We
travelled
from
Peterborough
to
The
Chequers
at
Lamberhurst
to
meet
up
with
some
friends
for
something
to
eat.Over
the
weekend
we
ate
there
twice.
Friday
night
we
ate
the
Fisherman's
plate
and
the
Hunter's
plate.
Generous
servings
and
the
food
was
amazing,
extremely
good
sized
portions
and
tasted
delicious.
Dessert
was
the
dessert
plate
of
the
day
(
cherry
cloufoute
with
white
chocolate
ice
cream)
and
brownie.
Both
were
generous
portions
and
extremely
tasty.
We
went
back
for
Sunday
lunch
as
it
had
been
recommended
to
us.
We
both
had
the
pork
shoulder
roast
which
came
with
Yorkshire
pudding,
crispy
roast
potatoes,
green
vegetables,
carrots
and
leek
au
gratin,apple
sauce
and
gravy.
It
was
nice
to
have
a
selection
of
vegetables
that
had
not
been
cooked
to
death.
The
staff
were
very
friendly,
knew
exactly
what
was
on
the
menu
and
able
to
describe
the
dishes
without
having
to
check
with
the
kitchen.
We
did
not
stay
in
the
rooms
so
we
are
not
able
to
rate
them.
Would
we
go
again
.....yes
