink section near self checkout and the lady working self checkout snaps at us saying, "That side is closed!". As we just went about our business shopping cause we weren't done yet she walks up to us again, points to a self checkout and again, "Um, there's one open over there! Rolls her eyes and stomps off". We were just minding our own business and her attitude was uncalled for.
