👍👍 I went to Spire Tunbridge Wells for surgery 28.06.22 and had read a few negative reviews on here. I wanted to write this to say that all the staff I encountered were friendly, professional, kind and couldn't do enough to help for the duration of my stay. I want to particularly mention Imogen and Jac... People often mention staff, hospital, surgery, Spire, recommend, care, kind, received, team, friendly,

I went to Spire Tunbridge Wells for surgery 28.06.22 and had read a few negative reviews on here. I wanted to write this to say that all the staff I encountered were friendly, professional, kind and couldn't do enough to help for the duration of my stay. I want to particularly mention Imogen and Jacob who were assigned to my ward/area. Both were very attentive, quick to respond to my needs and questions and both genuinely cared. I would highly recommend this hospital as I found the care excellent and would be more than happy to go back for any further treatment if needed. If you have an upcoming surgery or treatment, then I hope this goes some way to easing any concerns you might have and be assured from my experience.

After feeling very unwell and worrying about NHS wait times, I decided to see a consultant at the spire. The doctor was concerned and I had a blood test done the same day. He said he would refer me for a scan privately. A week later I have had no results from the blood test. I have not heard anything about the scan and the consultants secretary took 4 days to reply to my phone calls/emails. The secretary at spire hospital could not even get hold of the consultants secretary. I decided to go to KIMS hospital instead, the service received was significantly better. Overall, I am really disappointed with the service received at the Spire.

I have recently had surgery under Spire Healthcare for an issue that has been going on for some time. From the initial consultation, to my blood tests, right up until my surgery date, the staff at the Spire Hospital were absolutely wonderful. The nurses really looked after me, they even called me to see how I was getting on very recently, which was really thoughtful and much appreciated. I definitely would recommend them to any of my family or my friends, and would definitely come back here if I needed caring.

I was referred here by the NHS for a procedure.I received a letter from them making me an appointment for a telephone consultation.Prior to this,I made numerous attempts to speak to someone with regard to my registration-probably spent a total of two hours waiting for a reply which never happened.I also left messages which, surprise, surprise, went unanswered. When I finally had my consultation I was told they couldn’t perform the procedure.Perhaps if someone had bothered to look an my scans they could have realised this from day one,and saved a lot of hassle.I have now been referred back to the NHS who I hold in very high regard and do appreciate the pressure that they have been under due to covid. Can’t help feeling that I am better off waiting than dealing with these people who can’t even answer the phone!

I had hip replacement surgery here and everyone - from the receptionists to the surgeon, theatre staff and nurses - was fantastic. The food was tasty and there was always tea and biscuits to hand just when you needed them. The physio follow up treatment has also been excellent. No one wants to go to hospital but these guys made it all ok.

I am not normally a superlative kind of guy .... However really the service I have enjoyed today has been second to none. In for a routine operation for the day the staff were wonderful .... Can't recommend highly enough

I was under the wonderful care of Mr Chappatte and his team (both clinical and administrative) and I would very highly recommend him. However the management team at the hospital is unresponsive, uncaring and unprofessional. I was treated rudely and abruptly by Jan, one of the receptionists and logged a complaint as I would not want anyone else to be treated like this. This was mid-December and despite emailing the reception manager, the hospital director and the complaint manager no one has had the courtesy to respond to any of my emails. So 5 stars to Mr Chappatte, his team, amazing nurses and healthcare assistants and 0 star (regrettably I can there is no "zero" options) for the management team at this hospital!

My experience was like being cared for by one big family. The nursing staff and all people connected to the ward work as a team who all seemed to support each other. Everyone on the team was aware of my needs and there were no blanks in continued care as staff changed their shifts. I was never left waiting if I pressed my call buzzer and never felt like my requests were a strain on the ñursing staff time. My surgery went well and being extra nervous I was reassured the whole time. When I came out of surgery I was kept warm, hydrated and safe. This has been my best experience of a hospital stay ever and I sincerely thank everyone from the bottom of my heart

I can't praise ALL of the staff at Spire Tunbridge Wells enough. They were so happy in their work and put me at ease from the first xrays, blood tests and pre-op assessments right through to my operation and after. Mr.Oni and his team's banter took away all the nerves that I had whilst they were preparing me for surgery. Thank you all for your wonderful care.

Worse hospital ever. Came for an MRI scan. Then was took out of the waiting room and then asked to sit in a smell cloak room for more than 10 minutes. Listening to the machine when I have anxiety. Never again.

What a lovely day out with lovely people - well that’s how you made me feel! Everyone was a pleasure to engage with and I couldn’t have been made to feel more comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend anyone requiring hospital intervention.

I would like to thank Mr. Benson and the whole team at Spire Tunbridge Wells for the excellent care I received for my shoulder surgery in June 2023. Great professionalism, communication and understanding shown by all members of staff during each stage of the journey.

Booked to see a private consultant. Before the appointment received an email saying that we would be informed if they felt any additional tests were needed beforehand. No information about this was ever sent so it was a suprise when we turned up and the nurse started doing a ECG. We then assumed this must be a normal measurement they took before seeing the cardiologist. The nurse then couldn't actually take an ECG reading as it was a hot evening and the pads would not stick. About a week after we received emails about paying over £100 for an ECG that, 1. we hadn't been told would be needed and that 2. wasn't even ever taken. It doesn't take a genius to work out that it's not legal to charge for services that are not provided. I detailed this in an email to them and instead of responding to me they harassed my husband, who isn't well, into paying it by saying if he didn't pay it they would take him to court.

I recently came to the Spire hospital and meet a very kind and understanding consultant. He was very quick in reassuring both me and husband with our concerns and questions. Within one month I was seen and been operated on with excellent care from start to finish. Outpatients department were friendly amd welcoming. Pre operating the staff were very welcoming, friendly and reassuring throughout the whole process which made me feel more at ease. On arrival everyone introduced themselves all staff were super friendly and had all the time in the world for you from the nurses, chef , catering staff, porters, pharmacy etc. Aftercare was amazing they really looked after you and went above and beyond to ensure your stay was most comfortable experience. I had a room with a view and was informed by the staff that from my window I would be able to see deer and rabbits early morning and late evening which was lovely to see. I would strongly recommend this hospital.

Not impressed... I have been seen at The Spire before and received a "satisfactory" service... But this time the receptionist was unhelpful and just kept insisting that I had a "referral form" from my GP before booking an ultrasound - the lack of which was the exact reason for going to a private clinic in the first place. She just kept repeating herself in spite of the fact that one of their own doctors could have provided the referral, she declined to help or make any kind of progress... So I guess with The Spire, you can go private - so long as your NHS GP has referred you (!?).

Shambles. Cannot even send an x-ray which was paid for as an urgent, possible cancer query. DO NOT GO HERE. Just to clarify, this was for my husband, lest someone else who cannot say someone's name even vaguely accurately feels the need to telephone me asking why I've writen this review.

The Nurse and Specialist Surgeon that look after my Fiancé were amazing, but this review is not about them it’s about the Hospital. I have never been spoken to so rudely under these conditions in my life. If there was a zero 0 or minus I would have rated it. The administration person I spoke when I collected my fiancé, after an operation that was delayed through no fault of ours, the front doors of closed 21:30 I rang the buzzer and was not let in to help her with her things or help to the door. I was barked at like a dog, told yes yes she’ll be there in ten minutes, I said she’ll need help with her things and barked at again saying the nurse will do that and was cut off from the Tanoy. You don’t pay thousands of pounds on private health care to be spoken to or treated like that. My opinion is, stay clear of the Spire, the NHS are at least courteous, kind, understanding and polite even with the shortness of resources and working conditions they have, or go to another Private Hospital but not this one. Never again.
