My husband and I recently got married at this venue this summer and the venue as well all of it's team working there were absolutely incredible! We truly couldn't have asked for more. In particular we worked with Emily, the Events Coordinator at the Spa Hotel over the last year tirelessly planning our wedding all the way from Dubai! She remained professional, supportive, extremely organised and friendly throughout. We really would not have had the amazing day that we had without her. All of the team were more than accommodating and kind in supporting the requests and needs of ours and many overseas guests. Denise the reservations manager was always brilliant and super approachable also. She worked so hard so hard to make sure that many of our overseas family members and guests would be happy. We would like to send a big thank you also to Matte for his absolute spot on immaculate running of the whole day, (we really couldn't have asked for more) and Nikolai who was only ever to happy to help and assist. David was also great in helping with prior-night preparations and welcoming us all. Thank you all so much! Aside from the superb team you also have: the stunning outside grounds and tastefully decorated charming boutique style rooms in the hotel. Food was high quality and tasty too! Definitely check it out for your wedding, a special occasion or just a lovely stay away in the Tunbridge Wells countryside!

Quiet place nice grounds. All the employees were polite and happy to help. The swimming pool was quite small 3-4 people swimming in it makes it look crowded, there was only 1 sauna for women and 1 for men, again small could only fit 3 people comfortably. The food at the restaurant was acceptable, rather overpriced.

We were upgraded for free to a gigantic room, amazing bath and shower! The pool was tiny and full of kids. Then an aqua aerobics class arrived. You'd think the pool would be for hotel guests only. No jacuzzi which was disappointing. Rooms great but 'spa' needs improvement! The grounds are beautiful

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Spa hotel. The hotel was welcoming to families. There are designated times the children could use the pool at a convenient time for families. The spa is small but lovely, a few more seats would be ideal. The staff are exceptional - friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and they take great care with allergies and special diets. My daughter had a wonderful gluten-free fish and chips meal and an amazing gluten-free cooked breakfast. She had lots of choice and felt safe and relaxed thanks to the super waiting staff and chefs, which made our weekend. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The decor was beautiful, it was modern and luxurious. There were lovely grounds to walk around. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of staying in the Spa Hotel. My reason for being in the town was for work. However, I am glad the company have chosen The Spa Hotel for my stay. The facilities are absolutely divine, the breakfast fast wonderful and the staff extremely polite and friendly. The only suggestion is about the menu for dinner, as I had 5 nights and didn’t want to go out, the vegetarian option is the only one, besides the sides options. Nevertheless, easy walk to the town centre with a lot of restaurant options. I highly recommend

Incredible wedding venue. We have been to some nice venues in the past but this has a whole different level of classic. The food was delicious and well-presented as you'd expect. Most of the staff were very helpful and made the whole day run seamlessly. Can't wait to come back soon.

Cons: Dreadful clueless reception staff, tiny and expensive room, small and dirty pool. No Jacuzzi. Overall expensive for what it is. Pros : the hotel could be great. The building is nice, the breakfast room lovely with lovely staff. Good night reception service - guy who works there was lovely and helpful. Surrounding great

From the start all the staff were extremely courteous. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. My elderly father had a fall in the spa and was instantly tended to buy a team of calm and helpful staff members. Tina, the floor manager, stayed with us while we called a&e and was calming and charmingly distracting. The pool offered great fun to the children. Despite our misfortune we had a great stay and would absolutely recommend it.

Very impressive building and grounds. Plenty of parking space. Very warm and friendly staff. Ask for the poached eggs at breakfast instead of fried they are really special...ask my wife if you doubt me. I used it to visit Sevenoaks but don't travel when the schools are coming out. Handy for everything so will be visiting again.

We had an amazing stay at the Spa Hotel for my wife's birthday. Be it at the spa, reception or the restaurant, the staff were absolutely lovely, always so friendly, welcoming & keen to make sure our stay was as nice as possible. Massage was really nice, pool relaxing, breakfast excellent, grounds are lovely, etc. The spacious room was great size, especially considering we were travelling with a baby & needed space for a cot & a play area for our little one. To cap it all off we got a complimentary room upgrade from Denise the manager halfway through our stay. A fantastic hotel experience, we're really keen to come back.

Reallt lovely room (103) massive bedroom and bathroom (seperated bath and walk in shower) overlooking the front of the hotel. Everything very clean and comfy bed. Good selection of dinner and breakfast food and all very tasty. Staff very polite and helpful. The pool, steam room and sauna were very nice. The changing rooms were small especially when more than a couple of people in it. Shame there was no jacuzzi but nice all the same.

Spent a night at The Spa Hotel for my partner's birthday. We also booked a couple's massage at the spa before checking into the hotel. Overall, it was a lovely stay. The treatment was amazing and the spa (sauna, steam room and pool) was lovely. The pool itself is a good size for a hotel, with lovely views of the garden. The area around the pool is a little small, with very limited seating - which is a shame. There are separate male and female saunas which was a little disappointing especially as we were staying as a couple. Overall the facilities were nice and as I say, the treatments were amazing. The public areas of the hotel are very well presented, clean, light and well finished - in a lovely period building. The room was slightly tired, albeit a great size and very comfortable. The room didn't quite match some of the photos on the hotel's website - perhaps the are going through a process of renovating the rooms... The staff were amazing. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was amazing. The gardens/ grounds were very nice for a wander. The hotel is ideally located and just a short drive from everything Royal Tunbridge Wells has to offer. Overall, a lovely hotel, nice spa and very helpful and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel. Had an excellent night sleep and the bath/shower were both hot/excellent pressure. The includes breakfast was device and another highlight of my stay. The only slight negative was a long wait to check-in with no acknowledgement from the various staff at the reception. Otherwise staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Agreed to meet an ex colleague there for a coffee. Waited some time to be served and had to ask a passing staff member to take our order. When we asked for a cake, we were offered choc brownies or a packet of biscuits. Cake arrived after we drank the coffee / tea. Not impressed, especially as there were only a handful of guests there.

Poor value and service = disappointment Paying for a “deluxe room” and getting a mattress akin to that of my student days is quite frankly unacceptable. All attention has gone into superficial aesthetics, and whilst I agree it’s nice to come into your room and say, that looks nice, isn’t the main function of a hotel room to sleep? If you miss the mark on the bed, you have failed to understand what service you are actually providing. Docked 2 stars for that atrocity. (I may send you the bill from my osteopath) Moody staff - you are in the service game. Only docked 1 star as everyone has a bad day. Shape up or or ship out.

The hotel is nice and there is Aircon in the rooms, however requesting early check-in got me a response that was less than useful and breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive due to what was obviously being understaffed and not clearly telling people wait times were long. (Although they did comp breakfast when I complained but even if they hadn't the food was not worth the price). I'd stay again but skip breakfast, cheers

Stayed for a long weekend. Breakfast is the biggest disappointment. Takes far too long to take our breakfast order and a 25 min wait for the food. Usually not exactly how I ordered it, but I didn’t want to wait for another 25 mins! Food was never piping hot! Great location 10min walk into the town centre. Hotel is large with many function rooms. So Weddings and parties are prevalent.

We were at this hotel for a family wake after their funeral. We did not stay at the hotel overnight. The staff were sensitive, friendly and helpful. The buffet food for the wake was excellent in its variety and very tasty. There was plenty of food for everyone. It is difficulty to cater when the numbers are very uncertain. The hotel coped with this very well. On the whole, for this type of event, I recommend them most highly.

Here for 1x night on business and super impressed, surpassed all expectations! Gym is well equipped and pool a good size for a light swim. Service is so professional, friendly and helpful! The room is very spacious and the view across the garden, with mature trees and hills beyond is stunning. Housekeeping have done a marvellous job and nice touches, (robe & slippers, still & sparkling water | great biscuits tea & coffee) all there. Ordered room service and the food is outstanding, possibly best chips I've ever had, with my favourite Tipson ketchup, great dessert too! YUM! Final great experience was breakfast (I walked in to someone complaining but I still don't know about what) - Service was warm and friendly and high end butter and yogurt brands I love. All in all, great stay!

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff were welcoming, extremely friendly, professional and did everything with a smile which immediately put one at ease especially after a long journey. The room was exquisite, very clean with a wonderful view across the countryside. An amazing, extremely comfortable bed gave me the best night's sleep I've had in ages. There was a plentiful supply of accessories, soft towels and bathrobes, slippers etc. I would love to have tried the extended facilities including the indoor swimming pool, spa, tennis courts etc if I had more time. I would highly recommend a stay at this great hotel.

A flawed experience. Stayed here for a wedding. Outdoor ceremony was an OK experience. Wonderful location. Folding chairs were not great and slightly unsteady. The ceremony was not audible as Register was not given a microphone. The harpist was louder and could be clearly heard and beautifully. Afternoon tea was a pleasant experience. Food was nice but the burger and the aracini although tastey were cold. No sauce for the aracini? Our rooms were not ready until mid afternoon. The spa was a letdown for the size of Hotel. The pool was small and there was no jacuzzi. The steam and sauna rooms were not adjoining the pool but down the corridor? The room was of good size and the ensuite was functional. The reception room was well set out but their was only limited walking space. The food was nice but not to our taste. We thwn had a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast gad all the usual suspects. The hot food was served which was a nice touch. David and Lorraine were excellent through-out. Well Done.

The morning breakfast and dining experience was the best part of this stay for us. Kira was personable, friendly and funny- she made mornings a pleasure each day. The food and the view from the restaurant helped too. Catered to a vegan diet and allergies.

Stayed overnight with friends for a spa break a few months ago. We were very impressed with hospitality. Exceptionally friendly staff, clean facilities. We got a room for each of us. Rooms are good size for single occupancy. I slept through the night which I rarely do when at home. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, not too sweet and just the right amount for me. The spa was a bit too basic and small for my liking, but can't fault it for the pricing. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

My sister and her fiancée chose this as their wedding venue, and it was perfect! The hotel had a classic feel, yet it's also well-maintained. Staff were also helpful and hospitable. Food choices are good as well.

A lovely hotel and spa. The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and sn excellent, powerful shower. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We only ate breakfast here but it was great and Kira who worked in the restaurant was so welcoming and attentive, she made all the guests feel special and is an asset to the hotel. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and our bed was decorated with petals in the shape of a heart ❤️ (a nice touch). The hotel is well located and only a 15-20 min walk to the Pantiles, or £5 in a taxi, organised by the front desk.

The Spa is a lovely period hotel offering many amenities. My room was small but still felt a little luxurious and more than adequate for my solo stay. I ordered room service (Spa Club sandwich and cauliflower cheese) which was tasty and arrived quickly. The check-in/check-out staff were efficient and friendly so all in all, a great night's stay and I would definitely book a return visit.

The hotel was just okay which was sad as I wanted to enjoy my little birthday getaway and I expected so much more. I wanted to stay for a night to chill and relax, so going to a spa hotel was ideal. But everything at the spa was just small. The pool was small (you had to wait if there were three people in the pool), the sauna was small, as was the steam room. Weirdly called the Spa Hotel, but it was probably the smallest spa I’ve ever used. The room was fine, nothing special or needs noting. However, the breakfast was completely underwhelming. There was the usual cold buffet on offer, and we had the option to order a cooked breakfast which was made to order. But it turned up cold. Cold beans, cold hash browns, cold sausage. My local cafe serves food piping hot, and with many more customers to deal with. There were only five tables in the restaurant during breakfast, so I’m not sure why this happened. So disappointed as I wanted so more from my stay. On the whole, it was okay but I dont think I’ll be returning. Really surprising for Tunbridge Wells.

This was the third time my wife and I had stayed here (last being 2016) and it did not disappoint. We arrived a little early for check in, so had a drink in the bar 1st. The bar was clean and the barman was excellent. After checking in, we used the pool and sauna, which was clean and tidy. We ate dinner and breakfast which at first glanced seems expensive, but once eaten, was well worth it. The portion sizes were spot on, and left you full. The room was excellent and spacious also. Definitely recommend!

Only stayed one nice arrived early hours of the morning and the staff were great, checked in fast and got to the room. Was nice and had all you would expect. The room itself I feel was quite out dated, but there is limited amounts to what you can do with a building that old. Bathroom was great nice and modern and felt fresh. Overall it was a good nights sleep and then check out was nice and easy with a smiling reception staff. In my opinion I don’t feel the price matched the quality of the room hence the 3/5. This could be different if I had more time to experience what else was on offer in terms of dinner, pool and spa. Never the less it was nice.

Room huge, does need a second easy chair for 2 guests. Chair comfortable as was the bed. Delicious tea, coffee and ginger biscuits. Lots of good quality toiletries and good quality towels and loo roll. Spa changing rooms, steam room is a little tired and quite small, sauna small but very effective, the pool was cold but lovely, again just 10metres long. Towels and locker token provided.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in an indulgent room. It was beautifully presented and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The bar had a very relaxed atmosphere, great for relaxing after dinner. We made full use of the spa and the treatments were very good. We will be back again.

A lovely weekend visit with superb facilities and a friendly atmosphere. Staff service was great, always on hand to help. Good parking and close to local points of interest. Gym is well equipped for all your training needs. Good spa facilities including pool, sauna and steam. Sunday lunch was delicious Highly recommended place to stay

This is a proper hotel. Not some characterless converted office block belonging to a bland chain. It's been renovated recently and tastefully - the event rooms look magnificent now. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, the food was first class and the gardens are simply gorgeous. And then there's the spa with pool. I chose a spacious room which was certainly that and very comfortable. I love coming here and hope to do so again very soon. Thank you.

Was treated to a birthday meal there, and it was exceptional. The service was attentive and incredibly friendly. The food was cooked to perfection, bar staff and waiting staff very good and interacted with the whole group in a very professional manner. I cannot fault the evening at all. The rooms are lovely to stay in. We'll worth the money. And hats of to the chefs, amazing food, great presentation.
