Best hostel in Turku. Boat with cabins. Amazing value for money. Rooms/Cabins 42-55 euros per Night including morning sauna and great breakfast. Just try once and you will stay there always in Turku.

This amazing hostel is the best! It is a ship, and you get to sleep in pasanger cabins. Sheets are fresh, staff is super friendly and the best part is SAUNA! They actually have it on board. It is free in the wee hours of the morning (6-7.30), for the other times you need to register in advance. We loved it.

A good cheaper stay for a night or two. As the rooms are literally ship cabins, they are of course a bit tight. Good basic basic breakfast (coffee, bread, toppings, porridge etc). The cruise ship terminals and Turku Castle are at a walking distance.

Lunch restaurant is very good quality. Salty seas exotic atmosphere, as can be expected from old cruising vessel.

I loved this place. Yes, the rooms are not very large, but it is a very charming old ship and I wasn't expecting a king sized bed in a king sized room. The rooms are inexpensive, and, as I was on a budget, this was important to me. The staff was very helpful and they seemed to genuinely enjoy working here and helping their clients. There is a free breakfast in the morning, and, even better, a free morning sauna. The ship is close to the ferry terminal, the Turku Castle, and the Maritime Museum.

Lovely experience. Good location near public transport, but secluded enough that you can hide out somewhere quiet. Having a cafe on board was also a nice convenience. In the summer heat, it was great to finally stay somewhere with air conditioning. Was lucky enough to get a cabin to myself, but would've appreciated a power socket nearer to the beds. Great place to stay otherwise.

Unique vintage hostel. If you are looking for something exclusive then this is not for you. Everything is kind of old. This hostel is not suitable for people with physical disabilities. This hostel has lots of stairs and even narrow stairs and hallways. No elevator. Location is right next to Turku castle. Free parking. Breakfast was quite simple but good. Our room was not clean. Matresses were stained and dirty. Floor not cleaned. Bunk beds (wood) were really old and squeeky. I was afraid that the top bunk bed would collapse so I slept on the floor. Nice kitchen/livingroom where you can heat and eat your own food. Nice large refridgerator for hostel quests.

It's a hostel, not a hotel, and it's an old steamship, so even the private rooms are tiny ship cabins. Sheets and towels are provided but count on making your own bed when you get there. My cabin was stuffy and oppressively hot (81F / 26.5 C) during my summertime stay;the electric space heater in the corner didn't bode well for winter, either. Breakfast was not extensive but it was tasty and the coffee was very good. The best thing is the location - close to the castle and right on (in) the water. Other good thing was the price, perfect for a solo stay at a music festival.

⚓🚢 S/S Bore 🌊🏛️ Anchored in Turku, the hostel and museum ship S/S Bore stands as a maritime time capsule, weaving a colorful tapestry of history and nostalgia that spans oceans and decades. The journey of S/S Bore commenced in 1960 in Oskarshamn, Sweden, marking the beginning of a seafaring odyssey that would traverse the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean. From its maiden voyage to the many ports it graced, the ship's history is a testament to the maritime heritage it carries. For 17 years, the ship sailed the Turku - Mariehamn - Stockholm route, endearing itself to the people of Turku who affectionately dubbed it "Nolla-Bore." The ship became more than a vessel; it became a part of the city's identity, forging a connection with the hearts of those who embraced it. S/S Bore's adventures extended beyond Turku, making guest appearances on the Helsinki - Stockholm route. Each voyage added a chapter to the ship's storied history, creating memories for passengers and crew alike. The ship's presence in Turku evokes a sense of nostalgia, echoing the laughter of passengers, the creaking of the wooden deck, and the tales of the sea. As a hostel and museum, S/S Bore becomes a living link between the past and the present, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the maritime heritage it embodies. S/S Bore isn't just a ship; it's a floating heritage, carrying the echoes of seafaring adventures and the memories of a bygone era. Anchored in Turku, it becomes a beacon of maritime nostalgia, a place where history and the sea converge in a timeless embrace. ⚓🚢 #SSBoreMaritimeLegacy #TurkuSeafaringHeritage

It's a good hostel. Suited my needs. Everything is super clean and you get a private small room. Breakfast is included in the price. Overall a fair price. Only detail is the orange juice of the breakfast which is really really bad. Switching to a natural one would be required and much appreciated by the customers.

It's a pretty unique experience, the location is great if you arrive/ depart by ferry. Otherwise there is a bus stop a 5 minute walk away, as well as a supermarket. The rooms/ interior are a bit old, but it fits the overall vibe of the ship

It's a bit rustic, but clean. A nice and unusual place to sleep. Value for the price is super and even the breakfast was good. Great place to stay, I would definitely go there again.

It was not bad for its price, the problem was that the hot water wasn’t working in my room so i had to change rooms and they were helpful with that. The bed sheets and blanket cover, you have to put it yourself which was kinda annoying especially when you had a long day. The breakfast was 3/5 but the service was 5/5

Fantastic experience, how it was to travel on cruise ship long ago. Staff is very nice. Boat provides conference rooms, breakfast (no restaurant service during winter weekends and covid time unfortunately). Boat offers common space though, with the small kitchenette and lounging space. There is little museum, a window to the life of the crew and passengers. It is a chance to sleep in the museum, but there are of course bathrooms in the cabins Accessibility note Unfortunately it is sixties boat, narrow corridors, stairs, thresholds, no lifts and no way to install them.

Sänky on minulle ykkösasia.

Astiat vietiin itse pois. Esitteistä saimme paremman kuvan.

This place is ridiculously awesome. Such a fun place to stay and such a short walk from the Viking line terminal. They have free breakfast, a museum, great space on the deck to go outside and a dance floor and bar that probably operates during non covid summer season.

Not really something special. If you can afford anything else, go there. Some mold in WC, walls and floor dirty. Cramped rooms. Cannot fit to shower if youre taller than 190 and feels like showering inside a plastic bag.

Cool boat hostel but also a bit loud in some areas of the ship and the breakfast is really crowded. The rooms are clean and good.

Fun place to stay and different than the usual. It has a great location,. And free parking, so you can see the city. From the hotel you can walk the waterway right into the center. The breakfast was ok, and service was good.

This was very unique. They Had too big sheets and too big pillow case that didn't fit the pillow AT ALL. I like the bathrooms with one toilet paper holder per person (2). Only one charge hole on the whole room and the cars(card keys to the room) stops working If your mobile phone is too close to the card.
