Great flat hike, it was a calm hike from the center following the railway. I went early in the day, I felt pretty safe with the occasional dog barking and wanting to chase so be aware. As mentioned by others, you do have to walk past the dump to get there. It seems odd but you will on the right way walking past it.

It’s a great walk from the centre of town, not too long and you can carry on to the Cañon del Inca. Not a difficult walk, about 3.5h return, make sure you have sufficient water with you as it gets hot. Well marked once in the canyon river bed and safe. Many other people visiting and horse riders too. Plenty of photo opportunities.
