I wish this store had more zero sugar offerings. Other Safeway stores have more options to shooter from. For example, two sugar free jello choices at this location while the College locations have five choices of sugar free jello. The store is very friendly and clean. The Safeway brand movie butter popcorn is crack too. Don't buy it or you'll finish the whole bag in one sitting!

Friendly and helpful staff! I am a manual wheelchair user, and had no problem getting assistance from the staff wjen it came to finding and reaching certain items. Updates: 3/18/23 Masks are optional, not required, but some staff still wears them! I recieved service above and beyond with my purchase today!

One of the most cleanest and we'll stocked stores. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to check out. The staff is always so friendly at this location than others I've been to.

Great customer service, above and beyond! A month or so ago I had been walking through the produce section and swinging my arms atound like the spaz that I am when my gall darn wedding ring went flying off my hand and into a cooler full of kale and whatnot. Well, four guys who worked there took it all apart, even climbing on top of the cooler and eventually found my ring! I was crying and freaking out and they saved the day. When I attempted to give them a cash tip, they refused and just said they were happy to help. God bless those dudes, they really helped me! My wedding ring is my mose prized possession.

If you're considering working for this company turn around and run. The ppl in the stores are great, but "Safeway The Company" is terrible, their paycheck system is purposefully confusing, and the UFCW 367 is an absolute joke. I never once heard from a union rep, was not given any info about it; just told to pay dues or else. I understand needing a job, but save yourself the stress and APPLY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Stopped by to do my grocery shopping & get some dinner. I have ate the Safeway deli Chinese for over 30 yrs. The best tasting. Not today. Noodles like boot laces. All the chicken entrees were burnt. Nothing new coming out Their just standing willing to dish out awful food instead of throwing it away. They couldn't wait to get out of there. Looked bored. Will never return to that store.

Difficult to locate prices of produce. Cashier Selei slammed my bananas down on conveyor belt after ringing them up. Looked over the WA Dept of Health Fruit and Vegetable voucher a long time. Then tried to tell me it wasn't valid for my purchase. She was unpleasant and surly.

My husband and I shop at the Safeway on Cleveland almost daily! We love how clean the store is but to be honest we have had more bad encounters with staff than good. But tonight, Mary, helped us and just went above and beyond with her kindness and just overall friendliness. My husband and I talk often about how people have become so rude everywhere we go from coffee shop employees to restaurant employees. It's awful... We wish more people could be like Mary. She is awesome. Thank you Mary, you honestly made our night better just with your kindness.

It's a clean Safeway in a good part of the county. Prices are a bit high in the grocery market, but it's a more convenient in and out than Costco, or WinCo, or Fred's.

Rude. Night mgr beat on my car window trying to force me to move. Loser punk. Always smoking at the front door like a homeless urchin. Unprofessional. I would not allow this jerk to clean gum off my shoe. If it was my store I’d fire him on the spot.

I can always count on Safeway to have the best cuts of local meat with sales pretty regularly and great customer service!

I just love our little Safeway in Lacey. (Yelm Hwy) I’ve been shopping here the last five years. I’ve become great acquaintances with people there. The cashiers are super friendly and very helpful. The gals in the meat department are amazing and always have what I need. All employees I’ve had interactions with have been pleasant. My shopping experiences are always good. I’ve even enjoyed having my pharmacy here. Lately though it makes me cringe thinking about needing to pick up my medication. Hopefully though people will have patience with them as it’s not their fault. All in all it’s a great store.

This is a clean and convenient supermarket. It’s been in the neighborhood for many decades. They have a good produce and meat selection. Also a great bakery with a variety of fresh cakes and breads. they have a large selection of domestic and craft beers, as well as a well-stocked liquor and wine display. The deli section section is quite popular any time of the day. The clerks and staff are personable and professional.

This is the best store ever! I have left my wallet in the shopping cart and dropped it on the ground outside my car, and came back hours or days later to find that Safeway had it at customer service with all of the money and credit cards intact. Same thing with my cell phone. Two or three times and I get it back every time. Plus they’ve got all the regular Safeway, grocery stuff, which is just fine.

Really nice grocery store with some great deals. The location feels pretty safe and is well lit at night. The young, slender guy that works at the front is amazing( wish I remembered your name)! We were visiting from out of town and he was so helpful. My only complaint was the big guy working the registers. He was extremely rude and should not be working with the public. Besides him, I have nothing but good things to say about this location.

Safeway is very nice indeed the staff was quite friendly I didn't see any problems that was some items not directly on the shelf but you could find it elsewhere in the store very nice atmosphere highly recommended

A small grocery store in a busy area. Stsrbucks located in the store. It gets very crowded during usual shopping hours. Staff is friendly and polite.

Usual safeway. I like the Starbucks inside the Safeway more than the one that is outside which recently opened. I wanted to grind my coffee and usually Starbucks will do for their branded coffee seeds But the newly started Starbucks next to Safeway refused to do it. When I took it to the one inside safeway, the gal there obliged and made my day.

The bakery lady was so nice and took time out of her day to make a garlic bread for me on the spot. I thought she was just grabbing one already made but no she made it right then. Thank you so much for being so kind and absolutely going out of your way to help me. Morning crew baker needs a raise

This location posted Christmas Eve hours of 7pm. I was aware of the hours, and drove in with respect to getting their employees out on time as i needed two fast items. I would have been in and out within 3 minutes using a self checkout line. They turned me away at 6:40. I needed milk for breakfast tomorrow, and some ice cream tomorrow. Nope. Highest possible prices of any competitor, and this.

I have a lot of bad memories at this Safeway, it doesn't seem like it has gotten any better. Not the most ghetto... But it just feels like they could do better

Best of the Safeway stores in western Washington. Everything in one spot shopping. Postal, ATM, gas, pharmacy, deli is well stocked, 🤫 neighborhood secret.

Rated it poorly because I was standing in line at the at the deli. I asked the server at the deli the question in regards to pricing. I couldn't read it without my glasses. he was rude and then when I requested to grab some food cuz I already knew what I wanted he said I would have to wait in line cuz it had been people waiting there before me no that was not the fact that's why I was at the register then I was the first person in line next. I'll never return there.

Love this store. It has a relaxed feel with polite and friendly staff. Store kept clean throughout. The produce is great. Amazing meat choices. The store is a little smaller than some others but there isn't anything I cannot find here.

I’ve shopped here around closing hours, 10pm-1am & I just want to mention the staff as they are incredibly nice and helpful! Jeremy Adams has gone above & beyond as he is tremendously caring & professional. I want to mention Landon as well as I have even forgotten a big case of beverages & he even ran out the door to catch me. He also shares alot of info I didn’t know, about items in the store & other miscellaneous things. Jose is also very welcoming & personable. I also want to mention Kirby Baker who is professional & nice. They’re all really good at their jobs & have all helped me during my shopping experiences over the past years!

Excellent service with Allen on check stand 4 Saturday 9/25 in the morning. We recently moved closer to the Yelm highway location which sucked. Kathy B over there is a terrible employee who has been complained about multi times but she’s still there. Glad we came back to tumwater. Every employee has always been friendly. Thank you all!

This has been “my store” for many years, I shop here often! Bakery is great; I don’t utilize the deli much but the times I have it has always been enjoyable. ❤️ this store!

Love this Safeway and staff but really frustrating that the most of the deli staff like to cut corners when making breakfast burritos. Unless the assistant manager makes it for you plan to take it home and reheat it as you will have a big pile of stuff in big chunks tore apart by hand that didn’t get warmed properly.

This rating is for the Deli. I was there around 2pm on a weekday for a few groceries and a quick lunch. Either they were out of items or what was there was severely overcooked. Another customer asked for fresher food and the deli attendant said they didn't have a cook on at the time. Safeway, please either do better at keeping fresher food or out a sign listing times the cook is on.
